To Bend and to Break

hey all.

this is the first of a bunch of oneshots that i'd written back a while. they range in pairngs but we all know i love kakashi so looking back through the notebook i write in i assume that those will be posted when i feel motivated enough to type. I'm going to do something unusual for me and study for finals this year, i can normally do decent with out that effort but i want a summer internship and if i get a high enough mark i can get the job. (this is the only reason im not out on a friday) A chapter of my other story on this site Look at Me could be long in coming. but i may type up one of my happier KAKA/SAKU oneshots for yalls entertainment in between study periods to combat the angst in this one.

wish me luck on my final!

Effort. Love. Compassion. Forgiveness.

It’s all she ever had for him and although she knew that she should, she never regretted her accepting of his proposal. Even though people told her she was making a huge mistake and inside she knew she had. Sakura loved him. The dark haired man would always have her heart. Sasuke would never feel the same about her. She knew that. It wasn’t questionable. Since he had come back from the Sound he had been a shell: no longer a person. Killing his brother was still the only thing he lived for.

She lived with him. In his ghostly mansion of a lifeless compound, she had long since realized that as long as she lived he would never regard he as an equal. At 12 this was the life that she had dreamed of. To be the future Mrs. Uchiha: to marry her Sasuke-kun, such idealistic dreams she had had. Sakura snorted at her own pathetic existence, reality turned out to be far different from her imaginings. She found herself slowly slipping away from her interests and friends. Naruto. Kakashi. Ino. She hadn’t seen them since the engagement announcement. Just because Sasuke willed it.

“I have seen the way he looks at you.” He said referring to Naruto when she asked why. “He needs to understand that you are mine.” Her first reaction to that had been euphoria if she was completely honest with herself. It meant he cared. She had not wasted her life chasing the Uchiha. But in the months to come she would discover it wasn’t a love for her that he felt. Only his desire to posses her, to have her begging him to love her. Rationally after realizing this, any normal person would have packed their bags and left. But no one leaves Sasuke Uchiha, or at least Sakura Haruno never would.

That was how she had gotten to this point in her life. Wondering whether or not her friends cared that she had practically vanished. Where was Naruto? He was her best friend and he couldn’t even bother to find her when she hadn’t left her fiancé’s house in 2 months. He probably assumed that she was knocked up already. That Sasuke had set to work “reviving the clan” by now. That still didn’t explain why he hadn’t come to see her. Or why any of her friends hadn’t come around. They knew where Sasuke lived. The only explanation that occurred to her was that they truly didn’t care.

Sasuke was coming home from the recent mission he had been on. The contradicting battle of emotions came back to her. She was excited and yet she was dreading it. She loved him, but she hated him. She loved that spark with him, and at the same time she had to eventually face the fact that it had long ago blown out. Her paradox of a brain was slowing cutting into the last of her sanity. The inconsistency with which her logic worked was maddening.

She couldn’t love him. But she did. She had to see the problems. But she ignored them. He couldn’t care less about her. But that didn’t….. matter? ‘No, he did care.’ she told herself, no one would bother to guard her in the ridiculous manner he did if he didn’t care.

She walked out into the courtyard of the depressing compound. Sakura had so much time to herself nowadays she knew the silent houses like the back of her hand. That was another thing she would never adjust to about Sasuke’s home. The silence. She hated it. But it explained why the dark boy had been so depressed in his youth. If she had lived here all by herself when she was 12 she would have long since slit her own throat. She stared at the pond in the middle of the courtyard. The dark body of water was completely still, almost glass like. Sakura walked over to the surface and threw a rock on into the water. She watched with odd satisfaction as the water responded to the disturbance.

*.*.*.*.*.*.*.

Sasuke sat on the branch of a tree watching his future wife who seemed to be in deep thought. She was staring at the same pond he had looked at after the murder of his family, and her face held the same expression he had all those years ago. Sakura didn’t ever seem to be happy anymore. Sasuke was surprised to find that he felt bad about this realization. Was she hopeless like he had been? Sakura had no idea what he had been feeling after his brother had set him on his path. He realized just how defensive his last thought had been, Sakura had given up trying to pretend she knew his feelings years ago. She had not claimed to understand it was just his twisted brain arguing with in him. Yet the similarities of their expressions were undeniable.

He soundlessly approached the pink haired girl in a predatory manner. He stood behind her and slipped his around her possessively and she stiffened slightly but didn’t turn around. Rubbing her into his front. She moaned knowing what was to come. Another night of rough lustful sex. Because Sasuke didn’t know how to return her feelings. That was her answer when she asked herself why she stayed. She couldn’t fault him for something he wasn’t able to do.

He lifted her effortlessly, pushing her against a tree for leverage. This allowed him access to her neck. He kissed and sucked at the pale column leaving a harsh mark. He took of her traditional Uchiha kimono and continued his work down her chest as she moaned. She clawed at his hair and at his ANBU uniform. Soon they were naked against the tree in his backyard.

“Tell me who you belong to.” Sasuke growled positioning himself. Watching Sakura’s flushed face and heavy breathing. She caught her breath slightly and gasped.

“You. Always.” She groaned into his shoulder as he pushed in abruptly, because in the Uchiha’s mind foreplay was a waste of time. Gasping as he roughly changed his position hitting a new spot inside of her. The intensity of his stare only turned her on more then she thought possible. He pulled out and turned her around to force her back into the rough tree. Her soft skin scraping against the bark. Entering her again and again he grunted into her ear.

“Mine. Don’t forget it.” His harsh movements unyielding. This pushed her over the edge. White flashed behind her eyes and he quickly followed.

Because that is essentially what she was. His. To bend and to break. Her life would always be his. He was her life. A shell of a person or not she was bound to him. No matter how long the illogical thoughts in her head battled she knew which side would win.
