You Cannot See Love
You Cannot See love
Naruto walked down the familiar street. The street lamps cast rays of light onto the pavement. The moon shone only half in the sky; you could not clearly see stars because of the city lights which illuminated the sky to a certain degree. It was cold and Naruto could see his breath as he breathed. He could feel the cold air chill his windpipe and he breathed in and out in an even intervals. In. Out. In. Out. He watched his clouds of breath as they arose from his mouth and disappeared into thin air. Breath is a funny thing; you would not know it was there unless it was a cold night such as tonight. Naruto thought to himself. Actually, there are lots of things that are there that you can’t see. He thought. You cannot see heat, you cannot see cold, you cannot see thoughts, you cannot see feelings, yet they are all there. You cannot see love but it exists… I think so anyways… Not that I would know. He concluded shoving his cold hands deep within his pockets and leaning foreword walking against the wind.
In the background you could hear a bell on the door of a store ringing informing the store owner that someone was present and awaiting service. Naruto approached the store hesitantly. He looked up at the sign “Broadway Tattoo and Piercing” He read aloud. Just the thought of needles gave Naruto a chill down his spine. He was sure he wanted this done, however. He had been saving for awhile. Naruto pulled the wad of cash out of his pocket and began counting. “Ten, fifteen, thirty-five, forty-five, fifty, seventy.” He inhales and blew out another long cloud breath as he entered the warmth of the store, the bell on the door ringing and he stepped inside.
Naruto stepped in and looked around. There were posters all over the walls of different piercing and tattoos. There were rock band posters and there were a few chairs along the wall next to a table with a bunch of Rolling Stone magazines on a rack below it. There were four doors along the left wall of the store; behind one you could hear the buzzing of a tattoo needle working away to permanently ink someone’s skin. There was the Drowning Pool song playing called “Let the Bodies Hit the Floor”

Naruto looked at the display of different rings; earrings, nose rings, lip rings, bellybutton rings, eyebrow rings, and a few Naruto had no clue what they were, nor was he sure he even wanted to know.
“Hello? Can I help you?” said a voice sounding a bit impatient.
Naruto looked up to see a man with white-purple eyes and long brown hair tied back into a ponytail. He looked about Naruto’s age, he was wearing a Blood Brothers Sweatshirt covered in various types of patched and clothes pins. He had his right eyebrow pierced and his bottom lip was pierced on the left. His eyes scrutinized Naruto.
Naruto cleared his throat; “I came here to get my lip pierced.” He said sounding a bit unsure.
“You don’t sound so confident about your decision.” Said Neji as he analyzed Naruto’s facial expression.
“I’m confident in it.” said Naruto trying to sound more comfortable with his decision.
“Alright” said Neji shrugging his shoulders. “Just fill out this release form stating that we are not responsible for any poor aftercare resulting in an infection or worse and yadda yadda yadda, standard procedures of course.”
Or worse? Thought Naruto gripping the pen. “Alright.” He said signing the release form.
“Great, now where are you piercing, side or labret?” asked Neji.
“Bottom left” responded Naruto.
“Alright come over here and we’ll pick out a lip ring” said Neji guiding him over the glass display case and taking out display of lip rings.
“That one should be fine” Said Naruto pointing to a 22 gauge silver lip ring.
“Alright, I’ll go put this in some alcohol to sterilize and have our piercer Sasuke come out and tell you how this is gonna go down” said Neji as he took the lip ring out of the display and walked through the back door.
Naruto sat down in a chair and stared at the door that read “Employees Only” and waited patiently.

A/N: So there’s my attempt at starting a good story. I’m not too sure of it right now so I will post more of the story tonight based on the amount of feed back I get. If you really like it and think this story has potential then give me feed back on it otherwise I will not post more of this story. So, GIVE ME FEED BACK IF YOU WANT MORE OF THE STORY TONIGHT. Alrighttt? And I’m also looking for a beta if anyone’s interested :]
