My 'One-Shot' At Crashing Parchment
Hitori No Pareedo Ga Ugokidasuu

-----
Gaara pulled out a scroll from his Kazekage desk, he didn't know why he felt in the mood to write. Maybe it was because he had nothing else to do today, (Temari had relieved him of all his duties on account of him having an 'Episode' with one of the new Chuunin.) Maybe it was because he actually missed a certain someone.

Still unsure of why he was being pulled in this direction he lifted the pen Kankurou had graciously given him when he had become the Kazekage and dipped it in the small jar of ink just off to the right of him on the desk.

'Now where to start?' His cryptic thoughts had been eating at him all day while he paced in and out of every room in his house, unable to sit still while everyone else was busy being productive. Blinking several times he found the sentence that would start his Letter.

'Letter? No, this isn't a letter. Hush yourself Shukaku, I don't need you interfering. You are the cause of me being stuck in this heated room in the first place.' Then what was it that Gaara was about to start writing on the parchment? He pulled a paper from one of the drawers and got a different, much older already instilled ink pen out to make a list of what this writing could be-to calm himself of course.

He wrote the word 'Letter.' Then he almost immediately crossed it out.

'So much for that theory, I will not be writing 'Him' a letter for as long as I live.'

He wrote down the word 'Poem'

'What! Poem, me a poem?' He could hear the Tanuki snickering at him inside his own head. What was going on here? Why did he feel the urge to do such romantic things for that certain someone?

Deciding that one word at a time was going to be even more difficult, he settled for writing every word that came to his head first and then murderously crossing them out as he re-read them all.

'Thank you note, Request for presence, Apology Letter, Hate Mail, Anonymous Love note, Poem, ...Love...Letter'

He crossed every single one out and when he came to the last one he tapped his pen twice, three, four times. He was incapable of such a thing, such a thing as feeling something so strongly towards another other than himself-let alone one with such eyes. He circled the last two words and set down his pen. He sighed heavily, he seemed to be doing that a lot lately.

'You're a bother Shukaku. It's all your fault I can't sleep at night, giving me all that time to think about that most unpleasant week. It's been a month and I remember it as if it had happened this morning.'

Frustrated with himself his slammed his fist down on the desk and growled. He briefly remembered the last time he saw his heart's thief...

[FlashBack:]

The South Gate to Sunagakure was built thicker than the gates of Konoha and was much heavier. Gaara stood on the receiving end waiting for his guests to arrive. He had a hunch that they would be earlier than expected and when asked what he was doing he merely looked from his ANBU leader back to the gate in front of him. Less than to twenty minutes later, to the ANBU surprise they got word from one of the Desert posts that 'ONE' Leaf Ninja were heading their way, and fast. Gaara glared at the gate and tried not to seem to upset that he'd had to call Konoha for help. He especially was in no hurry to see one Ninja who had been chosen along with his entire team to be the one to help.

'Just one? Where are the other two?'

The gate open up slowly with a dark creek, as if no one had entered or left the village of the Sand in ages. Gaara stood waiting, hands as still as sand at night. His eyes were the only thing moving as he searched the outsides of the gate, waiting for that YOUTHFUL SPIRIT to run in at anytime, he dreaded it. His memories flashed back and forth from a hospitals to a graveyard of bones and flying sand. He thought for too long that he might have feelings for the now Chuunin Green Beast, but he pushed all that aside when he last saw him over 4 years ago.

Gaara shook his head as if shaking his now lengthy hair out of his eyes. Then in a big cloud of dust he saw a glint of green, his heart shot from his chest to his throat and it held tightly not wanting to be swallowed again by the darkness. Gaara's ever so still body began shaking just enough so that no one but he and Shukaku knew.

Then dust swept passed his and rattled his black coat. For once he wasn't wearing his Kazekage robe, and he was grateful he didn't have to slug that thing around today, it was viciously hot out. The dust carried grains of sand and rough wind as it passed the red haired medium and his ANBU accomplice. Settling just enough for the Kazekage to see, a half smile plagued his darkened face.

"GAARA-SAMA! It has been too long and now I Rock Lee am glad to see your Youthful expression as I am welcomed into your home village!" Lee smiled brightly with his eyes closed and his palm next to his face in an attempt to say hello.

Gaara had nothing besides a blank look on his face as he felt Shukaku shrieking with laughter. 'Please, kid-' He laughed a bit harder. 'Tell me this isn't the one you love.' Shukaku had his girly voice down pat just to annoy Gaara even more. Gaara growled and pretended to roll his eyes in the back of his head and smack the Sand Demon. Shukaku only stopped laughing to hear the conversation.

"Where are the others?" Gaara said completely ignore the fact the Lee had addressed him and was waiting for a 'Hello'- in the least from his long time associate. Lee didn't seem to lose his enthusiasm as he had gotten use to people overlooking his super energy.

Lee turned around and looked behind him scratching the back of his head. "Heh, I lost track of them i guess. No wonder why they did not mind my singing. They must be about a day or so behind me." He turned around and smiled at Gaara. "That will give us some time to catch! I have a lot to tell you!"

Gaara jerked and took a half step back. 'Catch up?' He replayed the words over and over and over. Who did Lee think he was, Gaara didn't play 'Catch up' This was going to be a very long week, Gaara decided as he turned around and began walking towards the Kazekage residence.

"Shouldn't you rest?" There, Gaara would get him to sleep while he figured a way to avoid having to deal with the annoy green tree all week.

"Me, rest?!?" Lee ran around to the front of Gaara and slid to a stopped poking his chest with his thumb. "I rested before I left Konoha! I will rest again when the need arises but at the present moment I am more interested in seeing how you are holding up!"

"Your trip from Konoha to Suna was three days, at the least and you made it in two days. Are you saying you haven't rested at all since you left?" Gaara tilted his head and blinked to try and not frown at the nut case in front of him. Lee only smiled and nodded at the question.

'What the hell is wrong with this guy?' Gaara thought as he could feel his eye twitching.

