NARUTO: Lost with You
Chapter 1: The Virus
Its raining in the night of Konoha, a light downpour at most, it's enough to get everything wet at least. So natureually today not many people are out and about the village. Even Kiba, who enjoys the rain, is inside today, but not because of some un-logical depression caused by the rain. Actually Kiba is inside today because His sister, Hana, is not feeling so well. Aparently she caught some strange disease on her last mission. It's a strange weapon the enemy was developeing, and while she was able to stop production of the new virus, she was unfortunateley infected.
"I am not quite sure what will happen next" said Tsunade, who had personally come down to check Hana's developement. "I wish I could do more for her, but this is a new Virus, that I have no idea what would work against or inhance it...All we can do is wait." She continued. "WAIT! THERE HAS TO BE MORE YOU CAN D-" Kiba was cut of by his mother, Tsume, placing her hand in front of his mouth and speaking "Thank you Hokage-sama, for all you have done." Tsunade looked up at Kiba apologetically, and then to Tsume with a more stern look. "Tsume...can I see you outside?" Tsunade asked, and with a nod from Tsume they left Kiba to his sisters side.
Kiba took his sisters hand in his own, he rubbed then kissed it gently saying afterwards "I am sorry sis, I want to help but I don't know what to do...I don't even know if you can hear me, but please...Hang On! I WILL find a cure for you, you just wait!" And with that Kiba stood, he looked for Akamaru, who he found in the corner, waiting for her friend to call for her. "AKAMARU!" Kiba called, and with that Akamaru jumped onto his head and murred a sympathetic whine. "Will you help me, Akamaru? Will you help me find a cure for my sister?" Kiba asked trying to look up at the dog that was perched on his head. Akamaru's tail began to wag, and she barked in a definate yes reply.
Tsume and Tsunade re-appeared in the room, only to find the Window left open as well as Kiba and Akamaru gone. Tsume ran to the window "Damn child!" She poked her head out the window with her hands holding the window sill and screamed "KIBA!!!!!! AKAMARU!!!!!! GET BACK HERE! KIBA!!!!!!" Tsume pulled her head in and shut the window "Dammit, he is already gone I will have to go and look for him!" Tsume started to rush out of the room, but was stopped by Tsunade. "Tch, let him go, it won't do any harm...I think..." Tsunade said with her eyes closed, leaned up against the wall. "But, Hokage-sama, he will be considered a missing-nin if I don't stop him before he is out of the village, I have to go!" Tsume replied worriedly. "Do not worry about it Tsume-san, I will classify this as a mission for him. He won't be considered missing." Tsunade comforted Tsume.
======With Kiba and Akamaru======
"Akamaru" Kiba said as he stopped dashing through the village. He pulled himself and Akamaru into hiding behind a bush. "Akamauru, theres the exit, we have to be careful not to get caught, they wouldn't let us go through if we were." Kiba told the dog quietly perched on his head. Kiba looked at the two gate gaurds who were talking while drinking coffee or tea. The rain interupting his vision from time to time as well as muffleing the noice from thier little stand. "It's too bad, that the rain couldn't pick up and make it reall hard for them to see or hear us, huh Akamaru?" Kiba asked his canine-companion, who simply tilted her head to the side. Amazingly, almost right after he said that the rain started to pour really heavilly. "Would you look at that! The Gods must be on our side Akamaru!" and with that, without wanting to waste this oppertunity, Kiba rushed passed the guards who didn't even notice.
As soon as Kiba had gotten a fair distance out he turned to look at the village, he seen that the rain had returned back to the way it was. Kiba turned around and got on his knees and began to pray "Thank you for your aide, may you guide us to accomplishing our goal!" and with that he stood and began to run off further into the surrounding woods.
While running and hopping from tree to tree throughout the forest, Akamaru suddenly jumped off and headed of into a different direction. Kiba realizing this, halted in his tracks and followed her. When he finally caught up to her, he realized she had led him to the trail his sister had used to get home. And thanks to the mud, there was a set of tracks to follow back to where the virus was created. "Good job Akamaru! Lets go!" And with that the two of them folowed the trail, hoping to find the place his sister had been infected.
======Hokage's Mansion, the next morning======
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE LEFT!?" Naruto's voice echoed throught the small office. "uh-uhm, Na-Nar-" Hinata's quiet and trembleing voice was cuttoff by Shino's cold one "Shut up idiot!" Naruto turned to look at Shino, pointing his finger "WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME!?" Shino looked back at him and replied "I said, SHUT UP, IDIOT! Why? Want to make something about it?" Naruto almost cut loose on him but was quickly halted by Tsunade's "SILENCE!" follwed by "Sit down and Shut up!"
"Shino, Hinata, ...and Naruto! Your mission is to see to the safety of Inuzuka Kiba. First off you must find him, second of all do not let him know you are there, unless you HAVE too. This is personal for him, and he may not forgive you for interveening in anything short of life-threatening...And even then..." She looked at the three people before her and then at the door. She sighed "Lee, stop eves dropping and come in." Lee opened the door and came into the room, tears strooling from his eyes "I am sorry ma'am, but I could not help, but over hear that amazing story! I want to help to ma'am, please send me on this mission!"
Tsuande sighed again "Fine then Shino, Hinata, Naruto, and Lee, do you accept this mission?" Shino nodded with a "hmph" and Hinata quietly said "ye-yes Ma'am" While Naruto simply said "Believe It!" But Lee began to dance around "Yay! I got the Mission, I got the Mission!" He then stopped and formed a thought bubble of Gai giving him a thumbs up with that twinkle in his smile saying "Good Job Lee!" Lee mimiked Gai perfectly and said "Thank You Gai-sensei!" everybody else in the room fell silent... After a few ackward moments, Tsuande spoke "ANYWAY, Shino, you are the leader.-" Naruto broke in with a "WHAT!? HOW COME I NEVER GET TO BE THE LEADER!?" Shino grinned an evil grin "Because YOU are an Idiot, who couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag!" Naruto again ready to strike was halted by Tsunade's "IDIOTS! Get going already! You are loseing time!" and with that they scurried out of the room, to go look for Kiba.
