Personal Trainer

Chapter 1:

Iruka Umino shifted his weight as he sat kneeling on the king sized bed. He did this with extreme care, as his balance was already precarious due to the fact that his wrists were bond behind his back. They had been tied with fabric, not rope, and they weren’t tied so tight as to hurt him or even cause him much discomfort. Still, there was no way he could undo them, and he imagined trying to sit back up if he fell down would be an awkward experience.

Then again, this past week had been full of awkward experiences.

For the past nineteen years of his life, as far back as he could remember, Iruka had lived in a small farming town. His parents had died when he was just an infant, and his father’s brother and his wife had taken him in. His aunt and uncle had made no secret of the fact that they thought his mother had been from inferior stock and thus so was he. They had turned young Iruka into a servant as soon as he was able to walk. Every day of his life had been one of work, from sunup to sundown. It was a difficult life, and a lonely one, but it certainly wasn’t a life that inspired surprise. Which was more than he could say for his current life.

In just one week, his entire world had been turned upside down. He had been out in the yard hanging the laundry when he noticed a regal-looking woman standing at the fence, watching him. She was tall and blond and well dressed. Obviously a rich lady. Iruka had paused in his work, wondering if she was lost or needed something, when the lady called out to him.

“You there.” She said. “What is your name?”

“It’s Iruka Umino.” He had answered, amazed that she would want to know. Never in his life had anyone from outside his family paid the slightest bit of attention to him, but amazingly the lady was now beckoning him over to her. Uncertainly, he left his work and went to her.

“Iruka Umino.” She rolled his name around on her tongue as if trying to see how it tasted. “How old are you, Iruka?”

“Um, nineteen.” He said this uncertainly, as if he was suddenly not sure if it was right or not. Something about this woman made him uncomfortable.

“Are you married? Do you have any children?” she asked.

Iruka laughed. He didn’t mean to be rude; it was such just an absurd question. No one in this small town had any interest in him thanks to his mother’s background. He was more likely to grow a second head than to ever have someone of his own. This thought sobered him, and he quickly shook his head in answer.

“Hmmm.” The lady continued to study him thoughtfully. Iruka flushed under her gaze. Then as abruptly as she had came the lady left, continuing down the street towards the main end of town. For a moment Iruka just stared after her. What had that been about? Why was she curious about him? Then he remembered the laundry, which still lay near the clothesline, unfinished, and he hurried back to complete his chore. He had many tasks to do today and he had to get them finished if he wanted to eat supper that night. He spent the rest of the day working nonstop, and was soon too busy and tired to wonder about the incident again.

That is until three days later, when his aunt called him into the main room of their shabby farmhouse. He had hurried in from the kitchen where he was washing the floor and stopped in shock. The lady from the fence was there! She was sitting on the couch looking distastefully at the cup of tea his aunt had served her. Next to her was a slender dark haired young woman holding a small pink pig of all things. Leaning against wall near the door was a bored looking blond man chewing on a toothpick. Sitting across from the lady was his uncle.

“Iruka! Stop standing there like an idiot! Introduce yourself to our guests properly!” His aunt said with only a touch of the usual venom she displayed whenever she spoke to Iruka.

Iruka quickly bowed low. “How do you do. I am Iruka. Welcome to my uncle’s home.”

The lady inclined her head slightly to the side. “Hello Iruka. I am Tsunade. This is my assistant, Shizune,” she indicated to the dark haired woman beside her, “and this is Genma, a member of my security team.” The blond man at the wall lifted a hand in greeting but didn’t actually look in their direction.

“Iruka,” his uncle spoke. Neither he nor his aunt seemed to want to look him in the eye. “Lady Tsunade is a respected business woman. She has come to us looking to employ you.”

Tsunade seemed amused by his uncle’s little speech. “Actually Iruka, the business I own is one of the finest brothels in Konoha. And I have not come to “employ” you; I have purchased you from your uncle. From this day forward you belong to me.”

Iruka felt the color drain from his face. Surely this couldn’t be happening. This had to be some weird dream he was having…right?

