Chapter 01
He woke up due to the pain. He was hurting everywhere. He didn’t know yet what was hurting more, if the pain his body felt was greater than the one that tore his heart and soul apart. *Love hurts*, he thought closing his eyes again

He woke up yet again a few day later. His body still protested for even the smallest movements and the nurses weren’t around for him to ask them for painkillers. Not that they would bring him any, of course. Sighing, he tried to sit up in his bed, hissin and crsing at the pain that shot p in his body. His vision swam, forcing him to close his eyes for some minutes. He rested agains the bedhead, his breath uneven, until his head cleared some. His sky-blue eyes, once bright and full of life, appeared dull.
Slowly he turned his head to look ot of the window. His room was bare and not even the flowers brought him by the Hokage and Hinata made it wort to look at. Depressing, really. It was a nice day, the sun was shining, the birds chirping and the kids playing happily with each other, Nothing, outside, reflected what everyone had gone through lately. What he had gone through lately. “So unfair…” he muttered.
That’s when the door opened. Quietly, slowly. Whoever was entering the room probably didn’t want to be heard. Naruto’s breath hitched and he immediately turned to look at the intruder. “.....” said intruder, a young pink haired girl, simply stared at the boy, her gaze impassive. “S-Sakura-chan…?” Naruto’s voice was hesitant. Sakra’s eyes hardened for a few moments “You hurt him.”, she finally said.
Naruto lowered his head, the guilt and pain he was feeling already, doubled in intensity, making it hard for him to control the tears that wanted to make themeselves known on his face. “I-I-I’m s-sorry, Sakura-c-chan…” he said, his voice breaking like everything else inside him. *It was not supposed to be like this! I’m sorry! I turly am. I didn’t want to hurt you, Sasuke. I just wanted you to come home. Sasuke…don’t hate me for that.* But he couldn’t voice these thoughts. Not to Sakura, nor anyone else. They already hated him more than enough.
Sakura’s gaze softened a bit and she sighed. “I know you are, Naruto, I know you are.” She moved a chair to sit near him. “You know, you had us quiet worried. You wouldn’t wake up… does it hurt?” she asked looking at his shoulder closely. Naruto was silent for a few seconds, trying to regain some sort of control. Yes, his shoulder did hurt, but his heart ached in a way it never did before. He settled for giving Sakura a little smile, hoping she would not see it was fake. “Lie, daijobu. Thanks for asking, Sakura-chan.” He replied to her question.
“You know, Sasuke will probably be sent home tomorrow. Even though he will be under Anbu-watch 24/7. Mou, I wll not have a lone moment with him for who knows how much time! He is wery angry at you, I heard him yelling when I tried to visit him bafore. It wasn’t nice, what he said…so… just stay away from him for a while, ok?” she asked. Naruto turned his gaze to the window. “Ah! I was almost forgetting! Ne, Naruto, I’m going now. I’ll stop by tomorrow, ok?” Another smile and a nod were her answers. Sakura blinked, looking at Naruto worriedly for a few seconds before standing up and putting the chair back wew it was. “Ja ne, Naruto!” she said as she walked out, closing the door behind her. She never saw the tears that simply could not be contained any longer, nor she heard the sound of a broken heart.
