Chapter One
New Mission

Naruto screeched with joy at the prospect of a new mission. Team 7 was finally back together after five long years of being incomplete. Naruto was now a Special Junin just like Hatake Kakashi, and an ANBU Squad Captain. Sasuke was a Chuunin, and Sakura was a rookie Junin. Kakashi had called a meeting of Team 7 at noon, which of course, he showed up almost thirty minutes late.

"Kaka-sensei!" Naruto scolded, "You really need to change your habits."

Kakashi scratched his head like usual. "Which ones, Naruto-kun?"

"The ones that make you so goddamned late!" Naruto yelled.

"Narutooooo. . ." Sakura said suddenly, not liking Naruto's choice of words.

"Leave it be, Sakura. For once, I agree with Naruto." Sasuke laughed from his perch.

"Oh, I'm sorry Naruto. I was late because I had to break the news to Gai that he wouldn't get to pound your face in today." Kakashi said, smiling at Naruto's sudden sullen attitude. "That's right. I know all about you picking a fight with him, and then getting smacked back into oblivion. Even with Kyuubi's chakra, you weren't able to make more than one bruise on Gai-san."

Sasuke and Sakura started laughing, Naruto started crying. Gai-sensei said he'd not tell anyone. Asshole!

"Anyways, Godaime gave us, especially, a new mission. Orochomaru has found himself a new precious tool, one that is supposed to be the strongest shinobi of our time. The young man has the chakra almost equal to that of Kyuubi, with two bloodline limits." Kakashi paused at his team's reactions. Naruto just looked happy, Sakura had a very thoughtful look on her adorable face. And Sasuke, well, Sasuke had a look of both hate and curiosity. "That's right, two kekei genkai's. The boy supposedly has the ability of telekinesis, as well as a doujutsu much like Sharingan."

"But, Kaka-sensei!" Sakura-exclaimed. "How is that possible? I've read the books about when the Hyuuga and Uchiha tride to breed a child of both bloodline limits, and the child ended up with no chakra flow what-so-ever."

"Yes, this is true. But, if you knew the whole story, you would know that the child was not only a super-genius among super-geniuses such as Shikamaru. The boy had an IQ that was off the charts. He is now an Advisor in Konoha, and the person I respect more than anything."

"Kakashi, what is our mission?" Sasuke said, calm and collected like normal.

"We are to capture this boy alive, and bring him back to Konoha, where Tsunade will begin to study him. We are not to harm him anyway. Tsunade said that if there is one wound on his body caused by any of us, our pay will then be cut by ninety percent. This is a Super S-Class mission. In all honestly, Sakura, you should not be doing this mission. But, because of your ungodly healing techniques, Godaime has ordered you act as a nurse. You are not to fight unless the three of us are incapacitated. Sorry."

"I can live with that. Is this boy really that strong, Kaka-sensei?"

"I believe he is. Reports have said he slaughtered eighteen Hidden Mist Shinobi because he was bored. He didn't receive a single wound, or seem at all tired after he was done." Kakashi said, his voice icy calm, which seemed to scare Sakura. "And I should mention right now, those shinobi were all high-ranking Jounin."

"How are we suppose to overtake him, then?" Sakura asked, obviously scared.

"Well, from what I hear, Sasuke is faster by far than the young man. So, unless chance emergencies occur, this is our plan. Naruto and I will use Tyjuu Kage Bunshin, surround him. One of those 'clones' will actually be Sasuke. We will rush the child, Sasuke will use a tranqualizer to sedate him, and we will flee, using chakra to multiply our speed. Orochimaru is creating an army, and we are not suited to take them all on. Head out!"
They all poofed in a cloud of smoke, appearing at the Northern Gate into and out of Konoha. The partially ran towards the Country of Earth, where reports said Orochimaru's new hideout resides. They ran, walked, and jogged half of the way before camping out.

After setting up camp, Naruto went hunting for new plants, having a constant mission from Tsunade to look for new types of plants whenever he was outside of Konoha. He didn't expect to find any, but Tsunade would kick his ass if he didn't at least try. The forest was dark, the canopy of leaves blocking out most of the moonlight, so Naruto had to use a torch to light his way. Sakura will probably try to get into bed with Sasuke. He thought, cursing his bad timing. He loved Sakura, and had even convinced her to be his girlfriend for over a year. But the second Sasuke came back, beaten up and half-naked, starving and dehydrated, Naruto was forgotten. He missed the smell of her hair when he went to bed, and woke up. He missed the smile he used to put on her face. He missed Sakura so much, he always felt like crying. It was so hard for him to act like his normal self, so nobody would pity him for being in pain.

Naruto searched for an hour before returning to camp, instantly noticing Sakura's soft moans coming from Sasuke's tent. Kakashi was sitting beside a fire, eating a fish, and cooking another for Naruto.

