Now I can See You

Whoooo! I know, I should be writting the 4th chapter of my other fic "When I See Inside" and I am! But I had an idea for another fic, so I started writting this one, I hope you guys like it! This one is spent in konoha, Naruto, Sasuke and sakura are 17 years old, they are team 7 like the anime,. The story here is, Naruto and Sasuke have feelings for each other, but they still don't know it yet, but I make that clear by the way they sometimes treat each other. Now go read XD This first chapter might be a little boring, but please read!!

Disclaimer: I don't own naruto, Kishimoto-san does, if I owned Naruto I wouldn't be here, where I am now, I would be in Japan sitting around my big pool and looking at my mansion lol XD

Chapter 1

Through the sound of wooden wheels rolling on the street, a female voice shouted: “Hey, Naruto, wake up, we’re back in Konoha”.


“Sakura-Chan, you don’t have to scream like that!” the blonde blue eyed boy said frowning a little.


"As always…a dobe” a mysterious brunette figure sneered while giving him a cold look as usual.


“Shut up Sasuke!" Naruto said looking out the window. His thoughts were now upon the person sitting in front of him. He didn’t understand why Sasuke was always like that to everybody… especially to him. what the hell is his problem anyway? He thought.


His thoughts were interrupted by Kakashi’s voice, he was already out of the carriage along with Sasuke and Sakura “Oi Naruto, get out of there!” Kakashi said in his usual calm voice. Naruto did as ordered and approached the three of them, Kakashi said they were having a mission tomorrow…they were sure it was going to be nothing much, just simple tasks like walking somebody’s dog like usual. Naruto and Sasuke get particularly annoyed by these so-called missions.


After the explanation, everyone went to their own homes. Sakura lived with her parents, as for Naruto and Sasuke, they lived alone. Sasuke’s house was huge, more like a mansion, with wide rooms and a very big gateway outside. The greatness of that house made him feel incredibly alone. His parents died, and his brother, well, he didn’t like to talk about him much, he was left with this house. He didn’t know if he should hate it or love it. It was too complicated. By contrast, Naruto’s house… well, was always a mess! It had simple furniture…mainly a bed next to the window…overall a little cleaning and it could be much nicer.


Sakura reached her home to find her loving parents awaiting her arrival. She couldn’t help but to feel a bit sorry for both Naruto and Sasuke as they were always alone. She thought about going to visit them, but then she decided it was best not to, Sasuke would probably shut the door on her face and Naruto would be sleeping like a rock by now. Oh well, I better stay here. She thought while sitting at the table to eat dinner.


Naruto entered his apartment and immediately reached for the fridge to fetch a can of Ichiraku ramen “Yummy I love ramen!!” Naruto said with a singing voice, but through his eyes the sadness could not be hidden, he didn’t like to be always alone like that “I don’t want to be alone anymore…”


“Who says you’re alone Naruto?”


Naruto jumped out of the chair and looked to the man that was there.


“Geesh Iruka-Sensei you scared me to death!!”


The brown eyed man started to laugh and Naruto frowned a little.


“You’re never alone Naruto, you have Sakura and Sasuke, Kakashi and me, you know I like you very much and will always be here for you don’t you?” Iruka said with a warming voice and actually, it really made Naruto feel much better.


“Yeah…I know. I- I… just don’t know about Sasuke. I’m sure he hates me! He’s always so cold towards me…”


Iruka spotted a little sadness and irritation in the tone of his voice.


“Come on Naruto, I’m sure it’s nothing like that. Sasuke’s always been like that, you know?”


“Yeah, I know, but still…”


“Hey, how about we go eat at Ichiraku’s? My treat eh?” Iruka said with a cheering voice.

“Well… Sure!” Naruto jumped, he really liked Iruka-Sensei, he had always taken good care of him. They left the apartment and went to dinner together.


Meanwhile Sasuke had already arrived at his house, he was too tired to eat. That dumbass is always so clumsy! I had to do all the work…and now I’m all worn out! I hate going on missions with him!! Geesh! Why am I even wasting my time thinking about him? I gotta get some sleep He suddenly closed his eyes and fell asleep instantly.