"I get carried away when i am excited about a mission."

"Excited?" Gaara repeated, confused.

"I have never been to Sunagakure before. I had to see for myself first hand what it is like to be a Sand Shinobi. So I ran for two whole days in the blistering heat to get here! It was either make it here in two days or run around the village perimeter 300 times in one hour!" Lee seemed overly proud of himself and kept smiling as he threw Gaara a thumbs up.

The overseer of Suna walked passed Lee and down the dirt road leading to his house. If he had to hear anymore of this is he was going to fall over and die. He was exhausted by just listening to the story. He felt bad for Lee's teammates who had been subjected to his behavior for the time they graduated the academy up until now. Even as Chuunin-except for Neji who had recently reached the Jounin level- they were still assigned to missions together-most of the time.

[End FlashBack]

Gaara shook at the thought of Lee. That was one Chuunin Gaara would never ever understand, no matter how many times they ran into one another. Pulling his scroll in front of him he lifted his most treasured pen and began to write down everything that seem to be bothering him as of late.

-----
So what is a Kazekage supposed to say when he meets someone he should never have feelings for?
He usually wouldn't say anything but this certain someone ran off before he could put anything out there.
This is mushy, too mushy for my taste, yet I don't know why I'm still penning this delicate parchment that I have worries about sending to you.
How can I get this right?
I practiced trying to forget you, but then found myself trying to imagine what you might say if you came back to Suna this very minute.
I'm glad you cant hear the doubt that has built up in my mind.
You want you independence, I'm sure you don't want to be tied down to an impure soul like mine.

Maybe that is why I won't really be sending this Letter/Poem out to you.

Everything seems to revolve around you lately.
I want to give you my full attention even though it has been a month since I was graced with your eye contact.
It seems that I can no longer stay occupied with work as I envision you sitting on my desk with a wide smile and mysterious eyes.
Why have you not come back to me?
What could have you so busy that you do not think of me even when you sleep?
I don't know this to be true but I for some reason believe that this is how things work.
Who in their right mind would take time out of their day to think about Sabaku No Gaara?
Surely not someone as great and pure as you.
------

Gaara set the pen down for a second when he remembered again just how bad that long week with Cell number 10 had been. Lee had been a handful for him but the rest of the team had been no easier to deal with especially since Gaara had decided that they would stay with him instead of sleeping in the village where rooms had been already set up for them.

[FlashBack-Time skip to the day after Lee arrived]

Gaara was sitting in the Kazekage conference room with Lee, Neji and Ten-Ten. They were discussing the papers that Tsunade had sent over regarding the mission. He had been in his office when the other two had arrived and Lee being absolutely nosey had taken them to Gaara's office and tossed them inside excitedly to meet the Kazekage. Gaara eventually forced them out into a bigger room and motioned for them all to take a seat. Lee took no time jumping into he seat next to Gaara smiling when the Sand Ninja glared at him for being so close.

"Tsunade-sama has informed us that your ANBU are to be sent away for a week of outside training and you needed replacements." Neji began, breaking the abnormal silence in the room. "What I don't understand is why you called Leaf Ninja to aid you. Aren't your own Shinobi capable of protecting you-"

"And on that matter, don't you have some kind of ultimate defense?" Ten-Ten interrupted and pushed her thought forward.

"I've already explained to Tsunade-sama why I requested your presence. It is your mission to protect me and I see no need in explaining myself to her subordinates." Gaara growled at having been mentally smacked twice by weaker Ninja.

"There is no need to be cross Gaara-sama, we merely wanted to know the reason so we could better understand the situation. As Ninja we are often given little detail on missions and find ourselves confused even though we will fulfill our duties as Shinobi. Ten-Ten and I were just curious, I'm sure she and I didn't mean to come off as nosey or rude." Neji blinked and stared hard at Gaara who sighed and crossed his arms.

"Very well." Gaara began, "As of late the Tanuki has been acting rather weird. He failed to protect me on my last mission and for the first time in six years I returned to Suna injured. It is widely known when ANBU leave for outside training which can bring a threat to my village. If an enemy decides to strike while my ANBU are away I cannot bravely say that I will be able to protect the civilians. Yes, I have Chuunin, Jounin and even Genin capable of helping but a bigger threat could mean the loss of all my men and village. My decision was based on the fact that I promised to take care of my village and as Kazekage I want to make sure that I am well enough to do so. Does that clear up some lose ends?"

Neji crossed his arms as well. He had other questions but thought that the Kazekage would once again lash out with him for probing further. He nodded in answering Gaara question and looked over at Lee who was leaning on the table on his elbows staring strangely at Gaara. He glared and Gaara followed his eyes over to Lee, almost jumping out of his chair in utter shock.

'Gees what's wrong with him?'

'Gaara-sama! How did you become so beautiful? How are those eyes of yours so big and green? Your skin is so creamy and soft. I will touch it!' Lee thought to himself until a voice startled him and made him fall to the floor.

"Lee, we're going." Neji said standing. Gaara looked at him and remained in his chair. He noted that Neji looked a more angry than usual and the tone in his voice called for something more than just anger maybe even jealousy.

'Does Neji like Lee?' Gaara played with the sentence and threw it in the trash next to his desk like he did so many other senseless ideas that had popped in his head in the last hour they'd been in that infernal room. 'No, he can't be jealous and of me.' Gaara almost choked on a laugh. What a day his mind had been having.

"WHAAAAT! We cannot leave yet!" Lee stood up at attention. "Somehow I ended up sleeping yesterday and never got a chance to reminisce with Gaara!" Lee grabbed Neji's leg in an effort for the Jounin to let him stay awhile.

"We're going!" He shook Lee off his leg. "The Kazekage is busy and I'm sure he has other things to do than babysit you."

Lee was about to protest once again when he heard the voice of his 'Savior'

"Actually-" Gaara started, and Neji looked over at him with confusion. "I'm sure it was quite obvious that I wasn't doing anything important in my office, otherwise the door would have been locked. I insist you all join me for lunch."

