I don’t like the title but it was all I could come up with for now. This is the first chapter, hope you like it. This will be a slash story.

She knew she shouldn’t be playing around with this stuff. It was dangerous and she was only Buffy’s little sister. But Dawn wanted to be part of the team. She was a scooby too darn it! Buffy had her slayer-ness-ness, Willow and Tara were all witchy with power and stuff, Giles was the watcher. And Spike well Spike was himself the Big Bad, only chipped. Xander was the glue that kept them together . . .he always knew what to do!

Dawn was the KEY! She should have cool wazzah powers. This line of thinking lead Dawn to being in the back of the Magic Box with a big old dusty book on power and portals. A demon book that should have been in Giles’ locked cabinet.

Turning another page Dawn raised a fine brow at a simple spell she found. All she needed was a clay bowl of cool water, a needle to prick her finger with, a cedar wood fueled fire, dried mint, and human hair of a healthy sexually active male! Reading down the page she frowned at the loopy words she would have to say. It seamed easy enough and Dawn could get all the ingredients. Giving a wicked smile Dawn pulled out a pair of scissors.

“Oh Xander! Where are you?”

Too bad Dawn didn’t read the fine print. ‘Warning power put into spell makes the spell. If to much or to little magic is given into the spell the portal will try to correct itself by absorbing the ingredients. If such happens the portal will collapse, recommend stocking extra supplies.’

It took some doing but Dawn got all her ingredients. Though she would have got them sooner if Xander would have let her cut his hair! Really! She would have did a good job. Dawn smiled as she put the clump of dark brown hair next to her other spell stuff. She had to wait until Xander fell asleep during a research night.

Sitting cross legged on the floor Dawn took a deep breath and hopped for the best. Lighting the fire with Spike’s lighter that she snatched just for this, Dawn piled the mint onto the flame.

“Broduth Whidah Chu Sharmock Hula Buhl!!” The fire burst green, it smelled nice. Spike always said magic stunk. Watching her little pit Dawn smiled as it died out and left just ash. Scooping up the ash Dawn sprinkled it into the water and watched as the water started to swirl.

So far so good. Grabbing the hair Dawn sprinkled it in. The water started to shift color like an oil puddle and Dawn could swear the bowl looked deeper then it should. Taking another deep breath Dawn spoke the next words of the spell. “Necnoth Nessh IwoXanqit Juh! Juh muh Oulla Campig! Yeel chump Fi Zig Rary In!”

The water started to swirl faster and faster. It become clear, a clear light blue. It almost seamed to glow in the dark. Her potion was almost ready. All it needed was the blood of the key! Pulling out her needle Dawn pricked her pointer finger and watched as three drops fell into the mix.

“Sharbeth que Na gah ‘Open for me! In the light! Open the light!’ Guh plea Sha Gwite!” She felt power spread across the room, in the air and on her skin. The pool of water literally leaped out of the bowl and into the air. What happened next . . . Dawn wasn’t prepared for.

Xander glared at his reflection. His hair had never been perfect but NOW it was butchered!!! It was spiky and uneven! It looked like his head was slanted!! And one spot was missing hair altogether!!! He looked like he put his head in the blender and hopped for the best!! Xander wanted to cry!

Looking at Willow who was giggling Xander gave her the best ‘I hate you and all your womanly ways’ glare he could. When that didn’t faze her Xander pouted and started to whine. “How can this happen! Don’t any of you love me enough to not bug my parts! My hair is definitely apart of me!”

Willow just kept giggling with a hand over her mouth. Finally sweet Tara showed pity on Xander. “T-there is a s-simple spell that can g-row the hair back for you.”She said from behind her hair.

Xander gave her a big smile. “Tara you’re the best!!!” Xander gave her a hug which made the poor girl blush tomato red. Tara pulled out her book of shadows and opened it up. She pointed at a spell. “See. This one can grow back your hair easy.”

Tara was about to do the spell when Willow snatched the book from the shy girl. “Let me do it! Let me do it! Let me do it! I can do it!”

Without waiting for either Xander or Tara to say anything Willow started to chant. “Lengthier Elongate Gotha Haida!”

Xander fell to the ground as a burst of light shot at his face. He groaned as a headache started and his scalp itched. Tara was by Xander side a worried look on her face. “Are y-you ok?”

