“I know this isn’t that interesting but please try to listen! Or at least pretend to!”Lee Squawked at his teammate with agitation in his voice. They were sitting in a booth at the Okanomiyaki shop.
Tenten propped herself up on one am and lazily gazed at lee. She didn’t want to be here she had a date. With a guy from another cell he was leaving for a mission soon and se wanted her date. With a grunt she stood up and stretched. She smiled back at the two boys, “Later.” and walked out on the shop leaving Neji and Lee alone.
Neji had his head cradled in his arms looking up rather annoyed. “So what do you want to do.”
Lee smiled brightly, “Seeing how it happens to be Gai-sensei’s Birthday soon I wanted to throw him a party that would boost his youthful sprit! Hey, are you paying attention to me? …Neji?” Lee waved his hand in front of Neji’s face only to have it shoved away.
“Don’t do that! I’m listening, alright.” Neji sat up slightly as the drinks were set bfore them. “Keep going.”
“Yes so I wanted to know what the theme for the party would be. I wanted your ideas.” After about half a minute with no movement or response lee sighed. No one ever took him serious and it was so discouraging when he wanted to have a conversation. Lee waited another minute before he waved hi fingers in front of neji’s eyes again.
This time a pale hand wrapped around his fingers and squeezed, hard. “I just told you not to do that! What the hell is your problem!” Neji ground out through clenched teeth.
Lee yanked his hand away and cradled it to his chest. “Sorry! It’s just hard to tell if our ignoring me, daydreaming or looking else where since you don’t have an iris or cornea. They say the eyes are he gate wat to the soul but what if the gate is always closed?”
Neji stared blankly at lee for a minute before he raised an eyebrow, “Sorry lee did you say something?”
