She didn't know why she continued to do it, year after year. It wasn't like anything was going to change. She would crest the hill and it would lay before her pitted and crumbling, with weeds choking the once bustling streets and wild animals rooting about in the houses where once happy families had lived. Blackened craters would continue to mark the places where she had chatted with her friends marring the beauty of the once great village. Konoha was dead, and the sooner she came to accept this fact the sooner Sakura could get on with her life and try to survive it.