Willow knelt down next to them. “What’s wrong? I said the spell right didn’t I?”

Tara patted Willow’s back. “Y-you said I-it right honey . . .you just didn’t control the length. We w-won’t know h-how long his hair will be t-ill the spell is d-done. P-poor Xander’s hair might t-touch the floor soon!” Said Tara as she patted the young man on the knee.

Xander groaned. He was about to tell Willow she and Dawn owed him a lot of ice cream, donuts, and soda pop when a loud noise sounded from the back of the room. Jumping up Xander pushed his now long hair out of his face as he busted into the storage room. He gasped as he got in. Floating in the air was a big . . . hole for lack of a better word.

Running in Xander grabbed Dawn and pulled her away from it. That seamed to be the wrong thing to do because a powerful wind started to suck in anything that wasn’t nailed down. Pushing Dawn towards Willow and Tara who were hanging onto the door jam Xander tried reaching for it himself.

Only his body didn’t seam to be co-operating. His feet were not on the ground! Xander felt odd . . .sleepy. Maybe he could lay down later. Everything seamed to be slowing down . . . Xander barely noticed the worried looks turned on him as his heavy eyes closed.

The girls gasped as one as Xander just seamed to freeze mid-step . . . Three inches above the ground!!!! They watched as black marks seamed to bleed up from his hands and wrists. They were about to reach for him when like a shot from an arrow he lunched into the portal. The moment Xander’s limp body entered the portal it closed. Papers settled and the wind stopped. The room was a mess, like a big two year old had a tantrum in it.

Moments later Buffy, Giles, and Spike came busting into the door. Weapons in hand. “What the hell happened here!!” Said Giles as he looked at his storage room that was in shambles.

“I’msorry! I’msorry! I’msorry! I’msorry! I’msorry!” Said Dawn as she looked wildly around the room. All the stuff even the book was gone!

“No, Sasuke, I’m telling you I saw Kakashi sensei and Iruka sensei by the noodle shop! They were lip locking like there was no tomorrow!!” Said Naruto as he jumped to the next tree limb.

Sasuke glared at Naruto as he jumped ahead of him and did a flip for good measure. “And I would care why dode?”

Naruto glared back. “Cause bastard! They both have been acting funny!! And, and, its just weird! Kakashi sensei had a doopy look on his face all day yesterday! And he wasn’t nose deep in his book! And . . .And Iruka sensei was dancing yesterday when I visited him at his home!”

Sasuke rolled his eyes. “How many time have I told you to knock before barging into a home. Look! We have a mission to complete! You can bore me later with your worries!! After sex.” Speeding up Sasuke left Naruto behind. They needed to deliver a scroll back home.

“Come on!” Sasuke was already ahead of Naruto be several tree’s.

Naruto pouted. “But Sasuke . . . It’s weird! And who said your getting any at all! Jerk!” Running behind Sasuke the orange clad boy almost crashed into the dark boy who had stopped suddenly.

“What? Sasuke? I thought you wanted us to hurry!”

The dark haired boy didn’t answer as he just continued to look up into the sky. Following his grumpy boyfriend’s line of sight Naruto gasped. A hole had formed high in the sky.

“Koi am I seeing what I think I’m seeing?”

Both genin watch unbelieving as a body fell out of the hole in the sky toward the ground ahead of them. Without thinking the two ninja bolted toward where the body would fall. Jumping at the same time they caught the body in their arms together and landed softly with the help of chakra, the unknown person cradled in their hold.

“A boy? How did he come out of the sky?” Asked a wide eyed Naruto.

“Not that you could really tell. Not with all this long hair.” Scoffed Sasuke as he picked up a lock of thick dark hair. This boy looked almost as girly as Haku.

A minute later both ninja blinked as a clay bowl shattered a few feet from them. Then a book. A big old book written in a language they did not know. Picking up the book Naruto frowned.

“Was it some sort of jutsu? What do we do with him? And this?” Naruto asked as he looked over the young man that looked no older then him and the large book bigger then his torso.

“I don’t know . . . The boy he has energy. It could be one. Here.” Sasuke handed the scroll to Naruto as he picked up the oddly dressed boy and put him on his back.

“We need to get home.” No more was said as they made there way back to the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Book and boy with them.
