Splintered

It is always a mistake the next morning.

When they sober up, aching, and nauseous and the inevitable
shame and awkwardness materialize, it is a mistake.

When they make their separate ways, there are no words spoken
or apologies made. Clothes are collected, showers are taken and the day moves
on. Mistakes are mistakes, every human makes them, they
both know this. Even if it is the same one repeated time and
time again.

It is never a mistake the night of.

It is never a mistake when they leave the bar together, not
even attempting to be discreet anymore. Not when he greedily takes her in the
alleyway, quick, rough and dirty, because he knows she likes it that way.

Not when he walks her home and stays the entire night.

Not when she pins him down with her extreme chakra control
and tauntingly strokes his length, not letting him touch her until he comes in
her hand with some male humility to boot.

Not when he pushes her down on all fours in front of a
mirror to make her watch her own face twist in desire.

It is never a mistake then.

When she calls him ‘Sensei’ while pinned below begging for
more, he can’t imagine why it would ever be a mistake.

When she makes him beg for release as she teases him with
her tongue, she can’t ever see it as being a mistake.

It is only a mistake when reality comes back.

When she is alone, and knows she enslaved to an unrequited
infatuation for a boy who will probably never come back despite herself.

When he is alone, full of nothing but memories and finding
escape in the same outlandish romance novels.

It is only then it is a mistake. And they wouldn’t want it
any other way.
