Not All What It Seems
Summary - When Itachi kills their clan, and wounds his little brother, Sasuke is captured by two in his weakened state. Naruto, tries and free Sasuke out of kindness and empathy. The villagers catch him and throws Naruto in the cage with Sasuke.

Chapter one: Captured
-Flashback-
Sasuke was in a trance as he watched his brother relentlessly slaughter their clan.
He should have known something was wrong the day he lost his temper at him. Itachi never loses his temper. He even hit Sasuke and said he was worthless.
But it was too late now. The worst had been done. Itachi had finally snapped.
A scream woke him from his trance. It was his mother’s voice. She was screaming, eyes wide. Fear shook her frail body. Blood from her dead aunt had stained her perfectly white dress. Speckled red.
Sasuke’s attention turned away from her and to his father.
Fugaku was doing his best to dodge his son’s dagger. As Itachi swung, Fugaku dropped to the ground in a desperate attempt to dodge the weapon. Sasuke clutched his shirt tightly as his brother stabbed his father in the forehead. The elder dropped to the ground, crimson liquid pooling around his now dead body.
“Father?” Were Sasuke’s whispered words. He watched in horror as Itachi advanced to his mother. “No!” The younger raven screamed, running to protect his mother.
Itachi ignored him. “Stop it Itachi!” Sasuke tripped on his father’s corpse, getting is clothes smeared with blood. Tears were flowing freely now.
Itachi had his mother backed to the wall, and thrust his dagger in her heart. His mother’s eyes rolled back into her head as she slipped to the ground. Sasuke got up, hot tears streaming down his bloodstained cheeks. “Why did you kill her?! You bastard! I’ll kill you!” The younger raven charged head first to his brother, blinded by tears, blood, and anger. “You killed mother! She was defenseless you lowlife!”
Itachi landed a punch to Sasuke’s stomach and the younger doubled over. Itachi kicked Sasuke at the back of his head with his heel as the younger raven was doubling over, causing him to hit the ground face first.
Itachi smirked. “Foolish little brother.” He scorned.
The fallen Uchiha got up on his elbow and coughed blood out. He picked his head up from the floor and spat at Itachi. “I’ve always hated you.” He seethed out.
Sasuke felt a searing pain across his shoulder, then saw nothing but black.
-End Flashback-
Sasuke awoke and a jolt of pain shot up his back. He arched up.
“Oh, look. The vampire’s awakened.” A voice muttered. “I was hoping for it to be dead, too.”
The vampire blinked and realized that he was imprisoned in a steel cage. He threw himself at the cage, regardless of the pain. “Let. Me. Out.” He seethed. To think that he was caught by a couple of humans.
“Shut up you stupid vampire.” A man spat near the cage.
Sasuke grit his teeth and muttered very colorfully. His father wouldn’t have approved if he had heard that. The raven-haired teen froze as last night’s memories flooded back to him. ‘Father…’ Sasuke clenched his teeth harder. “Fucking bastard.” He felt anger spread through his body like hot fire. Sasuke would have punched the cage if he weren’t so weak right now. ‘Oh great. Fan-fucking-fabulous. I’m fucking weak. And I’m fucking stuck in this fucking cage while being fucking stared at by fucking villagers.’ “I will use whatever fucking language I want!” The raven growled out.
He felt the cage shake as it was kicked. “Shut up. Unless you want to be burned alive.” Sasuke gave the man the finger and sat back to think. ‘I need to get out of here. And kill that bastard Itachi. Itachi…It’s his entire fault! If he hadn’t wounded me like this, these stupid men wouldn’t have caught me.’ Sasuke observed his surroundings, searching for a way out. He glared even harder at the two men. He was in broad daylight, and villagers were staring at him, muttering something about it serving the vampire right. The raven-haired teen sighed. ‘How degrading…’

A blond haired, blue-eyed boy bounced happily to his friend, Rem. School was cancelled today, because of a village meeting. And Naruto couldn’t be happier.
“Rem!” Naruto shouted, running over to his silver haired friend and glomping him, making both of them fall to the floor.
“I-it’s nice to see you too, Naruto.” Rem gently pushed Naruto off of him.
“School’s cancelled today…” A happy sigh was heard from Naruto. The blond turned to Rem. “Wonder what the meeting is about?”
The teen rolled his purple eyes at Naruto. “Sensei told us yesterday, but you got so excited when she said school was cancelled, I guess you got just blocked everything else out.” Naruto huffed.
“So? It’s not like school gets cancelled every day you know. It’s a good reason to be distracted!” The blond protested.
Rem continued. “Anyway, I heard that a couple of men in this village caught a vampire. Rumors are that anyone in this village that is sentenced to death, they would, well, become the vampire’s er…meal..” Rem said.
Naruto’s eyes widened.

“They caught a vampire? And they’re using it for punishment? Are we going to see it tomorrow? Does it look scary? How did they catch it?” Naruto questioned Rem excitedly.
“Yes, to you – Since you’re such a wimp, yes, I don’t think so, and I don’t know. We’ll probably be hearing from those two men tomorrow.” Rem replied.
“Oh. Okay then.” Naruto bounced around again. “Come on Rem, let’s do something! There’s no school tomorrow ya know.”
“I heard.”.

Sasuke peeled the side of his head away from the cage. According to the two men, the whole village was going to gather around here. In front of him. ‘The whole damn fucking village is going to be staring at me. That’s all I need. Am I a attraction now?”
The raven-haired teen’s stomach growled. ‘Shit. I didn’t eat since Itachi killed our clan.’ Sasuke leaned on the cage. ‘Hopefully someone around here is sentenced to death soon.’
Sasuke stared wearily at the clouds and his stomach growled again. ‘Damn Itachi. I’ll find you. And I’ll kill you. Even if it costs my life to do it.’
