Secret, Inevitable Love

Summary: Naruto’s Mother dies just two days before his tenth birthday. He then moves to Konoha with his Guardian Kakashi. Will Kakashi make an acceptable father, and what happens when he starts to have feelings for a certain chunin . Will Naruto open up when his world seems to be crashing down. And what does a mysterious dark haired boy have to do with being the key.

Note:Kyubbi will not be in this story, and certain events will be changed and altered, However I already have a plan for how this story will play out. And for all those hoping for a death, I'm really not one for sad endings, it's a personal thing. Anyways I hope you enjoy the story beyond that. Though at times things may seem cliche I'm entirely comfortable with that. :). Also I would like to extend my thanks to Lemon Drops, author of Realizations. “Hey mom I want a HUGE cake for my Party on Saturday!!! Seeing as how I’m gonna be in the double digits this time. Woohoo I’m gonna be 10!!! One zero and not zero one!!! Believe it!!!”


The Tall Blonde woman chuckled as she watched her son dancing on the street. She smiled to herself, he was always a ball of positive energy, making everyone around him smile. She sighed before returning to her grocery shopping. “Hey moms, um, your kinda doing that spacing out thing again” “Sorry Naruto, I was just thinking about how adorable you would look in that birthday suit I got you.”


She smiled as he grimaced at this. “But MOM, It’s not even orange, how on earth will people know that it’s me at all. People don’t take notice of anything I do, I like wearing orange because then no one would ignore me anymore.”


She frowned at that. Her boyfriend had left her as soon as he found out she was pregnant, without even giving so much as an explanation…or at the least a goodbye. And so Naruto grew up in the Village Hidden in the waterfall, his fathers home village.


He’d never understood why his mom never left this place, she was always hoping that the man she once loved would come back and take both her and Naruto to a place where they could be a happy family. But it never happened, and as the years rolled on he was known as the bastard by his peers, the misbegotten by the elders, and an illegitimate by the renowned clans.


The boy remained unaware as to why people disliked him so much, thinking maybe that he somehow upset them with the way he would stare at them in wonder. But Naruto tried to always think of the good things, like his Birthday that was coming up. How could people hate something so pure and innocent, however people always fear what they don’t understand, this village had never had a child born without a father by his side during birth.


“Don’t worry Naruto your friends will know who you are just by that loud mouth of your” She laughed as she watched her son pout.

“Mom do you think that I’m a loud brat too?” Her laughing instantly stopped “No honey I don’t think that you’re a loud brat, just very loud, but that’s one thing I love about you, is always hearing your voice, so I know, that even in a world like ours I am not alone, and neither will you” Naruto looked up with a serious look on his face “you promise” “I promise sweetie”

Now that she was done shopping for food she took his hand in hers and they walked back to the corner of the village. She placed the groceries on the table and was about to prepare dinner for her son.

“AAAHHH” Screams could be heard from outside there home “Sand Village is attacking Ru…” The voice was cut to a halt. Smoke could be easily seen from there household. The village was getting burned down and people we’re being mass slaughtered.

A loud voice boomed in the distance “People of this village, hand over the Hero Water at once” The Hero Water is an elixir that only the waterfall village had, it gives the user a large chakra boost too be used whenever the village is in danger but also has the added side effect that it eats away at the users life force and will often kill older shinobi who try to use it. “Naruto hide under the bed and don’t make a sound, promise me Naruto that no matter what you will not make a sound.” The boy nodded and hid under the bed.


Suddenly their door burst open and a man with a sword came in. “Where is the Hero of the Hidden Falls” She was shaking as she replied “I am not one to know such information” “Damn it! You mean to tell me that I came all the way here to the far corners of this filthy village for nothing”

Having said that he grabbed her waist and pulled him towards her. “You’re mine bitch now you will please me and me only” Naruto could only make out their feet from his position. And then he saw the mans pants fall to the floor. “Now suck on it good or I’ll slit your throat” His mother moved forward slowly before going onto her knees. She held the flesh in her hands as it slowly grew harder. She stuck her mouth out tentatively, and lapped at the head. Pre-cum was oozing out of the slit. He grabbed her head and forced her down onto his now aching cock. Her teeth grazed along his shaft at the unexpected force on her head. He growled out loud.

“You bitch!! You’ll pay for that.“ He pulled out his sword and made a quick slicing motion. Her body fell limply to the ground. Her eyes brimming with unshed tears. As she landed on the ground she closed her eyes and extended her arms under the bed.

The man left after pulling his pants on. As soon as the door closed Naruto cried out “Mom, mom, no no no no NOOOO!!!!” She took his hand in hers

“Nar..uto, my son, please, take care of yourself, I love you, and give it some time and people will love you as much as….I…d…” Her eyes closed but seeing his face before she died had allowed her to die in a smile. Her mind focused on her young son and how much happiness he had brought her. She left this world, with no regrets.

“Retreat!!!” The loud sound outside boomed as people we’re scrambling about. “The Hokage as well as the leaf jounin are on their way.” Naruto clung onto his mothers body, and found laying next to her an ID, it was his mothers killers identification tag. He took it into his pocket and swore “From this day forth I will train to be a kage…and I will make sure that this won’t happen to anyone else” After his speech he reverted back to his mothers eyes, and sobbed once again. “I don’t want to lose anyone…Mom you promised, promised you would always be there”

After two hours of sobbing before his mothers body, the door opened. A guy with a green vest stepped inside. He saw the boy clutching the woman’s lifeless body. He felt a twinge of pain.

So far they had only found a handful of survivors and they had been so distraught that he pitied the jounin that discovered them. And now here he was, with the only child survivor he had encountered, clinging on a woman who appeared to be his mother.

He clasped the boys shoulder, and the boy jerked in surprise. He saw the man before him and then cried onto the mans arms. He thought inwardly ‘Kakashi, what did you get yourself into’.

He carried the boy back to the temple to meet with the remaining survivors. “How the hell did that bastard survive, if anyone should have died it should have been that boy” Kakashi glared at the man who said it. “And what pray tell has this boy done to you.” He is a bastard, an unwanted freak. Naruto looked up and at that point he realized why nobody had liked him.

“It’s ok” Naruto looked up at the other man and continued “I’m use to it already, I’m sorry though for causing you trouble” Naruto turned and was starting to walk back towards his destroyed home.

Once again the stranger clasped his shoulder. “My name is Kakashi Hatake” The man smiled beneath his mask. Naruto didn’t know that, that was one of the rare smiles few people got from the man. Naruto turned to him “I’m Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki.” The jounin walked alongst side him as he headed home.

“So Naruto what are you planning on doing when you get home” “I’m gonna pack my things and move away from here, since no one here cares what happens to me” The Jounin frowned.

“Hey Naruto…I know you don’t know me too well, but what about coming back with me to my village and staying with me. Of course I’ll have to talk to the Hokage, but I’m sure he won’t mind” Naruto couldn’t form a smile because of the days events, however he felt a lot better than he had a few minutes ago. So the boy solemnly nodded.

As if sensing this Kakashi continued “So let’s get your stuff packed and we’ll head out as soon as your done.”

Kakashi couldn’t understand this village's thinking, here was a boy who seemed so innocent and fragile, and they treated him like dirt, no that was an understatement, dirt seemed to be treated better than the young boy in front of him.

This was the beginning of a whole new chapter, in both their lives. Kakashi knew it would take time, but he swore that he would do everything he could to protect and nurture this child.
