Perfect changes

Ok, here's the first part... I'm not the best at long chapters, so sorry about the brokeness of this. Any crit is welcome, but if it's just "OMG! she's OOC" or "EWWWW, why him/her" (yes, this is a bisexual fic) or even "Good" don't bother, while I'll appreciate reviews, I'd really like feeadback, not just one liners.

I am taking some serious liberties with Kishimotos characters here. I'm not payed or anything.

Sakura watched Sasuke go through her eyelashes. She would rather die than admit that she’d dodged the attack so she could watch him go. She couldn’t even think of a reason to keep him here. So what if he would become a missing nin? In a moment of amazing clarity she realized that he was searching for his power, and that’s what all shinobi should be doing.
The same moment showed her what she was and what she should be. She was kunoichi, not a sniveling little girl. She would be the best, and she had no doubt that once he was out of that gate, her fickle heart would forget him, and she could become what she needed to be.
Sakura grew up in a single instant; her heart grew cold and survived, in a manner.

Sakura watched the five boys leap into the trees and knew they would fail. Sasuke had a hell of a head start, and those boys had no chance. Sasuke wasn’t number one for no reason. He would’ve been long gone well before they even knew about it. She’d made sure of that. Sleeping on a park bench was a small price to pay for peace of mind.
She was different now, she had always known that shinobi were to be emotionless, but it hadn’t made sense to her until last night. Now she understood and the frame of mind it put her in showed her faults in a new light. Always before she had seen her lack of strength as a permanent thing. Now, however, she knew better. She had a perfect example right here in Konoha, several in fact. But one of them would be a perfect teacher, her team mates were teaching hers. Tsunade would be perfect, strong, intelligent and a medic nin. Chakra control was her specialty, and she was positive she could take it one step further. Plus, Tsunade didn’t know her, so she wouldn’t see the change in her persona. Not beyond the normal grief though.
First step was going to the tower. As she walked Sakura thought how best to ask for tutelage. In the end she decided on the medic nin approach. Tsunade would probably suggest she go through the normal avenues, but then she could just point out that Sasuke was gone, so there was no more team 7 and that Naruto was already under Jiraya. Thinking on how to make herself attractive to Tsunade she decided to show Tsunade her bossy side, then twist it in a way that made it a mirror to the Godaime herself. Silently thanking whatever god had made Naruto tell her that Tsunade was wistful for her happier past, Sakura waltzed into the tower.
“I would like to see the Hokage, please.” The clerk checked her ID, then gestured her on. Sakura began to doubt her plan then, but it was momentary. If Tsunade declined, then there was always Ten Ten or Rock Lee. As much as she would prefer to do it all her way, using chakra and not become a muscle bound freak, she would do it to become strong.
Thankfully, Tsunade hadn’t even suggested the usual channels, she’d looked her over then thrown a scroll at her and simply said “read that, I’m gonna test you on it.” Then gone back to her paperwork. Sighing, Sakura sat down and read about pathways and how to manipulate them.

The next day Naruto was hauled back half dead by Kakashi, and Sakura went to see him, and wept a horrible amount because it was all so unfair, rolling her eyes on the inside the whole time, but it wouldn’t do to have Naruto trying to bring her back to her old self.
Speaking of which, pink was no colour for a Ninja. Swinging by the marketplace she picked up a large bolt of dark blue fabric and another 6 yards of dark green then went home and copied her current dress in those colors, after all, she liked the cut of it. Her mother was obviously rather surprised by her daughter sewing something in dark green, she had always complained about how ugly the damn colour was, but in the end she just shrugged and figured that it was just another part of being a kunoichi. Sakura smiled when her mother walked away, thinking that now she should move out. A gennin could afford to move out if they forwent the luxuries in life.
After she had finished she went and asked Ino to train with her. If she could beat Ino, then she would have progressed, so she decided to train with her at every available chance to mark her level. Ino was good, and as in the chunnin exams, they ended up tied, though this time they didn’t knock each other out, Sakura had things to do.
“Hey, forehead?” Ino was staring at her as she collected her weapons.
“Yes?”
“What’s wrong? Are you mad because Sasuke left? I know I am, but you’ve changed a hell of a lot in just two days.”
Sakura thought about that and decided that she’d need allies and figured answering the question with only a slight twist to the truth would be the best course. “I need to be as strong as I can to hunt Sasuke down, so I’m going to do my best to be the perfect kunoichi.” Ino nodded then walked back home while Sakura headed through the maze of Konoha to her masters’ office to train a little more before dinner.
This was the pattern of Sakura’s new life when she was in Konoha. Naruto left with Jiraya and Ino began to avoid her, so she began training with Ten Ten and Lee. Within 6 months she was a fearsome opponent, combining almost-Tsunade strength, weapon skills learnt from Ten Ten and Rock Lee’s Taijutsu training. The last time she had managed to get a session out of Ino she had demolished the girl and had to heal a nasty concussion, but she was still unhappy, it had taken nearly half an hour to land that punch.
Not to say that all she was good for was fighting. A kunoichi was expected to know the finer and seamier sides of life too. For the finer side of life she had Hinata. Hinata was delicate and refined, and she had made a deal with Sakura, she would train the Sakura in the manners of the highest classes, if Sakura would train her in the ninja arts that weren’t linked to her eyes. That worked out rather well. Once they were chunnin they became a regular pairing to have on missions due to knowing each others minds so well.
And for the seamier side there were two.
Shizune for the criminal element, after being dragged through it by Tsunade she definitely had that down, she could pose as crime lord or a mere runner if she needed to and she knew the names of many of the more important criminals, if not their whereabouts.
And then there was Anko. She taught Sakura seduction.