Lee looked at Neji and smiled widely getting off the floor to stand at Gaara's side. Gaara found the look on the Hyuuga's face to be somewhat amusing and if he wanted Lee then Gaara was going to make him work for it just because he had nothing better to do. Neji narrowed his eyes as Gaara stepped closer to Lee and forced a fake smile at the Chuunin.

'This is going to be fun.' Shukaku said. Had he a mouth venom would have fallen from it to the floor.

[End FlashBack]

Gaara pushed his hair from his eyes. He'd been so busy being the Kazekage that he hadn't had anytime to get it cut and now it was just above his eyes and in the back it was reaching for his shoulders. He often pulled it back in a low ponytail when he was working hard and it would matt to his sweating neck. He picked up his keepsake pen and began to finish his hard work on his Letter/Poem.

-----
What is it that I really wanted from you?
I have heard no word from you since you left the gates to my village on the end of the long and confusing week.
I assumed that you ending your mission was the last I would ever hear from you, or think about you.
It seems as of late I have convinced myself otherwise.
You should be the one to save me from myself and my frightful ways.
You run around without a care while I am stuck in my office remembering the lonely gaze in your eyes.
Could I maybe be the one to fill such an emptiness with my own version of what ever might come to be for a Kazekage and his forbidden love?

I think I am losing my mind, again and you are the first to know, that's why I will never send this Letter/Poem to you.

I accepted you for everything you were.
I don't see why it can't be the same way for you.
Can't you accept that I have my ways and that I may be different but I am too still 'Human'?
I have a growing fear and you're not helping me whenever I think back on those times when you were here with me.
What am I to do in this village of the Sand when no one treated me in 18 years like you attempted to do in one week?
How am I suppose to just forget the bit of kindness you showed an outcast?
Writing you sure doesn't seem to calm my nerves, that's for sure, but then again thinking about you doesn't do the trick either.
-----

Once again Gaara dropped his pen and it rolled to the edge, stopping before it met the dusty carpet of the underside of his amber colored desk. These memories were beginning to become more frequent and he was having trouble trying to focus on the task at hand.

[FlashBack]

Over lunch it was 'Kazekage-sama' this and 'Kazekage-sama' that, Gaara wondered when Lee had begun calling him that, had he missed something? They had tea after they ate and showed them to a room where they could settle and talk more comfortably, against Neji's wishes. He'd wanted to go to his inn room and get some rest before the busy week ahead of them, but of course Lee protested and Gaara insisted they stay awhile longer.

"What is he thinking?" Neji muttered low to himself and sat on a chair nearest to the door. He wasn't planning on staying any longer than his nerves would let him. He looked over at Lee who sat dangerously close to Gaara, running off at the mouth about missions, injuries, late night training and whatever else he thought would make Gaara notice how much stronger he'd gotten.

(A:N I'm also going to be telling Neji and Ten-Ten and Lee's thoughts which I shouldn't be doing since this is Gaara's flashback and he shouldn't know what Neji and the others are thinking but its for your benefit so don't get too made at me okay.)

'What's he doing with 'Him' anyway? What does he see in 'Him'? I'm a much better guy then 'He' is. I just don't get it, why would he even be interested in him after so long? We haven't seen him in six years now, wouldn't he just notice me, who is clearly the better candidate?' Neji moved uncomfortably in his chair and Ten-Ten looked over at him.

"Hmm, Neji are you okay? You've been acting strange all day." She felt a worried look fall over her face and she hoped he would be okay while she secretly wished he would just show her some interest like Lee was doing for Gaara right in front of them.

"I'm fine." He said without so much as a glance towards her. "I just need some rest." He exhaled heavily and looked up at Gaara who was ignoring Lee and staring at him. Gaara's gaze was some what unsettling and Neji quickly looked away feeling a bit of a blush settle in his cheeks.

'Where did that come from?' He mentally slapped himself for the embarrassment. 'He's the Kazekage you fool!'

Without saying anything aloud Gaara made a mental note that Neji blushed easily and this was going to make the game a bit more fun. His thoughts were rudely interrupted when there was a knock at his door. Lee stopped his mile a minute conversation to look towards the hall.

"If you will excuse me for just a second." Gaara stood and exited the room, brushing swiftly passed Neji, very closely which caught the eye of one Rock Lee. His eyes fell low and he looked at Neji with anger.

'He's mine! I Will Not Lose To Hyuuga Again!' Lee breathed loudly and spoke to himself trying to calm down. Neji looked at him and raised and eyebrow at having a very good idea what Lee was so ticked off about.

'He doesn't think I-' Neji tossed words back and forth in his head, '-I'm interested in the Sabaku does he?' He closed his eyes for a brief second hoping Lee had lightened up but when he opened his eyes Lee was standing right in front of him, so he played cool.

"What?" Neji spat the word out so quickly Lee barely heard it with all the voices screaming in his head to pound the Hyuuga in front of him. Lee balled his fists and Neji swore he saw fire in the back of his eyes.

"You had better not even think about it Neji. He is mine, I saw him first and I will not lose him to your charming good looks and super hip attitude!" Lee pointed his finger in Neji's face and poked him right in-between the eyes.

Neji only closed his eyes and shrugged.

--

Gaara opened his front door and his ANBU leader stood in front of him.

"Gaara-sama!" The Ninja behind the gray mask with a red slash over the left eye saluted and then stood firmly at attention. "I had orders to see you before the group departed out sir." He let his stance loosen as Gaara leaned again the door frame.

"Its a long journey to Kumogakure the village hidden in the clouds. Its very very far for even most ANBU to set off for and return safely."

"Yes, i know."

"I wanted you here to make sure this is what you wanted, Kinjiru."

"It is sir."

"You are my best ANBU and you have gone through this training several times already. You have been with me since I became Kazekage and I trust you with my life...but-" Gaara stopped for a second and got serious. "-you lost a lot when Suna almost fell, your entire family was taken from you and you have been on reserve for quite some time now. I want to know if this is truly what you want." Gaara didn't looked concerned as he wore his blank mask as usual but the ANBU could hear the worry in his unbalanced voice.