The next morning they met early in the bridge, where they usually meet and of course Naruto was, as usual, late but, surprisingly, Kakashi Sensei was even later than Naruto.


“Tsk, I can’t believe we’re going on another shitty mission like this... I’m so sick of it! Why can’t we get serious missions?! Besides…Naruto always screws up the whole thing!”


“It’s good to know what you think about me Sasuke” Naruto had just arrived and heard every word Sasuke pronounced.


“Humph, what do you care?”


“I do! Why are you always like that to me?? Did I do something to you? I’ve always tried so hard to get along with you but you always push me aside with your remarks.”


Now facing the ground, and in a lower voice, Naruto let out “You know I would like to get closer to you…” Sasuke’s expression changed, he was surprised. To get closer to me… He thought, and then grabbing Naruto’s arm he started “Naruto I…” but was interrupted by Kakashi’s voice calling them “Oi, come already, we’re late”


“What?? Of course we are late Kakashi Sensei, it’s your fault, you’re worse than Naruto!!” Sakura shouted in an angry voice.


I wonder what today’s mission is going to be… Naruto thought while walking behind Kakashi and the others. Suddenly Sasuke turned around and faced him, he said something like “Come to my house when the mission’s over, I wanna say something to you.” Naruto’s eyes were wide open “A-am, Sure!” he said still looking shocked. What would Sasuke want to say to him? What could it possibly be? He had no idea and was starting to get nervous. Alone with Sasuke in his house… Geeesh why am I all nervous?? It’s just boys talk that’s all, I don’t have to be like this, I dunno why I’m like this… Damn it!


They finally arrived at a big flower field, it was very wide and beautiful, it had flowers of all sizes and colours, it was truly a sight, and a little to the left from where they were, there was a small river, very crystalline and clean. It was indeed gorgeous and the weather that day made it look even prettier.


Kakashi stopped and facing his students realized that they were stunned by the beauty of the landscape, then, putting his favourite book in his pocket he started to explain what they had to do “Ok, we are here to collect some flowers.”


“WHAT?????” both Naruto and Sasuke shouted at the same time “Collect flowers??? What kind of mission is that???”


“Naruto’s right, damn it, why can’t we have a real mission??” Sasuke said while
looking really pissed of, along with Naruto. They were clearly annoyed by that mission.


“Well I kinda like it, I love flowers, besides you should be thankful, we’re getting home earlier!” Sakura said while jumping in the air, but was immediately interrupted by Kakashi Sensei’s voice, he sounded quite a bit teasing and amused by what he was about to say “This is not as easy as it seems, we are here to collect a particular type of flower, you know, it’s a little hard to catch it and…”


“It’s just a flower, it can’t be that hard to catch…”


“Naruto don’t interrupt me!! Now where was I? Ah, as I was saying, this type of flower it’s not normal, it’s a carnivore…”


“Oh that, it’s piece of cake, why are you so worried Kakashi Sensei?”


“Naruto please!!!!!!! Just let me finish! You have to be careful, that flower is powerful, and if you don’t watch your guard it can take you down, so don’t do any senseless actions to… HEY!!!!! Naruto!!!” Naruto was running through the field looking for that flower, he was jumping everywhere, grabbing and touching all the flowers he could to find which one was it.


“That Dumbass!!! Oi Naruto, you idiot!!!! What are you doing???” Sasuke shouted following him.


“Kakashi Sensei they’re gonna get in trouble, they’re completely distracted!”


“Yeah, they are just the same, geeesh, they never learn!”


Sasuke grabbed Naruto’s arm “You DUMBASS!! What the hell are you doing??!!”


“What do you think stupid, I’m trying to find that flower…?”


“Didn’t you just hear what Kakashi Sensei said?? Are you crazy, you can get hurt!!”


“Since when do you worry about me??”


Kakashi went after them, and then, punching the two at the same time “Aren’t we a bit too excited here? Naruto, never again walk on me without letting me finish what I have to say, got it?”


“Yeah, sorry…” Naruto said standing up from the ground, his face was bruised, Kakashi hit him pretty hard.


“And you Sasuke, what’s gotten into you to chase after Naruto like that? You’re just as irresponsible as he is, don’t do pointless actions understood??”


