Disclaimer:
I do not own Naruto, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Rapture
This is kinda dark and morbid. I wrote this trying to kill off some of my writer's block for my InuKag fic. I love KakaSaku, really I do. But this song just kinda demanded I write this. By the way.. normally, I hate song fics, and I skip over the songs entirely... but I wouldn't reccomend it in this story.
It's not the best thing I have ever written, but maybe someone will like it?
. . .
He stood on the roof overlooking the slumbering village. There was such tranquility in the night, a calm that blanketed the area, and letting everyone sleep on in peace. The scene before him was at complete odds with what he felt inside. And he knew come morning, the peace that was felt under the star strewn sky would be shattered as well.
He longed for the numbness to return. The dullness that had taken over was a comfort; it was so much better than everything he felt right now. His insides seared with the pain of betrayal and hate, anger coiled deep within his belly and sorrow clenched his throat. His fists tightened and his muscles flexed against the inner turmoil he was feeling. He couldn’t remember the last time he had ever wanted to vomit this badly.
Where?
Where had it gone so horribly wrong? How could all the lines that he followed so staunchly become so blurred, how did he lose sight of his straight and narrow? Was he really that weak?
Of course he was.
In the life of the wrong a love lingered on,
Love lingered on to frustration.
And if our love is so wrong, what should we do alone?
Or am I just a picture in a photograph?
Why are we stuck in this pantomime fearing a god who died?
One who would not deny lovers?
And I don't care what they say, if what you need is your faith,
Then take a look at my face and know
It was wrong, he knew it was wrong, she knew it was wrong, and it didn’t stop them. Neither knew when it started, nor did they care. A passion escalated between them and soon they went from furtive glances and surreptitious caresses to impassioned kisses and deeper darker things. They couldn’t bring themselves to care about all of the taboo’s they were breaking as their skin met in a heated embrace. Her soft, sweet lips on his skin were sinful laps of fire. The way she tasted was like forbidden fruit, and the cries she gave when he did that thing with his tongue, they were like the seraphim song, not meant for the ears of man.
The petal soft skin that slid against his own was enough to make him think that maybe this wasn’t as wrong as everyone believed. The girl above him was a fallen angel, and the forbidden pleasures she was giving him made him want to believe in a heaven and even a God.
That till your rapture falls to pieces
Until your rapture falls to pieces
Find in me the room to breathe,
Simple things like suffering
“Kakashi’” She breathed, rocking franticly above him.
He knew that she needed him, she needed his help. She had always needed assistance, in everything, but this did not mean he was unhappy to oblige. He sat up easily, and braced himself on one side with his arm. He balanced there with her straddling his hips, using both his arm and legs for leverage as he began to pump into her ferociously. His other hand stayed in a bruising grip at her hip as he pulled her down harshly to meet each of his thrusts. Both her tiny hands gripped at him tightly, hanging on for all she was worth.
“Oh-oh. OH. Ka-ka-ahh. Hnn.”
He growled as he pumped harder, he could feel her slipping over the edge. The way his name fell brokenly from her lips as she rode him brought him higher than any other woman had ever even tried. He could never understand it, everything was just better with her.
He groaned as her nails dug into his flesh, the pain only intensifying the pleasure as he worked his way to oblivion. She gave a keening cry above him that he managed to cover with his own mouth as he surged forward to silence her when she came. Her rippling walls tugged him over the edge that he had been teetering on himself, and he released into her with broken thrusts, fighting to prolong his delicious end.
Life had gone this way
Life is gone this way
She sat huddled under a tree, knees pulled tightly against her chest. The pink haired girl was normally so radiant, but now she seemed dull, almost grey. Her slumped form stiffened as she heard him approach, his soft ‘Yo’ going unanswered as he plopped down beside her. He waited patiently for her to say something to him, he could quite clearly tell she was upset, and he was here once again to rescue her from pain. When Sakura finally looked at him his heart stopped in his chest, the fear that etched her emerald eyes shook him to the core.
Still in the life of the wrong we all moved along
Another life evolved to gestation
And so we made our way with the mistake we made
But she was just a picture from a photograph
He wanted so desperately to protect her from all the taunts and jeers. They had faded with time until she started to show. Her great rounded belly proof of their sins. This would be hard, so many frowned upon it. But it wasn’t like Kakashi really cared what others thought of him. No. But Sakura did. Naruto hadn’t talked to Sakura since he found out. As far as he was concerned, she was dead too. Sasuke couldn’t give his disapproval as he had died fighting Itachi. But Kakashi imagined the Uchiha would show nothing but the utmost contempt for the pair had he been around.
Tsunade had stopped Sakura’s training immediately and didn’t allow for her to take any missions. Kakashi was limited to C-rank missions, and he was lucky to be thrown those. After the birth of the child there was to be some serious ass kickings for both the lovers, but until then there was a kind of tenuous peace allotted the pair. At least as far as their Hokage was concerned. The rest of the village was a different story entirely.
But as time wore on things seemed to turn for the better. Despite the continuous heckling of the villagers Sakura seemed to be in higher spirits. The pair had spent a lot of time together as they were nearly the only company they could keep. Ino and her old team were somewhat sympathetic to the pair, even though Ino was not particularly fond of Kakashi anymore. Hinata was surprisingly venomous in a subdued manner, no doubt sticking up for Naruto. None of that mattered to Kakashi, he loved Sakura, he came to that conclusion little by little and was awestruck with the realization, he would have shied from the feelings if the situation had not gone the way it had. As it was he was content to love Sakura openly and even be excited for his new child. He was overjoyed as she let herself love him in return, and in spite of all their trials they were happy together.