"My duty is to my village and to my Kazekage, I will not let a little thing like death get in my way of achieving something I have been working for my entire life." The ANBU bowed and disappeared when Gaara nodded.

Back in the room once again Gaara took his seat to see Lee and Neji in the middle of a death stare. He looked over at Ten-Ten and she shrugged looking just as pitiful, as if she had just walked in as well.

"Don't ask." She said sighing heavily and then yawning.

"You both must be tired." Gaara said with a nasty smile as he looked over at Neji. "Trying to catch Lee must have been some hard work. Please, go upstairs and get some rest."

Neji almost fell out of his chair trying to replay to sentence in his head. "That won't be necessary Gaara-sama. We'll stay at the inn with the other Shinobi." He put his hand on the back of his neck and forced a smile while closing his arms.

"Don't argue with me Hyuuga. I've already had countless people in my house preparing rooms for you. You will oblige me and use them to your liking, this is not up for discussion and I will not take no for answer." Gaara stood and walked to the hall. "I must meet with Temari for business, I will expect you to find things in my house and use them as I would." He paused and looked at Lee who had the biggest tears in his eyes. "Lee, would you like to join me?"

The Chuunin jumped up with his hands in the air, doing some lame cheerleader routine at having beat Neji for the third time that day. "YOSH! HAI Kazekage-sama! I will Accompany You Anywhere You Wish!" Lee smirked at Neji as he walked by the Jounin who seemed very pissed off as the heat from his anger washed over his pale face.

Gaara couldn't see Neji's face but he could feel the chakra flaring all over the room and decided he would smirk too. This braved to be one of the best days he'd had in a very long time and it was going to get better.

[End FlashBack]

Gaara sighed again as he looked over at the pen and tapped the desk to see it fall off the side so his sand could save it before it hit the ground and rolled into darkness. He grabbed the pen and put it on the paper without knowing what to write.

'Have we got writer's block, little love tori?' Shukaku was being to get on his nerves with all the little names he was using.

'Hush you, you're interrupting my writing!''

'Am I interrupting you writing our are those thought about-'

'QUIET! Don't you dare say his name with your filthy mouth!'' Oh god what was the world coming to? He was arguing with his own Demon about this certain someone and it wasn't even counted as verbal.

He began writing what was now in his mind, other than the huge Tanuki resided in the dark crevices of his 'Not Okay' body and head. He growled at the thought of sharing himself.

-----
Wonder what's wrong with me?
I wonder the same thing all the time as this damn Demon eats away all my good thoughts, sometimes eating away at my memory of you.
Is my Demon the source of your terror?
The terror that keeps you hidden just like your precious village.
Won't you come back and share a bed with me in the middle of the night.
Don't let me sleep alone.
I'm Scared, I'm Lost, I'm Sick, I'm Confused, I'm Broken, I'm Hurt.
I may be different but I'm me.
I probably know that that's why this will not work out but here i am still trying.
How funny is that?

Not funny enough for me to say or even write, that's why I won't be sending you this Letter/Poem.

Has someone else stolen you heart in the Village hidden in the Leaves?
Is that why you have not come back to me yet, or did I simply scare you away with my grief stricken heart and appearance.
I swore i'd never give into this type of life.
Praying to Kami everyday that I might have the one I want to be with.
People die everyday for the ones that they want, and for me that is my village but you... you I would also die for.
How could this be, why would I give up my life for someone so far away, and yet so close?
You don't deserve a broken person like me who has to learn what love is at such a late age.
Please don't worry, I am doing fine.
Here in this house, up on this hill, in this village full of people who respect me because they fear me.
I should stay here in the safety of my house, but the night reminds me of your eyes and I wish to gaze upon it.
-----

Yet again the Kazekage dropped his pen and remembered the night he and Lee had come back from speaking with Temari which was most stressful on them both. Temari talked just as much as Lee did but what she said was always boring and related to anything she heard from other villages. This time Gaara clutched the pen in his hand. That night THAT NIGHT, it had happened that night.

[FlashBack:]

Gaara pushed his door open and Lee stepped in kicking his sandals and stretching with a long yawn. Temari's long boring talk had done a number on them both. Gaara was already heading up to his room, not to sleep. He wasn't sleepy, he was just very tired and needed at least to rest his body. Feeling Lee just inches behind him he turned around as he grabbed the handle to his room door. He narrowed his eyes in the darkness of the hallway.

"What is it?" He asked in a whisper since Neji's room and Ten-Ten's room were just down the hall. The Chuunin behind him was trying to hide his smile as his teeth shined blindingly in the darkness.

"Oyasuminasai!" Lee pipped with an enthusiastic loud whisper. (A:N Is that an oxymoron? Too bad! You all know how Lee acts.)

Gaara murmured something close to a goodnight. He instantly was turned around and quicker than he could blink Lee kissed his cheek and zipped off down the hall. Taking thirty or forty seconds to catch his breath Gaara stared into nothing.

'WHAT WAS THAT?!? DID HE JUST-'

'You let him you baby, you could have moved, slapped him! Don't anything!' Shukaku screamed and it echoed in Gaara's ears.

Gaara growled and looked down the hall one more time. Lee still hadn't come back. Gaara shook as he turned the handle to his door and slipped in almost tripping over his own right foot. He flopped on his bed and rolled over on his back to stare at the ceiling.

'At least you finally got what you wanted.' Shukaku forced those unreal words out of his jaws.

'That's not what I wanted! I wanted to make the Hyuuga jealous from a distance not really have him put his lips on me! What was that?!? What .The. Hell. Was. That?!? My plan is ruined now. Lee must know of my feelings. Impossible!'

'For him...or for the Hyuuga?'

'What are you getting at Shukaku! I do not have feelings for that white eyed, self centered, cocky, self loving, hubris, egotistical, big headed genius!'

