Chapter 1
Evening Song
"Tsk, another victim..." The man dressed in the burly coat said in dissapointment. Looking down at the small body covered with a piece of tarp, it made Konohamaru's inside churn. Blood staining the dull tatami mats and a hint of semen tingled his nose. "When is inspector Uzumaki going to get here?"
"He's coming a bit late today, he had some errands with the Hokage." Konohamaru replies. The evening cicadas schreeches signaled the final days of summer and reminding the boy that the Blue Moon festival was only 3 weeks away. "So what happened this time?"
"Hrm...we got a 12 year old male, name is Koichi Nakaru. Parents, none, lived with his aunt who is currently in the tea country on buisness." The man says grimmly. Taking down notes on a small pad of paper, Konohamaru stares down once more. "Injuries...3 large scars on his face, and two bite wound on his neck."
"Like the previous victims..." The boy says under his breath clenching his notepad tighter. Cameras shutters and the inspectors chat away as Konohamaru looks down at the unknown boy. 'Who could do such a thing and still be sane? This person cannot possibly be human.'
The setting sun casted an orange glow in the bloodstained room. Kii-kii-kii-kii-kii-kii, loud schreeching of the evening cicadas filled his eardrum. With a deep sigh the boy walks towards the door and exits out to the alleyway.
"Konohamaru-kun, give my regards to Uzumaki will you?" The head inspector calls from behind the dismatled door.
"Sure thing..." He says as he walks out of the alleyway into the residential area of Konohamaru. Walking with his head down Konohamaru contemplates about the rape cases he and Naruto inspected over the couple of weeks. Each one of the victims always had 2 bite marks on their neck and 3 slash marks on their face or chest. All of the victims had nothing in relation, execpt they were all boys of 11 years old to 14 years of age. A molesting vampire was what the boy had in mind, so maybe it was Orochimaru? But Naruto and Tsunade concluded it was impossible and not his style to play quiet stalker.
Walking down the empty road, and looking up towards the burnt colored of the sky his chest filled with a burning rage. 'I will catch you!'
"Yo kiddo!" A casual and familiar voice comes from behind.
Turning around he sees Kiba with a soft smile.
"Oh, hey..."
"So seem down...is the mission getting to you?"
"Sorta, and when did you get your arm hurt?" Konohamaru asks pointing at the pieces of cloth wrapped around the swollen left hand.
"Akamaru bit me yesterday." He says quickly almost cutting of the boy, then rubs the bandaged hand.
"Can I see the wound?" The boy asks with delight.
"Sorry kiddo, its really bad."
"I-I see..." Konohamaru arches an eyebrow at the Inozuka boy, then tries to start a conversation to get over the crime scene, "Wha'cha do to him? Rough playing?"
"I don't know, I guess its that time of the year where he needs to find a mate and gets frustrated."
The odd reply flew into Konohamaru's ear and out the other. Not caring much about the conversation anymore, he waved a solemn goodbye and headed for the house of his partner, Uzumaki Naruto.