Tsunade suddenly paused. “You do know what a brothel is, right?”

“Of course!” Despite the seriousness of the situation, Iruka couldn’t help but feel insulted. He wasn’t an idiot after all.

“Oh good.” Tsunade smiled. “I just wanted to be sure since your uncle assured me that you’re a virgin.”

At these words the seriousness of the situation returned to Iruka and hit him like a ton of bricks. Yes, he was a virgin; he had never so much as kissed another person, but if this lady had her way he wouldn’t be for long. He looked desperately to his uncle, but his uncle refused to meet his eye. Neither would his aunt.

“You…you can’t do this! You can’t sell another person! There are laws!” Iruka’s mind was racing now. Somehow he had to get himself out of this situation. He took a step back towards the kitchen. Out of nowhere, the blond haired man appeared at his side and took his arm in an unbreakable grasp.

“Now, now! There’s no reason to be scared! I’m not a cruel person. I’ll treat you very well. Better than you have been, judging from what I’ve seen so far.” Tsunade said in a soothing tone. Beside her Shizune began to root through a small bag.

“No! I won’t do this! Let me go!” Iruka tried to pull away from Genma but the man had an iron grip; no matter how hard he struggled he couldn’t get free. Suddenly Shizune was at his other side holding a funny smelling cloth to his nose. Almost immediately Iruka felt himself fall unconscious. As darkness closed around him, his last thought was once again, “This can’t be happening.”

………………………………................................................................................................

When Iruka woke up, he was alone. He was lying on a long upholstered seat in a small sunny room. His hands and feet were bound. Carefully, he swung himself into a sitting position. Looking out the small window, he saw the scenery rushing by and realized that he was on a train. That meant he was already far from home; his town was too small to warrant a train stop.

“How long have I been asleep?” he wondered aloud to himself.

“Three days.” Answered a cheerful voice. Iruka spun around as best as he could towards the door of the compartment. Shizune was standing there, once again holding that small pig.

“Good, you’re up! I was starting to worry; you reacted to the drug so strongly. How do you feel? Are you groggy at all?” As Shizune spoke, she closed the door behind her and set the small pig down; it immediately hopped up on the seat next to Iruka.

“I…I feel fine.” Iruka said, and it was true; his head had begun to clear the minute he sat up. “Where are we?”

“We are roughly one day away from the village of Konoha.” Shizune answered. She sat down beside the pig. “By tomorrow night you will be able to see your new home.”

All of Iruka’s fears returned to him in one fell swoop.

“This is really happening, isn’t it? My family…they really sold me.”

“Yes,” Shizune spoke in a sympathetic voice. “They did. I’m sorry Iruka. This must be very frightening for you. But I promise you things aren’t so bad.” She grasped his bound hands in her own. “Iruka, Lady Tsunade is a kind lady, really. She will make sure that you are treated well. At your new home, no one will beat you or starve you. We won’t even work you to exhaustion like your family did.” As Shizune said this she tapped on one of the many calluses on his hands. “You’re going to be one of our new princesses Iruka. I promise you will enjoy this life once you get used to this.”

Iruka tilted his head curiously. “Princess?”

“Well yes.” Shizune let out a little laugh. “It seems a more appropriate word to use than prince seeing as how you will only be serving men.”

Iruka’s eyes widened. “Men do…that with other men?” he asked, amazed. His entire knowledge of sex consisted of what he had overheard some of his cousins talking about, and he was certain none of them had ever mentioned that!

Shizune laughed again. “You really did come from a small town! Yes Iruka, men often enjoy the company of other men. Does that bother or scare you?”

Iruka thought about it for a moment before shaking his head. Really it didn’t seem so odd to him when he thought about it. And the thought of having sex with strange men didn’t scare him anymore than the thought of having sex with strange women. The real problem was the thought of having sex with strangers, period.

He told Shizune this.