'Its nice to know you've thought of so many pet names for him.' The Sand Demon laughed. 'Are you forgetting that I know what you think about? I saw the way you stared at Hyuuga earlier. You liked the color of pink that fell over his cheeks. A lot more than you like that 'thing' Lee just gave you.' Laughing seemed to be the only thing Shukaku was good at lately.

'Go die somewhere you pest.' Gaara barked not really thinking about anything he was saying.

'I will go die somewhere just as soon as you decide suicide is the only method, though that won't work either will it? And if you think I'm so full of shit then go, go into the Hyuuga's bed and slide under the covers with him. I bet you won't stay like that without a piece of your body reacting.'

'What do you mean?' Gaara was rightfully confused-in him never even having experienced a hard-on before.

Shukaku wasn't going to be the one to explain. 'Never mind that, just go into his room and prove me wrong you brat.'

Gaara didn't know why he stood up and walked over to his door pulling it open. He also didn't know why he was down the hall in a flash opening Neji's door quietly. Once more he didn't know why he was stepping inside and closing the door behind him. He gulped when he saw the lump under the covers shift. He thought about turing around to run when he heard Shukaku laughing in his head. Pushing all doubt aside Gaara took a step forward. Followed by another and another until he was standing next to the bed looking down on Neji as he breathed softly in his sleep.

Any Ninja would have woken up and the click of the door knob but Gaara figured the Jounin was exhausted from the journey and that he was deep in sleep, which would in turn allow Gaara to sleep there until morning when he could leave without being discovered.

Gaara walked to the other side of the bed and pulled the covers back lightly, the Hyuuga didn't even moved and Gaara lifted the covers higher to see that Neji slept with no shirt and only training sweats. Gaara could feel his heart pounding, it was becoming very loud and he was sure it would be the thing to wake the sleeping one. He sat on the bed and slid to his side making sure not to take his eyes off the one breathing so peacefully next to him. What had he gotten himself into?

Neji shifted again and mutter something in his sleep while turning away to face the door, pulling the covers over his head after shivering. Gaara had froze and had opened his eyes wide like a deer in head lights. He only moved again once Neji stretched and one of his legs fell off the side of the bed along with his arm. Settling in finally Gaara pulled the covers over his head too and tried hard to see in the dark, he couldn't. He pulled the covers off his head and took a deep breath of air. Then he looked at the invisible Hyuuga, he wanted to see his face.

He pulled the covers slowly off Neji's head and as if he'd done something wrong or as if Neji felt cold, he immediately turned over to face Gaara, eyes opening half way. Gaara knew it, he was caught, he would die right here. Neji unconsciously patted the bed for the covers and a source of heat and instead, grabbed Gaara's shirt and pulled him closer, then closer so Neji had buried his head in Gaara's chest. Trying to remain still Gaara didn't even breathe, didn't even take a damn inhale. He could barely blink he was so scared. How the hell was he going to get out of this one?Luckily for him Neji found it hard to breathe and backed away from his chest just far enough so that Gaara could see his face.

What a face it was, with skin so creamy it looked a light shade of blue in the moon's light. His lips were a thin line of pale pink. Even closed, his eyes seemed to shine through his eyelids. His hair had recently fallen in his face and Gaara fought with himself not to move it, but the urges got the best of him and he reach for the bang that had come to cover Neji's eyes. Just as his fingers touch the few strands of hair Neji grabbed his wrist firmly. His eyes flashed open and those deadly pearls stared Gaara in his own jades.

Gaara knew everything was over from here on out and he tried and tried to come up with an excuse but Neji's eyes were holding him captive and he couldn't even move, not even to open his mouth to say anything. Why was he frozen? Neji frowned and then his eyes softened when they finally adjusted to the dark and he saw who laid prisoner next to him. He quickly jerked away and moved back almost falling out of the bed. Gaara grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

"What are 'YOU' doing?!?" Neji snatched his arm away and whispered. Gaara just stared, hopefully not talking would save him. It worked most of the time. Neji leaned closer, maybe the Kazekage hadn't heard him clearly.

"I said, what are you doing Gaara!" He got a little bit louder and regretted it when Gaara's eyes flashed from scared to a glare. Gaara was going to play the innocent type until the sound of Neji's voice had turned into something that sounded a lot like a threat.

"I'm laying in the bed with you." He said in a smart tone. If he was going to get caught he was going to keep playing along with his game. He was going to make someone jealous, wether it be Lee or the Hyuuga.

"Don't play stupid with me, you know very well I meant why are you in the bed with me?!? What On Earth Could Have Possessed You To-"

Gaara covered his mouth and put a finger over his own lips in a signal to make the Hyuuga be quiet. "You'll wake the others." Gaara said loosely and dropped his hand off Neji's lips-that were very warm if he remembered clearly. Neji looked down between them and almost flipped away when he remembered what he was wearing. He was pulled back, and this time closer, granting Gaara a small blush on his face.

Neji saw a smirk fall over Gaara's face and he glared, 'He's doing this on purpose! Fine, I can play a good game of cat and mouse too.' He thought and slid out of Gaara's arms to sit up and lean over Gaara. A look of utter confusion fell over the redhead and her felt small and scared again. He gasped in surprise when he felt Neji slyly slip his hand under his shirt and put it on his stomach, his eyes got bigger even when the Hyuuga leaned so close to his face their noses touched lightly.

Gaara felt like there wasn't enough air in the world for him to catch his breath and if he had it his way he'd die right there to make this strange feeling and the pit in his stomach go away. None of that would happen to him in the next 15 seconds. Neji leaned even further and pressed his lips barely upon his, but Gaara didn't react, couldn't he guessed. Why was this harder than he had initially imagined. Neji stayed for a good five to ten seconds before he pulled back with a smile on his face.

"What's the matter Kazekage...too good for me? Do you need Lee to be turned on? Hmmm?" Neji raised his eyebrow and grinned, this is more fun than he thought it was going to be. The infamous Sabaku No Gaara at his command, cowering below him and all because of a kiss.

