Memories of the Future
A/N: hello again!! XD i had to get this sucker written out, and since i actually know how it's going to end, i think i can finish it within a reasonable time limit. anyway, i haven't forgotten any of my other stories, honestly, and i'm even about to start the next real chapter of "Here's to the Fox." so, if you just want to read this while you wait, i'm fine with that. ^.~
the rating and warnings will change as the story progresses, and even though it says "Death" in there, that doesn't necessarily mean its true. you just have to read to find out. also, i'm not in an evil mood today, so i will upload the prologue AND the first chapter.

Memories of the Future: Prologue

“Naruto, wait up!”
The enemy is before him.
“Guard them, surround the perimeter!”
His children are behind him, in the village, safe.
“You will die, demon vessel!”
His husband is beside him, a calm yet angry presence that seeks to protect him.
“Tsunade, what do we do about Naruto?”
The Rasengan is swirling in his hand, the Chidori chirping incessantly beside him.
“Just leave him to it. We have to make sure these other assholes stay away from the village.”
The enemy charges, and Sasuke leaps from his side.
“Get ready, dobe!”
Naruto sees a bright light in the sky, and something slams into his body, sending a blinding and paralyzing pain into his mind.
“Naruto!”
‘I need your help.’
“You will die.”
Something rips into his gut, and Naruto can feel warm blood flowing down his torso.
“Gods above, Tsunade! Naruto needs help!”
‘Come with me.’
“No, dobe! Don’t you dare leave me, leave us! What the hell is wrong? Why isn’t Kyuubi healing him?”
He looks into Sasuke’s crying eyes, a sight thought to be impossible by some, and he smiles. Reaching out to his husband, his bloody palm touches a pale cheek, and Naruto dies.
‘You’ll be fine. I promise, kit.’