"Naruto, I'm sorry. . ." Kakashi whispered, obviously noticing Narutos sudden discomfort. "Sakura has always had a special place in her heart for Sasuke, but the way she just stopped caring for you makes me angry at her. She is the smartest person I know when it comes to chakra and jutsu know-how, but socially, she is by far the most stupid."

"It's alright, Kakashi. I expected this when I came back. I'll be okay." Naruto spoke softly, taking the fish from the fire, biting into it. He didn't notice Kakashi's sad gaze upon him as he ate. His concentration was all on ignoring the moans coming from Sasuke's tent.

"I'm off to bed, Naruto. I have summoned by ninja dogs for guard duty tonight, as well set up silent warning traps in a one-hundred meter radius. I left you a chore to do. Clean up the fire pit before you head off to bed. I want to have a nice fire going in the morning, and I wont be able to do that if the fire-pit I dug is cluttered. Good night." And with that, Kakashi disappeared into his grayish-green tent.

Naruto ate his fish in silence, thinking about how obvious his anguish was to Kakashi. I'll have to hide it better from now on. Once he finished his fish, he rested back into the dirt, waiting for Sasuke or Sakura to exit the tent. Sasuke came out first about twenty minutes later, in his shirtsleeves.

"Hey, Naruto." Sasuke began.

"Don't, Sasuke. Just don't okay? He said softly, his voice as calm an as energetic as normal. "I don't hate you, even though I want to. You're my brother. But don't make it worse by pitying me. I've always known both of you loved each other. I just thought that if I was good to her, she would love me back. Guess I was just being stupid again, huh?"

"Naruto, you weren't being stupid. You will always love Sakura. Her and I both know that, so does everyone else except Hinata, who is quite blind for being a Hyuuga." Sasuke said, trying to sooth Naruto's raging emotions. Sasuke had learned how to read people, even when they were experts at hiding their emotions. "She does love you, just not like you love her. She did let you take her virginity, you know. This isn't pity, but I do feel sorry for the way she treated you after I came home. If I were you, I'd kill me right now, or even had done it right away."

"Sasuke, don't be stupid. I heard you both a little while ago. Her mind and body were totally yours. I am nothing but a memory now. You have no idea what it feels like."

Sasuke had nothing to say to that, so he just wished a good night, and headed back into his tent. Naruto got up and cleaned the fire pit like Kakashi had asked of him before going to bed himself.

Naruto had painful dreams of Sakura's naked body writhing beneath him in pleasure, but she moaned out Sasuke's name instead of his own. Naruto slept for only an hour or two, waking up and crying. Not noticing Sakura listening from outside.

"Sakura. . . I miss you." He whispered into the darkness of his tent. "I miss you so much, I hate you."

Sakura sat outside of Naruto's tent, crying silently as he himself cried. How could I so easily forget Naruto? All he did everyday was make me happy. Naruto, I'm so sorry. But I can't love you like I love Sasuke. I just can't. She continued to weep in self-disgust for awhile until heading back into the tent with Sasuke.

Please forgive me, Naruto.

Naruto just lay down on his little futon, waiting for the sun to rise before moving. He would not cry again. Once the sun did come out, Naruto went to the pond a little ways away, and speared four fish with kunai. He had already started the fire before heading over to the pond, and it was nice and ready for cooking when he came back. Kakashi was up and about, packing up his equipment and waiting.

"Naruto, I was planning on doing that."

"I know, Kaka-sensei. I couldn't sleep, so I took the liberty to do it myself. I also found some onion and radish plants by the pond, so, I plucked them up. Give me half an hour, and we'll have a nice fish stew for breakfast."

Naruto grabbed two thick broken-off branches and stabbed them into the ground on the sides of the fire. He used chakra strings to tie both a third stick above the fire to the two poles, and the iron pot to the third branch.

"Dai Mizu no jutsu," Naruto said, forcing the chakra he expelled to force the moisture in the air to collect and gather in the iron pot. He got it to a boil while he chopped the onions and radishes into tiny pieces. He plopped the spices into the pot of almost boiling water, and went about cutting the fish up into bite size parts. After adding those to the boiling spices, he used a very weak Rasengan to mix the boiling water.

"Breakfast is ready." Naruto announced. Sakura and Sasuke were both up now, and Sakura had a half-smile on her lips. Obviously she enjoyed herself last night. Naruto thought to himself. The other three members in his team tried to start conversations, but Naruto just ate in silence. After he finished, he got up to pack his tent up.

Kakashi said suddenly, "Let's head out now. It is still very early, so we should get to Orochimaru's hide out while it's still daylight."

And with that, they poofed out again.