"Can I try again, or rather should I try again?" Neji winked and Gaara found himself nodding

'He took me by surprise that's all. If I had known what he was going to do then he wouldn't be winning right now.' Gaara almost glared but wanted to play pitiful for just a little while longer. He was going to gain control back very soon. He felt Neji press up against him while leaning closer and tasting his lips for the second time. This time the kiss was a bit stronger and Neji caught Gaara's top lip in-between his. Gaara did take a second to collect himself before he kissed Neji back pushing him a little back with a but of force. Neji smiled into the kiss and rolled all the way over onto Gaara and eased between his legs.

Gaara turned his head away from the kiss to breathe and relax on the good feeling he was getting from Neji's body resting lightly above his. The Hyuuga lowered body and his hands sunk in the mattress at Gaara shoulders. Gaara threw a glare at him when that feeling slid through his lower body. He growled staring with a scowl.

"Don't get comfortable Hyuuga." Gaara spat rudely, not really paying attention to what he said, it must have just been a reaction to someone actually touching him.

"Too late, you're not leaving until I'm done." He glared back, showing Gaara he was definitely not afraid of him and this time he was going to get what he wanted and that Gaara had no say in it whatsoever. Gaara must have not liked the sound of that because he rolled over as hard as he could and took Neji with him so that the Jounin was underneath him and feeling the growing pain the was unfamiliar to Gaara within his legs.

Gaara smirked, "I win." He would have even stayed that way but it slowly dawned on him that the previous position was more comfortable since Neji was indeed a lot taller then he was. Gaara frowned and looked down at Neji's chest as if to see what was going on below them, when he felt Neji grind his hips. There was that scared feeling again, what was this that was preventing him from staying in control?

"Are you okay?" Neji tried to sound sweet but in his mind he was laughing evilly. Gaara shook his head and let it fall again.

"I don't think your place is on top...uke." Words fell out of Neji's mouth like an avalanche of sand on the side of an exploding mountaintop. Gaara nearly got his own words out of his mouth before he was tossed aside and Neji jumped back on top.

"Even the Kazekage can't always get what he wants. You'll like it on the bottom, trust me." Neji kissed his forehead and then let his lips find their way down to Gaara's lips that were now being more obedient and kissing him back, hungrily. He kissed Neji harshly asking for more than he was currently getting, he knew he'd lost control but right now he didn't care. He wanted more but leaning up to kiss he was pushing Neji back who was only giving him just a taste. Neji pulled away and Gaara almost bit his lip off. They were in full sitting position now while Neji straddled him.

Neji put his entire hand over Gaara face and pushed him back down. "Why are you rushing?" Neji lowered himself again kissed Gaara's neck, winning him a slight moan.

"Why are you taking so long, just get on with it already!" Gaara pulled him close and kissed him. "Don't act like you don't want it too, I can feel it already." Gaara darted his eyes down to his waist and Neji's eyes followed. He grabbed Gaara's cheeks and squeeze them. Gaara's lips puckered and he snatched away. Gaara pulled his shirt off and slightly shivered at the new cold on his skin. Neji ran his hands over every bit of visible skin and kissed, and nipped, and licked. Gaara couldn't help but wrap his legs around Neji's waist and and pulled their bodies closer even. The Hyuuga had descended to taste his neck and so Gaara found it okay run his fingers through that most perfectly soft brown hair. When Neji began to suck on his neck he could feel a burning circle forming and he grabbed a handful of hair and tugged at it.

Neji released his his torture and looked up at the blushing Shinobi. He literally jumped straight for Gaara lips and knew both pairs would be badly bruised by morning. When Neji pulled away he moved his hand between them and ran it over Gaara growing arousal, never taking his eyes off those jade marbles. Neji played with the rim of his pants and shook his head.

"Out of them." He said and Gaara pushed them off his hips and wiggled out of them. Neji took his pants off and finally laid their naked bodies against each other. What was this feeling? Gaara seemed almost dead to the world as he tried to place a world in the blank space. His eyes clouded over and his lips parted in a small pant. It was even harder to breathe than before and he didn't know if he was going to explode or implode. His breathing became rapid and he felt Neji's manhood colliding with his. Neji thrusted over him, almost too impatient himself. He quickly grabbed a hold of Gaara's virginity and the younger Nin lurched forward cracking his forehead against Neji's. He fell back and grabbed the pain. Smacking himself in the forehead to remind himself not to do that again.

Neji shook his head and his hair flowed beautifully in the moon's light. Gaara remembered that part perfectly. Neji gave him a quick kiss and then disappeared lower and lower until his chest replaced him hips. He looked up at Gaara, holding his erection inches from his lips. Gaara sat up a bit to see what the commotion was and Neji licked his lips before he blew a bit of cool air across the tip. Just that was the end for Gaara, he fell back, lost in another daze and Neji finally put his warm lips on the tip and kissed it. Gaara pleaded with himself to stay still for just a little while. He didn't want Neji to be missing an eye on his account.

Neji kissed the underside and licked just the tip, and very very slowly took his tongue in random circles. With his other hand he made sure his own arousal got a little attention. He could no longer see Gaara's face but he could see his chest puffing, quickly. He leaned up just a little and closed his mouth over the tip and then eased off again only to quickly jump back on. Gaara clawed at the sheets tried to keep his hips still. Neji moved farther down his shaft grabbed the base with his hand and holding it firmly. He started move at a good steady pace and was reward when Gaara's little pants turned into very heavy moans and sometimes even grunts.

Wanting so much more Gaara sat up like a zombie and palmed the back of Neji's head, forcing it lower and lower. He threw his head back and bit his bottom lip holding back a slight scream that was about to erupt. He felt like a fire was building in his gut and swirling in a circular motion. It burned so bad that it felt good and Gaara grabbed at the skin on his stomach, clawing it, leaving red marks across his abdomen. Neji, every now and then pulled off and wrapped his tongue around Gaara, so he could moan himself. The skin was warm in his mouth and he tasted drips of precum when he inhaled it again.

