Naruto: Bird Mission

This story takes place in series before the Journey to the Land of Waves episodes. It’s based around the lame missions the team had before Naruto opened his big yap to the Hokage.

The young boy was quickly jumping from tree to tree, his blonde hair catching a twig, and other leaves in it. His orange ninja suit blurred highly noticeably in the treetops. “Naruto… It will easily spot you from up high.” said a very calm young male’s voice. Naruto looked down from the trees coming to a complete stop. He noticed his teammate leaning calmly against the very tree Naruto had came to a stop in.

“ Naruto… you have to think about what you’re doing. We’re on a mission to retrieve a pet bird that belongs to someone in vil…” Sasuke began to explain, but was cut off by Naruto’s hasty attitude.

“I know what we’re doing, Sasuke! I just thought that if I was up high, I could see the bird from a mile away!”

“Right. And bird would have seen you from an even greater distance. For once, could you use your entire brain when on a mission… not just the part that says (Sasuke says very dully): ’ I’m Naruto Uzumaki. I’m going to be the next Hokage. Believe it. Give me ramen.”

“I’m going to kick you butt, Sasuke, believe it! You think you can just sit up and make fun of me as you wish?”

A female’s voice broke between them. “Naruto! Leave Sasuke alone! He’s a much better ninja then you! - Right, Sasuke?”

Sakura turned a bright red as she looked the young male with dark hair up and down, awaiting his answer.

“Sakura. Shut up. You’re being so loud, that if the pet bird was near us, it would sure as hell is gone now.”

Sakura’s face got even hotter from embarrassment. Naruto just thought to himself, which he rarely would ‘Sakura is always taking his side. I’ll show her… I’ll show her I’ll be the gooder ninja then him!’

“…”

Sasuke just rolled his eyes. “You said that out loud.”

“I did?”

“And don’t you mean you’ll be a better ninja then me? Better. Not gooder…”

“…”

Sasuke glanced up, and took off through some bushes before emerging back with a small yellow parakeet.


The group returned back to the Hokage’s main office, where a young female that was about the estimated age of 4 held out her arms towards Sasuke, squealing in joy. “ Oh! There you are Duck Butt!” she cheered.
Naruto raised an eyebrow at this and started laughing. “Yeah! You’re right! His head does look like a duck’s butt!”

Sakura glared over at Naruto, cracking her knuckles. Her inner-Sakura shined brightly screaming profanity. She forced her glare harder onto Naruto. “That’s very immature of you!”

Sasuke just glared at the two of them, and said bluntly “She’s talking about her parakeet.”

The girl swooped her bird friend named “Duck-Butt” into her arms and left in a hurry.

Sasuke just walked out into the hallway, while Naruto glared at him. Sakura turned red, and headed in the opposite direction. Naruto finally lunged out of the office and took after Sasuke, but he tripped over his own feet being in such a hurry and went tumbling down the hall, rolling. His body crashed right into Sasuke’s backside, and Sasuke was dragged into the rolling rampage for several feet before they both came to a complete stop.

Naruto looked down, and saw he was laying on the top of Sasuke, and their noses were almost touching. A slightly unnoticeable pink blush flushed Naruto’s cheeks, as Sasuke just looked up at him. Sasuke then smirked.

“The last time I was this close to you, you kissed me.” he said.
Naruto recalled the other day when he was in class, and a friend bumped him into Sasuke, making the two kiss for a moment… he also recalls the beating the girls gave him.

“Ugh! That was an accident, and you know it! I’d never kiss you! The one I love is the GIRL! Not you! You…You… you jerk!”

Sasuke got a very faint smile on his face. “Oh, I see. You’re a scaredy cat.”

Naruto’s eyes widened. Sasuke never… NEVER smiled. “Me, a scaredy cat? Ha! As if, Sasuke!”

“Then prove it.”

Naruto blinked a few times, before glaring from side to side to make sure there were no girls around. “Fine! I’ll show you a ‘scaredy-cat!’

After confirming the close was clear, Naruto leaned down and pushed his lips to Sasuke’s. Sasuke slightly let his lips be pried open by Naruto’s eager tongue. Naruto had been wanting to do this again in the back of his mind, but did not want to admit to it when he realized it. Naruto’s tongue began swirling around in Sasuke’s mouth, as he kissed him deeply, and Sasuke’s tongue slyly worked it’s way into Naruto’s mouth. Naruto had his eyes closed shut, but he felt a hand at the back of his head caress him gently. Sasuke brushed his hand over the back of Naruto’s head, pulling Naruto down onto him more-so. Naruto blushed very red now, before pulling back almost immediately. He felt something pinch at his butt, so he turned around quickly to see nothing. Sasuke had both his hands in his pockets again, laying down glaring up at Naruto.

“Are you going to get off of me, or am I going to have to throw you off?”

“Wha? I was just showing you I’m no Scaredy-cat!”

Sasuke glared and shoved Naruto off, before standing and walking towards the exit. Naruto blinked a few times in total confusion before Sasuke turned around right before leaving the building.

“If you ever try what you did just then again, I’ll kill you.” Sasuke said. He turned around and left, leaving Naruto in total shock and confusion. Sasuke though to himself as he left, “I can’t let him think he just got a free kiss in on me.. I have to maintain control. Otherwise he’ll go blabbing to the entire village.”

After a few moments, Naruto saw Iruka-sensei walk by. “Iruka-sensei!”

Iruka smiled down at his student. “Hey Naruto! I was just about to head to the Ichiraku Ramen shop! Would you care to join me? My treat!”

…Need I say more? The two left to the Ramen Stand, and Naruto told his sensei about his day… well… most of it anyways.