“Don’t worry,” she said. “We aren’t going to put you to work for a while. For the next month you will be trained by one of our partners. Only after you have learned what you need to know and feel comfortable will you entertain clients.” She patted his arm reassuringly and stood up. “Wait here with TonTon. I’ll bring you something to eat.” After she left the pig (TonTon he presumed) hopped into his lap and curled up for a nap. Iruka smiled at this. He was feeling a lot calmer now; Shizune’s words had cut through his panic. Some of what she said had even made sense to him. The simple fact was that he wasn’t sorry to be leaving his family. They had treated him like dirt all his life. And it would be nice not to have to kill himself with chores just to earn the right to eat a meager meal.

Still he felt afraid. And nervous. He just couldn’t understand why Lady Tsunade had chosen him for this kind of work when he so…homely was a kind way to put it. Everyone in his family had agreed he was ugly; he had his late mother’s warm coloring, and he was small and scrawny. Then there was the matter of the large scar across his nose that he had had all his life. He couldn’t imagine that this partner Shizune spoke of would do anything other than take one look at him and demand the job be assigned to someone else, someone with perhaps poorer eyesight maybe.

Iruka tried to relax the rest of the journey. Shizune was right; Lady Tsunade was a kind person underneath all her bravado. Even Genma seemed nice, and he apologized for grabbing Iruka’s arm so roughly back at the farm. Iruka assured him that it was all right.

When the train finally arrived at Konoha Genma unbound his arms and legs.

“I trust you won’t try to run.” He said around the ever-present toothpick in his mouth.

Even if Iruka had thought he could get away from Genma (and he didn’t), his first site of the village of Konoha would have wiped away any such thoughts. The village was big! He had never seen anything like it! In fact, he stayed extra close to Shizune as Lady Tsunade led them through the crowd, afraid that if he got lost in this sea of people he would never be found.

After walking a few miles away from the main center of town the scenery became quiet. They were taking a paved road through the woods; Iruka didn’t see any houses or other people for a long time. He was getting tired. Suddenly they turned a corner and in front of them was a large beautiful building, surrounded by cherry trees and neat, well-tended gardens.

Lady Tsunade smiled as she looked at Iruka’s amazed expression. “Welcome to your new home.”

………………………………................................................................................................

Things got a little blurry for Iruka after that. He had been led inside; many people came forward to greet Tsunade, Shizune and Genma. After a few moments of this Shizune had taken him away from everyone else and shown him to the biggest bath he had ever seen. She gave him instructions to wash up while she fetched him something to sleep in.

By the time she came back Iruka had scrubbed himself clean. Putting on the garments she had brought him, he could do little more than sleepily follow as she led him to the room of the man who would be training him.

“Rest now, and you’ll meet your trainer in a little bit.” She said as she closed the door behind her. Iruka’s sleepy mind noted that it was still just early afternoon, but his body wanted sleep anyway. The curtains were drawn in the room, so it was quiet and dark. Iruka was asleep as soon as he lay down on the huge bed in the corner of the room.

Hours later, Iruka awoke to the sound of the door being opened. The curtains were still drawn but he could tell by the quality of the light in the room that it was night now. He sat up, now wide awake with his heart beating fast.

“It’s just me Iruka.” Came Shizune’s cheerful voice. “Come with me, we have some work to do.”

Iruka followed her. First she took him to the kitchen for a meal; Iruka noted in the back of his mind that it was the best food he had ever eaten. Then she took him to what she called the wardrobe room. There she and another woman by the name of Kurenai proceeded to “fix him up a little” in their words.

His teeth were brushed; the sleep was cleaned out of his eyes; and his long hair was brushed and put up in a simple knot at the nape of his neck. Kurenai dressed him in a beautiful light flowered robe and Shizune bound his hands. The she led him back to the room he had slept in and had him kneel on the bed. Candles and moonlight now lit the room. Someone had opened the curtains and straightened the bed clothes while he was gone.

“Wait here like this,” Shizune said, “and the next person you see will be the man who is going to train you.” She gave him a wink and left. That had been ten minutes ago and there was still no sign of his trainer. Hence the careful shifting. Just as Iruka was starting to wonder if his trainer was ever going to show up the doorknob of the room was turned and the door swung open.

Iruka looked as the man who would mould his future walked into the room.