:-:-:-:-:-:
When the baby was born there was an uproar in the village. Some who had greatly disapproving of the couple actually relented upon seeing the beautiful child, and others seemed to grow even more hateful. Naruto and Hinata were in the later group, as well as Neji, Lee, Tenten, Kiba, and a few others as well. It was hard to believe how much distaste everyone took to the matter. In the end it was done, the baby was born, and everyone should have moved on. Kakashi was angry with everyone who was self righteous enough to condemn their child and their love. Sakura and the baby deserved to be treated better, and if things didn’t improve soon there was going to be a new reason to fear the Copy-nin.
Yet, after all the commotion, Sakura seemed unaffected. She seemed entranced with the tiny baby. It really was a beautiful child and Kakashi was proud. Delicate pale skin was accented by snowy white hair, and soft chubby baby features. The child was unmistakably like his father, save for his startling green eyes. The baby, named Raito, was a blessing in disguise for Kakashi; he smiled fondly as he stared at Sakura, playing happily with the cooing baby in her arms. Things would get better, he knew it. Times would be hard for now, and in the future Raito would deal with a lot of difficulties from the fickle village, but he would be undoubtedly strong like his father and mother.
Sighing contentedly the Sharingan user turned back to pages of his old Icha Icha book, his worn companion welcoming him back after a period of neglect. The Copy-nin had briefly foregone the series while otherwise occupied, but when Sakura stopped letting him touch her too intimately he had to resort to other means of release. He wouldn’t complain though, she was just getting used to being a mother, his needs could wait for now. Though, he hoped he wouldn’t have to do too much more waiting.
So she walked in the baby's room
Knowing what she should do leave me in
Absolute horror
She put her hand on its lip she gave it
One last kiss
And sang some tune that went
Until your rapture falls to pieces
Till your rapture falls to pieces
Find in me the room to breathe,
Simple things are suffering
Kakashi lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, completely content. He and Sakura had made love more passionate and intense than he had ever experienced in his life. He literally yelled when he came, it was that good. He was completely spent, but unable to sleep until Sakura came back to bed and into his arms. She had gone into the other room to check on Raito, and that had been a few minutes ago.
Begrudgingly he hefted himself out of bed. He had to check if everything was okay, and also to retrieve Sakura so they could finally lay in bed together, enjoying the comfort of each other’s embrace. He knew that she was probably just holding the baby and rocking it gently, as she was wont to do.
When he padded into the room Sakura was sitting in the rocking chair, staring at the crib. Kakashi walked over to kiss the little tyke goodnight. Raito was lying peacefully in the crib, still and quiet. It must have been the moonlight, but to Kakashi, the boy’s already pale skin, looked even paler. When he pressed his lips to the baby’s forehead the skin felt cold. Too cold.
Kakashi went to pick up the baby to see what was wrong, stopping as he lifted the rigid little body. His heart seized in his chest. It couldn’t be. Pulling the baby to his chest, he rocked it gently, trying to wake him from a slumber that was far too deep.
“Raito”
He called gently.
The baby was still. Kakashi felt sick, as he turned to Sakura. Tears filled his eyes as he looked pleadingly at her. Sakura still sat staring at the crib. For the first time Kakashi got a good look at her, her face was drawn and tired looking, and her emerald eyes seemed distant. Clutched in her hands was a small pillow, one from Raito’s crib.
“Sakura” Kakashi said sternly.
Slowly the pink haired woman looked at him, as if realizing he was there for the first time. Her eyes fell on the baby in his arms, and they grew impossibly wide. Her hands tightened on the pillow in her lap as she continued to rock back and forth. Kakashi felt numb. He realized what had happened. The look on her face, the pillow in her hand, they were all indicative of the truth. She had smothered the baby.
And I would and I would, destroy your god
Yes I would if I could destroy your god
Because you're born again
Until you're worn again,
Until your rapture falls to pieces
Till your rapture falls to pieces
Find in me the room to breathe,
Sinful things like suffering
Till your rapture falls to pieces
Till your rapture falls to pieces
But, if this must be, then burn with me
Anything
Just don't leave
So find in me the room to breathe
Sinful things like suffering
Till your rapture falls to pieces
Kakashi stood on the roof, his entire being aching with the pain of all that had happened that night. His heart felt as if it had been cut from his chest, and shredded into little ribbons.
The night was horrifying, more so than anything he had ever encountered on any mission. The morbid actions of Sakura would haunt him forever. As would the sight of her maimed and lifeless body, which was the first thing that he saw when the numbness receded and the blackness faded from his vision.
She swore she heard the voice of Jesus
Telling her it was wrong to keep it
And one more thing, it looked like me
Back when it breathed
Rest in peace
Until the rapture comes to meet us
Now he stood, bloody and waiting for daylight. Waiting for everyone to wake, and get what they had wanted all along.
There was no more Raito, and there was no more Kakashi and Sakura.
It's not the best thing I have ever written, but maybe someone will like it?
