KakaSaku Drabbles

A/N: KakaSaku drabbles - each drabble will be added as I write it.


Of course, there was one downside to this particular relationship.

Sakura was demonstrably rather physically his superior. And at times like this, it was brought home to him rather forcefully - 'forcefully' being the most apt term.

Kakashi rubbed the back of his head, one visible eye wide as he surveyed the scene. Bodies were strewn this way and that, trees had been knocked down, the earth had been cracked. He was supposed to have been the bakcup on a mission gone wrong - but apparently he wasn't needed.

Sakura was sitting daintily in the middle of the devestation, filing her nails with an air of innocence that, maybe a few months ago, certainly a few years ago, Kakashi would have fallen for.

Now, however, Kakashi took the precautions he had learned and approached with all due care and attention. When he was within a few feet of her, he crouched down, visible eye arched in hint of a smile.

"Sakura, dear, may I ask what happened?"

There was a slight snort, a minute pause in the filing. after a full minute of silence, Sakura looked up and he realised she was crying.

Both hands stilled and came to rest on her belly.

"They nearly hurt our baby."
