New Roommates

Prologue

"It finally came!" A dark haired boy, age 19, called out as he flung open the door of the large home he was sharing with his girlfriend. Alexander, currently the only male in the household had acquired some exclusive Naruto DVDs off a 'black market'. "Yo Quinn, I'm home!" Alex continued to call out. "I'm upstairs!" A voice called out from a room on the second floor. The house itself belonged to Quinn's family, since she came from an old money family. The house was a Victorian model with various aspects of Greco-roman and Dutch colonial added to the house as well. But the house was entirely modern on the inside. Alex ran up the stairs with a wide grin on his face. He rushed into Quinn's room holding up the DVDs. "Guess what I got!?" He said in a sing song voice.
She turned to her boyfriend and smiled. Her long golden blonde hair had been pulled up into two high ponytails and right now she looked like Sailor Moon, minus the meatball buns. She was wearing a black tank top with a Scorpio symbol on the front in pink with a blue and green plaid, almost Catholic schoolgirl styled, skirt. "They finally came?" She asked, her bright blue eyes smiling as well.

"You bet they did, beautiful." Alex replied swooning. He was wearing a royal blue shirt underneath the long black overcoat he was now taking off. His silver eyes were sparkling as he stared at his girlfriend with glee. "Fresh off the presses." He said handing her the cases.
"I'll go set up the DVD player." She said, turning away from her computer that was on Youtube.com. She'd been watching Naruto cosplay videos again, mainly those involving either Sasuke or Itachi. On her bed was a large amount of fabrics and sewing materials. Beside her bed, on her desk, was a sewing machine and a half finished costume. Her dream was to be a fashion designer, but her true loves were cosplaying and anime. "Quinn, those costumes look amazing! When do you think you'll be done with these ones?" Alex asked while sat down next to her work on the bed.

"I think they'll be done in time for the talent show, the dance and Halloween." She said. "If I work overtime on them." She said, referring to their upcoming college talent show and Halloween dance.
"Man, I don't know how you can work so hard? But that's what I love most about you." Alex said smiling as he stared lovingly at the woman he practically idolized.
"I got a call from Amber today." She said, smiling again. Her best friend, Amber Vaerun, lived in Florida and the two girls talked to each other as much as possible. "She's going to graduate this year. And she's hoping to come live with us after she does." She said.
"That'd be great!" Her boyfriend replied practically shaking with excitement. Alex was always prone to over excitement on some occasions.
"You go get the DVD player set up and I'll clean up in here...." She turned back to her computer screen. "Right after I watch Akatsuki the Musical one more time."
Alex laughed with a sweatdrop as he stood up and walked over to the TV. "Alright...just put this in and press this, bingo!" He announced gleefully. "Ready to start when you are." He told Quinn. "I swear I'd love to do something like that." She joked as the video ended.

"Stage fright would get me WAY too easily up there." Her boyfriend replied with a sweatdrop. "Now come on, get your cute body over here and let's watch."
Quinn turned off her screen and sat down beside her boyfriend on the sofa.
"Just in time, I'm already at the main menu." Alex said as he pressed play on the remote, starting the episode. "I think they show all the Akatsuki guys in this one." Alex added.
"Almost all, dearest. They don't show the leader or that one member they've yet to name." She corrected him. She sighed a lovesick sigh. "Itachi...." She swooned.
"Oh yeah, I kinda forgot that. Hey, wait! I'm still in room you know." Alex said rubbing the back of his head until he heard Itachi and whined.
"I'm sorry. You know I have a weakness for the men with Sharingan." She said, patting his shoulder.
"Yeah...but it's not like you'd leave me if he were real right hehe." Alex joked as he looked back toward the TV. Oh how wrong he was.


"Gah, I can't hear a thing." He complained as he started button mashing the remote to change the volume.
"Strange." She said, seeing that the TV was on max volume.
"What's wrong?" Alex thought out loud before he sped up his button mashing, not noticing the remote began to smoke a little.
"Alex!" Quinn yelled, seeing the remote smoking.
"Huh?" The boy said before feeling his hand burn a little. "Yeoch! What the hell?" He yelped dropping the remote. It shot a blue light at the TV that began glowing slowly. "Uh...I don't think it's supposed to do that?"
"No it's not." Quinn said, shutting her eyes tightly in fear.
The TV shone bright before it finally made an explosion noise and a bright flash of light filled the room. Alex, shielded Quinn from the flash by moving over her.
Quinn opened her eyes a few minutes after the flash faded and the smoke settled. Her eyes became as wide as saucers. "Oh.... my.... god..." She said.
Alex had wide eyes and his jaw was hanging open. "Holy Sh-Cow." He said quickly correcting himself. Laying in a large dog pile on the floor were 8 of the 10 members of the Akatsuki, all out cold on the ground.
