Afraid of the fall
Afraid of the fall.
This is my first story so try to be somewhat gentle. I probably have a lot of grammar mistakes. please forgive them.

After Sasuke left, everything changed for me. I was heartbroken of course, I did have a crush on him since I was little. He's the reason me and Ino arent friends anymore. you know, now that I think about it, that was probably the stupidest reason to give up a perfectly good friendship. I can't say my life has been really exciting, besides the fact that Sasuke betrayed us, my life really hasn't been that important. I finally gave Naruto a try, he's changed, we got married. I was happy of course, Naruto's a great guy, but i don't think Naruto was ever really happy.
One night i heard him whisper Sasuke's' name in his sleep. I wasn't mad, no, I knew Naruto loved him. It killed Naruto when Sasuke left. I have been wondering lately, who Naruto would chose if it was between me or Sasuke. I ended up finding out sooner than I thought I would.
We ran into Sasuke on a routine mission, we weren't even looking for him this time but that's how things usually work out, right? You don't look for it and you find it. Naruto started it all, being the person he was, launched the first attack. Naruto went for sasuke, Kakashi went for Orochimaru, and I went for Kabuto. Kabuto and myself were over by a cliff, stupid place to fight right? Yeah, to bad I didn't notice till to late. My foot slipped on the edge as i fell I saw Kabuto go over to help Orochimaru.
I was only holding on to the very edged of the cliff, I was trying to find anything that i could pull myself up with. Then I heard the shuffle of sand above me, I looked up in time to see Sasuke fly over the edge. He grabbed on to the ledge as he was falling. He didn't even acknowledge me and started to try and pull himself up like I was. Then all of the sudden there was a loud cracking sound, the fighting above stopped suddenly, everything went eerily silent. There was a sudden downward shift of the rock, both sasuke and I were just barely hanging on after.
I looked up to yell for someone to help when I saw Naruto's face peer over the side, and look down at us. I was relieved, i expected him to pull me up quickly, the rock was starting to slip further down due to his wight. I called out to him but he didn't look at me, just Sasuke. As the rock slipped down even more dust fell into my eye's. I shock my head from side to side trying to get it out. I heard Kakashi yell at Naruto to pull me up, but all he did was look back and forth between Sasuke and me.
With the rock cutting into our hands we were both going to fall soon. As if the rock heard my thoughts it jerked one more time and both mine and Sasuke's hands slide off. I reached out my hand for Naruto to take. I saw Narutos hand shoot out ....... grabing Sasukes hand. As the wind whistled past me I saw naruto pull Sasuke up to safety. That was the last thing I remember, as my back slammed into the ice covered stream 300ft. below the cliffs edge.
