By Kinya Kai

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Disclaimer:

I do not own any Naruto fanfiction, but I am borrowing the characters to use in my story. Thus so far, I cannot technically steal what is not rightfully mines.

Author's Note:

Good day to my fellow readers and writers, my name is Kinya...

How are you? Yes, I'm probably the first writer to actually be more concern about her readers than anything. Just like in my greeting above, the name is Kinya. However, that is not my real name...I wish though (it's Elizabeth...grrrr). So today I am bring you a story, hopefully it looks interesting enough for many to read. I'm not the best writer, but I do like to make my story as realistic and personal as much as I can. For I am a realist and I like to see things outside the world of black and white. Now...let's begin the story shall we...I hope it you enjoy it. Let me know...send me reviews and even give me some of your opinions. That would be great for this is my first time writing for this particular anime. So long and now for the feature presentation...

P.S. I technically don't speak like that...but I found it really funny when I was writing it.

Summary: (Full)

Sometimes...death isn't meant to be excusable, especially when you were the one who committed it. As the rain falls from the clouds of hatred and pain, it tries to rinse away the blood that stained innocent hands. Naruto will never forget the day he'd murdered his mother...even if everyone kept telling him it wasn't his fault. Between the lines of truth and lies, only one person could see Naruto as himself and not a monster, which is the new kid, Gaara. Through trials and tribulation, both of them finally come to realize that their desire for forgiveness might be the strongs feeling towards new love. Can they heal each other, or would each of their past tamper with future. When life gives you lemons...use them. Because even sins can always be forgiven...

Warning:

Let's see...it's probably going to be graphic...tons of language and minor sexual activities. Don't worry...nothing too graphic for innocent eyes. Also...this is a YAOI...don't read it if any form of homosexual activities tend to disgust you. No need for anyone to be all religious about homosexuality being an abomination, okay. Thanks...just wanted to let you know.

Pairing:

Naruto and Gaara

(I find them two to be so interesting, how they share similarities of loneliness. That's why they would make such a beautiful couple...of course with the additional pairing of Sasuke and Naruto.)

Prologue

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Men at some time are masters of their fates: The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves that we are underlings."

Quote from "Julius Caesar": William Shakespear

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pure and sweet, she was glowing brightly, her aura finally possessed the one thing she wished for...light. Delirious, she gazed up into the blackness of the night as her arms spread apart. As she twirled about, her white gown whirled along with her as blood was seen underneath. It seeped expeditiously from the deep wound implanted in her stomach, down as it soaked her underwear. In her mind, all sadistic thoughts disappeared, only to be purified and touched by Christ. The voices she used to hear every night from the devil was gone now, only the ringing of heaven's bells graced her innocent ears. She was ready, to receive her freedom, to prove how religious she has been to the lord. To abandon her 'Earthly' body and lift her soul to the pearly white gates. Her paced slowed, her mind becoming fuzzed as she tripped and fell. Laughing hysterically, she saw her vision becoming disoriented. It was time, the ringing only gotten louder.

There next to dying form was the one she called 'her angel, the messenger of death', her son Naruto. While clouded sapphire eyes looked into his, she notice the fear that was easily rose to the surface. How simple-minded he was, she thought releasing another blissful laugh. He was plagued by the thoughts of Satan, letting him rule his life like it did to her. Weakly, she outreached for him, to bless his soul like her was. If she was able to touch him, then the darkness that ate away as his heart would dissolve. He'll be free just like her. Naruto noticed her outreached hand, but didn't move to it. He couldn't...his body suddenly became immoblized.

"Naruto, " She'd barely whispered, her lids becoming heavy, time drew near. Her lips curled into a beautiful smile, only she was able to give to him. "It's alright...you have done the right thing. You were send from heaven to do his work, to purified my soul." This time her voice weeped reassurance, his eyes widen more.

Yet, Naruto knew...he knew what she babbled about was false. He killed his mother and no matter how many times he'll wash his hands, her blood will always remain. Trembling, he felt shock took over him. He needed to call for help, get her to the hospital. Maybe if he was able to save her, he could send her away. Get her professional help who specialized in mental illness. He wasn't able to take care of her anymore, because of her he was afraid of doing something wrong. If it wasn't for that religious cult she joined, she wouldn't be like this. She wouldn't be determine to 'cleanse' everything, including her own. Not believing that every little thing was possessed by a demonic creature.

His pain even went deeper, just thinking about what he and his sister had to indure every night because of his mother's craziness. She was psychotic and he knew she knew that she was sick. His mind screamed, urging him to call for help. He couldn't, he felt his body shook violently as he watched the blood now cover the front yard grass. Why, he wanted to scream out loud. Why didn't he just run away when she begged him? Fight her if he had to just to snap her back into the world of reality. Take her away from her 'God' and return things back to normal. Ever since that day...since she was...