Gaara could feel something stronger than he had been feeling, approaching his his lower body from his stomach and it ached horribly as if it wanted to escape at the very moment. He breathed very short breaths and jerked twice as he spilled into the Hyuuga's mouth. Gaara put his hands behind him on the bed and arched his hips trying to empty his body and enjoy the last bit of sucking Neji was doing. Gaara closed his eyes and held his mouth open wide as if he was just learning how to breathe and it was heavenly. Neji pulled away from Gaara and wiped the excess white substance onto the sheets. Neji sat up and looked at Gaara who pretended to not see the Hyuuga since it was embarrassing to look at someone who just preformed oral sex on him.

Gaara shuttered as he cracked one eye open to see the smile on Neji's face. Gaara lowered his head to look at Neji harder. He didn't seem in he least bit embarrassed or upset that Gaara had, well cum in his mouth. The Hyuuga even seemed like he was enjoying every minute of it until he began to frown.

"What's wrong Gaara? You don't look like you're having as much fun as i am. Could I have done better?" Neji asked touching the side of Gaara's face and stroking his cheek. Gaara didn't think anything could have been better but he was in so much shock that he could barely show the lousy excuse for an emotion on his face. Neji waited for an answer but got none. He just smiled and pushed Gaara back into a laying position.

"If it wasn't good enough then I can do much better-" He grinned, "-you'll see." He wiped some of the substance off Gaara's stomach and used to to lube himself up. Neji rocked back in forth in his own hand, eyes daring to shut and bottom lip caught in between his teeth. Gaara watched closely, wanting to be the reason for Neji's soft and dangerous moans. The Hyuuga kept to what he was doing while he pushed Gaara legs open and slid his finger over Gaara's entrance shivering at the though of the virginity he was going to steal. Who the hell could say they stole Sabaku No Gaara's virginity? Him that's who!

He tapped his manhood over Gaara's ass and let his eyes trail over to the hearty green ones that frowned now. "There's no turning back now, I really hope this is what you wanted when you came to 'lay' in my bed with me-" Neji leaned close to Gaara's ear and licked the rim lightly. "-'cause i want you." Without another word he pushed hard into Gaara's entrance. He heard a very soft whimper as he was granted little access. He pushed Gaara's legs open wider, throwing one of Gaara's legs over his shoulder forcing the other one in a different direction.

Gaara squirmed, this hurt! This really did hurt and he remembered Neji saying 'There's no turing back now-' He wished he'd known this would happen or he would have protested and left the room to die in the bathtub under the heated water. Gripping Neji's hips barely, since he was farther away from him now, Gaara shrieked and he sounded almost female.

"Yamate, Neji Itai." Gaara held his eyes closed tight trying to accept the pain for Neji's sake. Neji complied ceasing to move farther inside, which he he was still currently having trouble with. He put Gaara's leg down and laid between the limbs. He had given Gaara a second to reconnect before he started to move just a little more. Gaara grabbed his shoulders and squeezed them a bit.

"Matte!" Gaara was bit loud. "Just a little more." He quieted down when he felt Neji lay up against him. He moved the hair from Gaara's eyes.

"I didn't mean what I said before, we can stop if this is too much." Neji was beginning to feel guilty. He watched as Gaara shook his head and moved for him, but just a bit before stopping. Neji pulled what he had fitted inside Gaara out and then calmly and slowly pushed it back in. This one didn't hurt as bad and Gaara noted that. He just had to be broken in first, he would have to deal with a few more of these little surges of pain and then maybe he'd feel what the 'Hype' was about. Neji moved in a little farther and pulled all the way out. He teased Gaara's entrance again and then found the warmness against him again.

"Mmm, stop clenching against me Gaara. It will feel good if you let me in and stop worrying so much, let me take care of you." Neji whispered into his ear kissing it sweetly. Gaara took a deep breath and let his body fall to a relaxed state and Neji pressed in a little more and more.

"See now, I'm going to take care good of you." He put his face in the pillow next to Gaara's head and took a deep breath. When he sat up it was to balance himself over Gaara and holding himself up on his palms next to Gaara's ears, forcing the pillow to sink. This faired it a lot easier for him and he could now thrust slowly to create a pace. Gaara's face was blank and his eyes were hollow as the Hyuuga stared at him and every time he would enter Gaara would gasp and hold his breath, not wanting to exhale. It built up to where Gaara could inhale no more and he screamed as Neji had impaled into a certain spot that Gaara couldn't describe.

He grabbed Neji's arm and squeezed it. They both stopped moving for a second and Neji looked into his eyes that had glazed over. Gaara stared right back, biting his lip as hard as he could, he could feel it bruising but the need to scream was coming again, he knew it, he wanted it.

"Do it again." It was more of an order than anything and Neji obliged by moving again, pulling out and ramming back in to hit Gaara's spot again. He loved the way Gaara would fall over in pleasure and stare at him even more hungry than the previous time. Gaara began to move his hips with Neji and the Hyuuga began to lose control as he closed his eyes and started to enjoy this more. He was rocking the bed now and he had a snarled look on his face as he picked up his pace and Gaara held tighter in his arms.

Neji couldn't even feel the pain from Gaara's nails as he slammed into the Kazekage rapidly. At one point Gaara did get a glimpse of the pearly eyes as they had landed on him to check and see if he was okay through his horribly good pants and moans, and groans, and grunts. The sounds were fueling Neji as he stopped his quick thrusts and turned them into full on pounds against Gaara's sore ass.

Every breath that came from Gaara ended in a loud-very sexy-moan while every thrust into his prey urged Neji to reveal a 'Fuck!' or Gaara's favorite, (A:N And mine ^_^) 'So Gooood...' Neji would either whisper or say with extreme enthusiasm. Gaara found this to be something he really liked and the words deepened his moans which in turn forced worse words to leave Neji's mouth. Finding himself unable to continue in this game anymore Gaara hunched up with his head in the crook of Neji's neck as he screamed/moaned once more before spilling all over NEji's stomach and chest. He held onto the Hyuuga's neck as he felt the same thing happen to the white eyed Jounin. Neji couldn't keep his dirty noises to himself so he leaned to Gaara's ear and whispered one last time with a jerk, "So...Good..."

