Abandonment.
Chapter One – Abandonment.

THIS is in response to Lemon Drops challenge. This is part of three fics. This one is more on, in order of importance, Naruto and Gaara. The next would be Sakura and Rock Lee. And the third will be on Tsunade and Jiraiya. There will be chapters with the same titles and events. BUT it will be in the perception of someone else.
I.e. Tsunade vs. Naruto, Sai, Sakura, and Sasuke. If that were to get it from Tsunade’s perception in her fic, and Naruto’s fic would either have his, Sai, and Sasuke. Sakura’s fic would follow the same thing.

Our favorite blonde haired ninja, gave out a huge yawn when he awoke. He threw off his covers and gently rubbed his eyes. And he paused. Something felt wrong. Shrugging, the shinobi walked out of his room and down the stairs. And down those stairs, Naruto’s past was there to confront him. His past, his nightmare, and the abandonment.
“Anna!” A young blonde said, rushing to a blurry womanly figure, a truly happy and proud smile gracing his features, holding a glass heart in his hands. “I got you something with the money, Grandpa Hokage gave me!” The blurry figure didn’t turn around, just stood there, staring at the wall. “Anna?” The child said softly, a hint of fear in his voice.
The older blonde stood there, his faced withdrawn. “Anna...She...hurt me when she was like that...” He muttered.
“Anna? Did I do something bad again?” The child asked softly.
The woman didn’t face the child. “You exist. That’s what you did.” She muttered.
“And she wouldn’t stop...She just kept hurting me, and hurting me, and hurting me, till she wasn’t angry anymore.”
The child put his lowered his head, dejectly. “I’m...sorry...Anna.” The four year old child said.
“You exist...” Anna muttered again before turning around. The only thing that was clear about her, was her wild, anger fueled, purple eyes. She grabbed the young boy the neck, and pushed him against the wall. “You damn monster...just die.” The glass heart fell out of his hand and shattered against the floor. “Just die and go to hell, with the other demons!” Squeezing a bit tighter against the blonde’s throat.
The child struggled, kicking his tiny feet and failing his arms about. Trying to get himself free.
“And she...tried to kill me.”
“You are worthless!” She screamed at the child and threw a punch at the pinned child’s right eye, causing a gasping scream to erupt from his mouth. “You’re a rejected bastard!” Another punch was thrown at the child’s mouth, causing it to bleed a bit. “Unneeded to this village!” Blood started to flow from the child forehead, where the she hit him next. “Just by living, you cause so much pain to the village!” She screamed at the child again, this time instead of striking the poor boy, she threw him at the opposite wall.
“She...she was suppose to take care of me.” Naruto muttered.
The child just lied on the floor, not moving. Anna walked over to him and delivered a sharp kick to his side. “Go to HELL!” And started kicking him in other places, leaving bruises after some of them. And the young child, barely screamed in pain. He just started to cry silently.
After a few minutes she stopped. “Just die and rot, bastard.” She muttered and opened the door to the house, and walked out, slamming it shut. She had abandoned the young Naruto. Leaving him there, crying silently, bleeding, and his right eye closed and swollen.
“But she left me to die...” Naruto spat in disgust. “Some caretaker...She left us...”
After a while the boy got up, tears still streaming down his face. He walked over to wear the shattered heart was. And for some reason he began to put it back together, cutting his fingers in the process.
“It hurts doesn’t it? To love someone...and not get it back ever.” He asked the child. “What is love anyways?” He asked the boy again. “Like you or I would know.” He watched the child finish putting the glass heart together. The last few parts put back in, spelt out a sentence.”
“I love you, Anna.”
----
And with that, Naruto woke up to someone pounding at his door. Gloomily he got out of bed and went to answer it. He opened the door so that only half of his face was seen.
Outside of the door, was a cheerful Sakura, an annoyed Sasuke, Sai who was currently painting something, and a concerned Kakashi. “You alright Naruto? It’s not like you to be late for trai...” Sakura said before getting interrupted by Naruto.
“Go away.” He growled out before slamming the door in her face and locking it.
Not caring what they thought, the normally cheerful blonde, went up to his room, and pulled something out from under his bed. A glass heart...

Well the next part up will be in Sakura’s fic! It will explain a bit more about what happened that day!
And Sakura and Naruto, are 21 years old in this fic. Sasuke and Sai are 22.
Don’t worry it should get cheerful sooner or later. I think...