“Humph” Sasuke said looking really annoyed, his eyes were facing the ground and he was shaking his fists, he was not as bruised as Naruto and didn’t have a hard time in getting up unlike Naruto that took forever to completely stand up. He and Naruto were now facing each other, by the look of their eyes they were clearly in conflict. That dumbass!!! I hate him, he made me act like a complete fool in front of Kakashi, why did I even worry about that jerk?? Sasuke thought trying really hard to understand why did he run to follow Naruto. Just what has gotten into me?? I don’t take sudden and irresponsible actions like this…Naruto you idiot ARGH!!


Sakura was really surprised to see Sasuke loosing his temper like that, and because of Naruto! Was he that worried about what could happen? He always treats Naruto so coldly and now was worried to the point of doing that! This was really surprising.


“Enough, stop acting like that! To search for the flower we have to split in a group of two, I’ll go with Sakura, Naruto, you go with Sasuke…”


“But…”


“No buts Naruto, just do it, and don’t kill each other, you are team-mates, act like it, you both need to learn to get along with each other.”


“Let’s get going then dobe.”


“Argh, can’t you ever call me by my name Sasuke??”


“Whatever, come on.”


They both started walking. Sasuke’s eyes were looking everywhere to see if he could find any sign of the flower Kakashi was talking about. Naruto was searching too, but he was a little less concentrated than Sasuke. I wish Hinata was here, with her Byakugan it would be easier. Hey, but, the idiot has sharingan, why isn’t he using it?


“Oi Sasuke”


“What is it dobe?”


Naruto rolled his eyes and continued, he wasn’t going to argue about Sasuke not saying his name, at least not now, and looking straight at him he continued “why don’t you use your Sharingan?” A little evil smirk came to Sasuke’s face, all of a sudden he moved forward and grabbed both Naruto’s arms “Why you ask? You think I look sexy in those red eyes?” ok, I DID NOT just said that!!!! I must be out of my fucking mind today!


Naruto blushed violently “w-w-w-whaaa?” he almost couldn’t speak he was staring at Sasuke’s pale face and into his dark eyes, then Sasuke took both hands off of Naruto’s arms and continuing walking said “Relax dobe I was joking.”


Naruto couldn’t believe what had happened, what was wrong with Sasuke today? That really surprised him, and he thought the idiot was a lot more conceited than he had thought.


“I certainly do not think that Sasuke, I just asked because I thought it would be easier to find the flower.”


Facing Naruto one more time Sasuke answered “I’m not using my sharingan because I don’t want to, I don’t need to use it to find the flower, I don’t feel like using it, got it, dobe?”


“Alright! You don’t have to act like an asshole…ASSHOLE!” Naruto sneered at Sasuke turning his back on him and walking away from him. Naruto had a chance to be alone with his thoughts for a small moment…and even there Sasuke populate his being. But he couldn’t think about him right now…he was set on not screwing up this assignment. He was fed up with always being the one that messed up everything. As he walked through the field he couldn’t help but to be overwhelmed by the stunning beauty that it possessed. It was as though his eyes couldn’t bare to see so much beauty. He stopped. A small tear started to flow down his cheek, but he didn’t notice it.


“You crying dobe?!” Sasuke mocked “I didn’t know you were such a softie!” He continued making Naruto clutch his fist.


“I’m not crying!!!!” Naruto bellowed and ran away.


“Wait…don’t run!” Sasuke screamed at his eloping figure “I was just joking around!” But Naruto didn’t make any mention of stopping. He just ran. He would run to the end of the world if that was the only way to get away from Sasuke. His feet stepped over many flowers…but he didn’t care…he just wanted to leave. Suddenly something crept around his ankle and he fell flat on the field and started to be dragged back.


“What the hell?!” He said turning on himself. “Sasu – What the hell is this?!?!”


There was this large tentacle around his left foot. For a moment he couldn’t help but to feel super excited…he had found the flower!


I FOUND IT!!! ALONE!!!!!!


Immediately he jumped up into the air, but as he was just becoming airborne the tentacle pulled him down. The flower was a lot smaller than he had originally expected. Its petals were greenish and had thorns and flapped continuingly.


“KAGE BUNSHIN NO JUTSU!!!!!!!”


