Forgiven but not forgotten

A/N: At this time Gaara and Lee are already together, I have a prequel to this in the works. Also I'm still a beginner at this sort of thing, but I promise to get better as time goes on. Much thanks to Mairi-chan for typing this up for me.


It was raining in the forest, and although that wasn't unusual there, it was strange to him. The very sound of rain had always been a mystery. The way it fell from the sky, wet and cold. Gaara really did adore the rain. Somehow, it made him feel better. He walked through it slowly, savoring the way it felt on his face and body. He knew he was being watched from the trees but he didn't really care. Ah there, the break in the trees. He headed for it. Seconds later he was glomped by something green and orange.

"Gaara!" Lee cried. He had been waiting a good part of the morning, although as things stood, Gaara was still early. Gaara raised his non-existent eyebrows. "What are you doing here so early?"

"I just couldn't wait to see you," Lee said with a blush.

Gaara rolled his eyes and a faint trace of a smile appeared on his lips. That was his Lee.

Gaara loved Lee and he knew Lee loved him. It was good to be loved. Especially by Lee. Lee, who was always excited to see him, who was shy in the cutest way, and who was strong but childish. Lee, who believed in the world Gaara had given up on.

Although they'd been dating for over a year, they hadn't seen each other in a little over a month. With Gaara having a huge work load and Lee having little if no free time between training and missions. As such, they were just happy to be together. Although, after years starved of physical contact, Gaara soon had other ideas in mind..

Lee gently pushed Gaara away when he felt a hand groping his ass. "Gaara," he chastised, "We should be alone before you do such things! Besides the meeting is in a few hours, how can you be thinking about sex now?"

Lee did have a point. Gaara should have been nervous, but he wasn't. He knew they could get their way with the treaty. If for some reason it didn't, Gaara was prepared to go to war to get what he wanted. Unfortunately he didn't think Lee would like the latter option much, or at all for that matter.

"Lee don't worry. It'll go our way, I promise. After all, our villages are allies now." The thing was, Lee didn't know exactly what 'our way' meant, other than that they could be together. Gaara, for his part, had to be flexible on that regard since the Hokage would have the final say. Besides, they'd been apart too long and Gaara was starved for affection.

Gaara pouted the littlest bit. Lee saw this and rolled his eyes, with a smile of course, "Oh alright, we have three hours, lets go back to my place."

Gaara smirked, secretly pissed that he hadn't come earlier. "That isn't enough time for all the things I had in mind, but I suppose it's a start. Although, I hope you've taken care of all you r errands and such since after the meeting you'll be... occupied for the rest of the week."

Lee stifled a giggle thinking, 'yeah literally.' Not that he'd say that out loud, oh no, not unless he wanted to be more or less raped right there. Speaking of which, that almost sounded like fun, almost. The sooner they got to Lee's place, the better.

"Gaara, let's just get somewhere private now!", Lee half whined

They were there before he could blink. Lee fumbling with his keys as Gaara pressed him up against the door, already kissing and groping him. When the lock finally surrendered they almost tumbled inside. Almost, after all, they were still ninjas.
