Chapter 1
“N-no please d-don’t”
“That’ll teach you a lesson not to mess with me”
"I learned my lesson!" gasp "please "
“You promise?…”
“Aa-h! Okay! Okay!”
“Good… Here, take your so called life-sustaining material” Kiba looked at the item with disgust before he threw the whole bag filled with dozens of Instant ramen into the air and Naruto ran to grab them before it hits the ground.
“Kiba y-you horrible excuse of a ‘mans best friend’!” Naruto yelled and proceed to check his beloved food for any damage.
“Arf!” Akamaru barked in defense of his master.
Kiba rolled his eyes. “I reaaly don’t see why you love the stuff to death. Well I’m off”
“Meanie!” Naruto stuck out his pink tongue at Kiba’s back and got a retreating ‘finger’ from the dog loving boy in return who is already walking another direction.
Naruto pouted cutely and continued his way home. A small smile began to form upon his now sharper features as his thoughts flashed back a few moments ago. He ran into Kiba just a few metres away from his frequented supermart after purchasing the necessary supplies and they both walked together while chatting amiably about what they did during those few days they had not seen each other. Then Kiba had decided to ask Naruto for his opinion on something and hoped to get a decent advice from the blond boy.
*Flashback*
“N-naruto”
“Hmm?” Naruto raised an eye brow at his friend’s stuttering who is now, apparently sporting a slight blush on his cheeks. Several emotions fled across the dog-boy’s face as he tried to muster up his gut to spill out whatever it is to Naruto. Naruto had the feeling it must have been something pretty important to Kiba to give this much thought about it so he decided to give his friend some form of reassurance.
“You can tell me anything ya know?”
“I know that. Well its um.. have you ever, fall in love?” Naruto smirked at this.
“You are in love with Hinata-chan aren’t ya!”
Kiba got wide eyed as never before “how did you know?!”
Naruto laughed out loud. “You should see yourself when you’re around that girl” The beloved prankster let out another laugh before teasing his brunette friend in a sing-a-song tune to ‘Kiba LOVE Hinata’
“Naruto!” Kiba jumped at the smaller blond to shut the boy up who is now repeating the love confession while running along the street for all of Konoha to hear!
After a couple of minutes, Kiba caught up to the boy and threatened to let Akamaru have his way with the bag of ramens if Naruto spilled it to anyone about this. Kiba is just not ready to face a pissed of overprotective Neji at his door step. The Hyuugas are one of the best bloodlines known to mankind and he wanted to make sure he could prove himself worthy of Hinata before confessing his feelings for the sweet girl. At the meantime he’ll just have to keep ANYONE’S hands of her until then.
“Alright! I won’t say anything to anyone. Promise” Naruto said with a serious face.
“I’m serious”
“So am I” Naruto’s failed attempt at seriousness is giving way to his mouth that is threatening to twitch upwards on the corner.
“Naruto!”
“Okay!”
Kiba gave Naruto another skeptical look before handing the plastic bag back to the blond. Naruto took the bag gladly and couldn’t resist but gave into his playful self yet again. “Maybe I’ll just..” at that Kiba snatched the bag of ramen and dangled the item above Akamaru’s opened mouth.
“You’ll what?”
End of flashback
Naruto felt happy for Kiba and Hinata but somehow he couldn’t help but felt some teeny weenie twinge of jealousy towards them, and to any other of his friends who had managed to fall in love and have that someone to love them back. Hell Neji got Gaara! It wasn’t like that for Naruto though. He did loved someone but that someone wouldn’t love him back. Well, not the way the blond wanted him to. That’s right. Him. Naruto is in love with a guy. A male. One of God’s creation with a dick. Kapeesh?
Naruto sighed at his crappy lovelife. He always got this tingly feeling around his insides when they bickered. He couldn’t help but felt a slight excitement despite throwing threats, insults and curses at each other. He couldn’t help but admire for the other’s skill and abilities. He couldn’t help but loved the feel of silky dark strands that glides over his skin unintentionally during their spars. He couldn’t help but appreciate the perfection of the other’s contours of lean muscles that rippled throughout the six foot two body. He couldn’t keep himself from prolonging the eye contact into the other’s pair of intense onyx eyes longer than he should. He couldn’t help but chocking on his saliva when he looked up to see the owner of those pair of onyx eyes standing in front of the doorstep to his average apartment.
“Hn. Dobe”