Immediately his clones started chewing on the tentacle in order to free Naruto. After they were finished, Naruto landed on his feet. “That was close!”


Now let’s get down to business… He smirked turning to the flower that was apparently growing new tentacles. Naruto advanced rapidly throwing kunai, but as the first one knocked the flower the ground started to shake and then slowly crumble taking Naruto along.


“OUCH!!!...” He screamed while getting very lazily up. WHAT THE -?!? Naruto couldn’t believe his eyes…the flower was no longer a mere blossom, but a monster. Naruto couldn’t even see any traces of the original flower nor could he explain how such a small thing was able to turn into such beast. He was shocked and tried to find a way to defeat it, this was his big chance to prove to everybody that he could do things right and not mess up like Sasuke always says he does. He began to run trying to surround the flower, maybe it would get confused, but his plan wasn’t working, the flower was too strong for him to handle alone. Damn it! I have to find a way to defeat it without help.


“Naruto, are you alright?” Sasuke shouted, not very far from where Naruto was standing.


“I’m alright Sasuke, just don’t get in the way, I don’t need your help”


“Who says I wanna help you? And you’re the one who’ll get in the way!”


They both were attacking the flower, but it didn’t seem to be having any effect, it was too strong, besides, Naruto and Sasuke were completely fighting their own way, this was supposed to be done as a team, but apparently both of them didn’t want to think about that, they wanted to take credit alone.


“KAGE BUNSHIN NO JUTSU” Naruto summoned his helpers, he tried to smash down the flower by telling to his clones to charge against it and encase it in a very tight circle in order to make it burst, but his plan wasn’t successful, one of the tentacles flew and hit Naruto hard on his stomach “Ahg! Damn it!” his mouth was flooded with blood, he was hurt pretty badly.


“Oh no, Naruto!” Sasuke noticed Naruto was laid down on the ground and an amount of concern started to fill his emotions. The dobe got hurt, I hope he is alright. Fuck! AGAIN? I’m worried?? Shit I don’t have time for this now.


“SHARINGAN”


Sasuke’s eyes turned red, he was gonna use that technique to see the flower’s movements and try to avoid them, he was starting to be able to predict them, but he got distracted, Naruto coughed from the other side, he was spitting blood “The dobe, I have… ARGH!!! What the fuck?!!” Sasuke felt strong tentacles encasing him in a tight embrace, and suddenly starting to completely cover him, he felt as every bone in his body were being broken slowly, it was a painful feeling, pretty much worse than the time he fought with Haku, with all those needles piercing him, he was starting to loose his consciousness due to the lack of air and pressure he was being submitted.


Naruto opened his eyes slowly, he was numb, and very badly hurt, he still had blood spilling from his mouth, he looked around and noticed that Sasuke was being pulled inside the flower “Sasuke…” he was having trouble in breathing “I have to help him” he tried to get up, but he had lost a lot of blood, he couldn’t walk and fainted again.


In the mean time, Sasuke had already been completely swallowed and was now inside the mouth of the damn flower.

I can’t move here, it’s too tight, I have to think of a way to destroy it before I get melted by the acid or something, damn it! He was trying to reach his kunai, but he couldn’t, both his arms were bent over his chest, it was impossible to reach anything. The only way is… but it’s a little risky, I’m gonna hurt myself too, but…it’s better than to die here… Sasuke tried his best to form the seals with his hands, and then “KATON GOUKAKI NO JUTSU” A large wall of fire was formed exploding the flower from within, the space was very tight so he got burned up as well. The explosion caused a crater on the ground and Sasuke rested there, among the leftovers of the dead beast.


Naruto woke up with the noise, he saw Sasuke falling to the ground, he pushed himself hard to try to move, he got up slowly, and began walking to where Sasuke was, he was a little numb due to the immense loss of blood, but was able to finally get there.


“Hey, Sasuke, wake up, we have to get out of here”


Sasuke opened his eyes and saw Naruto’s baby blue eyes staring down at him, his face was bruised and his Konoha forehead protector wasn’t there.


“You got pretty injured dobe, are you alright?” Sasuke enquired while poking Naruto’s nose.