[End FlashBack]

Gaara was sweating in his Kazekage chair. He looked around the dark room to see if anyone was there. No one. He must have fallen asleep while thinking about his last encounter with Hyuuga Neji. He sat up and looked around the room again, it had really felt like someone was there with him but he over looked it when his gaze fell on the unfinished Letter/Poem. He scooted his chair back and left the room to walk in the kitchen. He reached under the sink and grabbed a small red candle, he didn't feel like being in a bunch of light right now. He trudged back the room where his feelings stained the almost done scroll. He set the candle down and lit it was some matches he found in his desk.

The light was dull but shined just enough for him to see what he needed to. He was going to end this horrible excuse for work. He swiftly picked up his trusty ink pen and began the last piece of his surrender.

I've got another confession for you, one I didn't know I had to tell until I felt those arms being torn away from me.
After realizing that I hadn't gone insane with your absence, I knew that 'Ai' played a big role in keeping me sane.
Please don't tell me that you love me.
Are you well or are you suffering there without me?
I'll wait a lifetime to give into you, but not if you admit you love me.
Why don't we breathe together, so I can see that things aren't always as they appear to be?
Why can't I see what you see, why couldn't I just walk away from a great night followed by six stressful and abnormal days?

Seems like you have a lot of practice in this area so I won't be bothering you by sending this Letter/Poem to you.

Now here I am in the darkness of my own home trying to write this crap i'll never send.
I'm making myself sound like a helpless Konoichi in the desert being attacked by rattle snakes.
I just wanted you and that's all.
Why do I never seem to get my way when its my personal life?
You showed me a kind of passion I only thought would arrive in my dreams.
You showed me that waiting long enough, pain can bring forth great awaited pleasure and can be soothing.
Why did I ever let you get away from me?

Jealousy, Envy, and The Youngest One

The desert is barren and empty, yet people travel far and wide to look upon the beauty of the untouched sand.
My heart was broken, yet a person traveled my body bravely to seek something mysterious.
Now the desert is full, yet I see no reason to step out side until its night and the moons shines.
Your heart is missing, and I think maybe it needs to find mine to survive.
My Hyuuga Neji.

Gaara put his pen down and reread his work. Its was the worst thing he'd ever written in his life but to settle himself he flipped the scroll over and wrote on the back in big letters so that he could clearly see.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: HYUUGA NEJI

Gaara rolled up the scroll and tied a thin red ribbon around it leaving it on the desk. He wanted to burn it in the fireplace but he was tired and figure he could wait until tomorrow night to do something so drastic. He leaned back in the chair and his eyes slowly fell shut but he forced them back open and got up to lay on the couch next to his desk. He laid down and almost immediately fell asleep. (A:N I need to allow Gaara some kind of rest)

Less than an hour later Temari crept in and looked as her brother was breathing heavily on the couch. He was tossing and turning and didn't seem to be having a good dream but she moved passed him to pick up the papers she needed to send off to other various villages. In the candles still dim light she lifted the folders she spotted the scroll and eyed it curiously. See picked it up and read Hyuuga Neji over and over. It did say important, she took it in her arms and scooted out to deliver the papers, and the scroll.

Gaara still tossed over and over on the couch, he was dreaming about a horrible night, the night that-

[FlashBack: Same Night As NejiXGaara]

Gaara laid quietly in Neji's arms as they both stared at the ceiling. It had been a very very long night but neither could sleep. Gaara, because he felt like he would never sleep again-not that he had been before and Neji because he felt an extreme wave of guilt wash over him. What had he done? He knew the Ninja below him would expect him to stay, to be with him from now on. Neji sighed, he couldn't leave behind Konoha, even if he did...love...Gaara.

Neji looked out the window and saw the sun beating through and then heard rough footsteps run down the hall. He and Gaara both sat up and heard Lee burst into the Kazekage's room down the hall.

"Ohayo Gozai-" Lee abruptly stopped when he saw and empty room but Gaara's gourd laying on the floor, sand spilled every which way as it had tried to enter through the wall of Neji's room to save its Master the night before. They both heard Lee start screaming frantically and rather than find a quick escape Gaara was too stunned to move-as was Neji. The Hyuuga put his hand under Gaara's chin.

"I'll take care of you." He whispered.

"AHHHHHHH GAARA-SAMA! WHERE ARE YOU? NEJI ! ! ! ! !" Lee ran down the hall to his room. Neji gulped and looked at Gaara but they were too late. Lee busted in pulling his hair out.

"Neji...Gaara, he's-" Lee jaw fell to the floor when he saw the half naked Kazekage sitting up next to the half naked Jounin. His eyes fell low and he began to have big tears grace his face as he kept staring "-in your bed."

Don't hurt me you guys! I tried hard to leave a cliff hanger.
No there won't be a sequel.
I'm a new NejiXGaara fan and I thought this was a good start.
^_^ Hope you liked it a lot. I had fun writing it.
I really do wanna hear what you all thought though.

I spent a lot of time writing the Letter/Poem but I am giving credit to a couple of bands I borrowed some lines from.
Though I did rephrase them, or some of them. Feel free to name the songs if you like. LOL! ^_^
I also took the Chapter title from a part of Naruto's 12th Ending Theme Song 'Parade' by CHABA (Episodes 166-178)
Also the ending little Letter thingy was the Poem part of the Letter/Poem, UGH, sorry if it was confusing.
I confused myself while re-reading it...
I hope you can look for my work again.

Before I go ...one more quick thing.
I WANNA THANK CORVIN FOR THE writing Dark Diary which made me want to write this little piece even though its no where near as GREAT as her writing.
"Thank you so so so so so so so much Corvin. Its only because of you that I even considered NejiXGaara. You ROCK!