"Oh my god! Naruto, what did you do? Mother, mother answer me!" A voice shooked the masses, literally causing houses around the neighborhood to turn on their lights and come see what was going on. "Help! Someone please call the ambulance!" She shrieked, panicking more by the minute. Azure eyes looked down next to his mother and see his sister kneeling next to the woman. Tears poured out of her eyes, her fingers pressed firmly against the wound. Why was she trying to save her? She wanted to die...even if he knew that this wasn't right.

Their mother looked away from Naruto and turned to her eldest child. Her lips widen more as she felt her eyes closed. It was time, her heart beated slower as she whispered her final words before dying. "D-don't...let me die. Let me finally see the face of Christ. Naruto done nothing wrong...I told him to do it. I told him to kill me because it was intented." She coughed, choking on the uprising blood that flew out of her mouth. Some slid down her lip as she forced herself to open her eyes once more. Getting her last look at Sakura. "I love you..." She'd mouthed and took her last breath.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He's a stranger to some
And a vision to none
He can never get enough,
Get enough of the one

"Naruto...please open your door! You can't stay in there forever...you just can't!" Sakura kept hitting against the wooden door harder, trying to pry her brother out. It's been three months, since the death of her mother and the trials Naruto had to deal with.

It was hard on them, everyone in the town knew what happened. The names they gave them, especially Naruto who became more sheltered than anything. Sakura felt her heart ache everytime she would hear the people, their words hurt so much.

"Demon!"

"Murderer!"

"I hope you burn in hell!"

And it kept getting worst and worst till the point neither of them were safe. From getting threatful messages from people, to rocks being thrown through their window, they had to get security until she had enough money to move them. They didn't have any relatives close in the area and those who were related to them cast them away. All because of what Naruto had done, they fear that he would instantly pick up a knife and kill them too. She knew, deep within her heart that it wasn't his fault, he done nothing wrong. He was forced into a situation he couldn't escape from, but everyone wouldn't believe the story.

Luckily the police believe her and he got away with it, but have to serve seven years of professional counseling. They say that when someone assist someone in that type of 'suicide', it would become hard on them to cope with the lost. It was true, Naruto wasn't one to be very apathetic without comfort, but as time past he never seeked it from her. He would only come home from school, beaten and bruised, eat dinner alone, and retreat to his room. Often when she passed by his door, she could hear him mumbling the 'Holy Mary' ritual. It caused her nothing but pain to know that even if God released him from his sins...he will always see her blood upon his hands...

Through thick headphones propped upon his head, he could still hear the intense pounding coming from his door. Tedious azure eyes never looked up, to acknowledge the fact that he knew why she continue to bother him. Couldn't he suffer in peace? Wasn't it hard enough that everyone in his town hated him, chastised him for a sin he was forced to commit? He'd guessed it wasn't from the beatens he receive everyday from school. The students calling him twisted names, even the teachers joined in with the fun. All he does was ignore them, taking in their name calling, and continue on with his day.

Then there was those who didn't call him anything, moved away in fear and mumbled. He was tired of hearing it, but he didn't have a choice. It was seen, he couldn't hide it. Letting out an anguish sigh, he closed his eyes and prepared himself to do his daily ritual. Moving himself off his bed, he shuffled along the floor and headed toward his corner. There was a tiny box with a cross drawn on top. He easied himself onto the floor, pressed his back against the cool wall. Picking up the box, he took the top off and pulled out a set of crystal rosary beads that belonged to her mother. He entwined them between his fingers, mumbling the incarnation of the "Holy Mary".

For a fortune he'd quit
But it's hard to admit
How it ends and begins
On his face is a map of the world
(A map of the world)
On his face is a map of the world
(A map of the world)
From yesterday, it's coming!
From yesterday, the fear!
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to read the message here

Sakura finally stopped, hearing him saying his prayers. Placing her hand against the door, she lowered her head. "Naruto," She said, feeling tears form in her eyes. She wished he would just open up to her, just like he use to do. She didn't want him to be alone, because solitude would only drive him mad. "You can't keep blaming yourself for her death. She was sick, you couldn't do anything about it. You were forced, you couldn't just run away.

It's time to talk about what really happened," She tried to reason with him, but it didn't work. He continued to pray, drowning her out once again.

Naruto paused for a second, he heard what she told him. She wanted him to talk to her, but what was there to talk about? He knew, not matter how thoughtful and worried she was, he knew deep down she hated him. He took her only mother's life, no act like that can be forgivable. "Injustice action will never vanish," he mumbled, eyes half-lidded. "Even if you wanted to forget everything yourself..."

On a mountain he sits, not of gold but of shit
through the blood he can learn, see the life that it turn
From council of one
He'll decide when he's done with the innocent

On his face is a map of the world
(A map of the world)
On his face is a map of the world
(A map of the world)

From yesterday, it's coming!
From yesterday, the fear!
From yesterday, it calls him
But he doesn't want to read the message here
But he doesn't want to read the message here
But he doesn't want to read the message here