“I’m not that well, I feel a little dizzy and my stomach hurts, that bastard hit me with those damn tentacles, but I’m worried about you, you must be horribly bad” Naruto said with a tone of surprise “You just poked me, must be the wounds, geesh, you got pretty messed up yourself.”


“I guess you’re right”


“We have to get out of here” Naruto helped Sasuke getting up “Oh, wait a sec Sasuke.” Naruto grabbed one of the pieces that remained from the flower “Just to show Kakashi-sensei we killed it.”


“You mean I killed.”


“Well…yeah…” Naruto frowned, Sasuke was right, he hated to admit it.


“Let’s go back” Sasuke said putting his arm around Naruto’s shoulders to be able to walk with his help.


“Yeah, I’m tired of being here.”


They both limped out of the crater and through the flower field. The sun was already setting so they instinctively knew that they were in danger of getting lost, but fortunately they needn’t to walk very much as the figures of Kakashi and Sakura fast-approached them.


“SASUKE-KUN!!!!!!” Sakura bellowed as she ran to Sasuke’s care.


Here we go… Naruto sighed at sight of Sakura. Sasuke seemed to be asleep. She grabbed his arm and held his face gently. Naruto felt invisible. Sakura didn’t even bother to ask if he was okay.


“Oh my God! You’re terribly hurt! How did this happen?!?”


“Well…” Naruto snarled very low. Sakura right away looked at him sharply.


“It was YOU! I bet you two fought again!!”


“Wha-….NO!!!C’mon! We found the flower and – SAKURA-CHAN!!!!” Sakura tried to punch Naruto out of anger and while avoiding it Naruto fell on top of Sasuke. “Sorry…” He breathed into Sasuke’s ear. He didn’t answer back. “Are…you…you ok?” Naruto asked lifting his face from the ground. His nose tip rubbed against Sasuke’s.


“What is it?! Did he get hurt?” Sakura asked preoccupied getting on her hands and knees to aid Sasuke. She noticed the closeness between them both. Almost as a natural reflect she pushed Naruto off of him. “GET OFF!!!”


“What the hell are you doing?! I was just checking to see if he was breathing!” Naruto answered back fiercely.


“Since when do you care if he’s breathing or not?!” Sakura sneered at Naruto as he looked bewildered at her attitude. She seemed very overprotective of Sasuke…well more than usual.


“Are you okay?” Kakashi asked very calmly. Naruto jumped at the sign of his voice…With the whole Sakura situation he didn’t even bother to say a word to his master.


“Yeah…yeah.” He answered back. “I found…I mean…we found the flower…together…but it was su…”


“I don’t need to hear the story right away Naruto” Kakashi said helping Naruto up. “I think that Sasuke is unconscious. Naruto help me take Sasuke to the Academy…” He instructed Naruto. Naruto went to pick him up, but Sakura was still sobbing over his body.


“GET OFF, SAKURA-CHAN!” Naruto screamed angrily at Sakura. He was only able to get near him. Naruto was finally capable to put Sasuke’s arm around his neck, Kakashi did the same and helped Naruto to carry Sasuke back to Konoha.


“I think we should take him to Tsunade baa-chan, he’s terribly hurt…”


“How can you talk about the Hokage-sama like that Naruto, have you got no manners?”


“Geeesh Sakura, You always find ways to criticise me damn it!”


“Hey, hey, we have to hurry, leave that talk for later. Naruto you’re right, we must get him straight to Godaime-sama, and you too need extra care, you're very badly hurt too, if it wasn’t for the power of the kyuubi you couldn’t even stand by now.”


Kyuubi? What’s that? Well, doesn’t matter. Sakura was walking behind them, staring at Sasuke’s back all the time with a depressing look on her face. Sasuke doesn’t like me at all, he always pushes me aside with that look, it almost cuts, it hurts so much… She felt water running down her cheeks, she didn’t notice she started to cry. She immediately wiped the tears of her face, she didn’t like to show anyone her true feelings, she was very busy trying to be someone else to let that happen.


“Are you alright Sakura-chan?” Naruto turned back at her, he could swear he heard a low cry, he was worried, even though Sakura was so harsh to him, but they were team mates.


“I’m fine Naruto.” She put on a fake smile on her face, trying to convince Naruto it was alright, and to convince herself too, in some way. “Thanks for worrying about me.”
