The Tears Fall

Chapter 1 the meeting.

Sakura walked threw the village of Kohan with her arms down at her side. Her locks of pink resting along her head as her head rested slightly tilted forward, with her eyes looking at her feet as she slowly walked towards the Hokage Tower. The Fifth had summoned her for her daily training although there was something that she wasn’t told. On her way she noticed Naruto was walking towards the tower as well this quickly catching her attention while she started to wonder. It had been some time since Naruto had returned from his two year training with Jiraiy, and over there time spent apart from one another she came to realize something. She carried for Naruto more than she thought.

Although she came to notice such a thing, she never revealed them towards Naruto. Remaining her self like she always did around him, as if she stilled had the strong affection towards the missing nin Sasuke. Hiding the warm smile behind her lips she looked towards him, admiring him along with his warming attitude. Naruto wore the Orange suit with black threw it like always with the Hidden Leaf Village head band around his forehead with his hands laced with one another as he held them against the back of his head. Slowly he quickened her pace, moving up to where she walked beside him.

“Hello Naruto.” She said to him in a calm and soft voice, which quickly caught his attention.

Turn his head off to his right, he looked towards Sakura. His lips curved into a friendly smile as he looked at her. Still caring deeply for her and wanting nothing more than to be accepted by her, although he had her friendship he was happy with that. He kept his feelings towards her to himself although everyone even Sakura herself knew the feelings he held towards her. But he never said anything about them from where he assumed she stilled held the same attraction towards Sasuke. Rubbing the thoughts and images from his mind he looked at towards her and spoke in his chipper always voice. “Hello Sakura-chan.” Suddenly a thought came to him as they walked towards the Hokage Tower as he blinked with confusion.

“Hey Sakura….um are you going to see Granny Tsunade too?” He asked her with a curious tone in his voice, his eyes blinking slightly as they continued to walk beside each other.

Sakura looked forwards as she walked beside him. She was about to ask Naruto the same question until he beat her to it. Her head turned to look at him as she noticed the confusion in his face, giving him a slight nod to answer his question before she spoke to him once more. “Yeah she called me in for some training. Although it’s strange…she normally waits until the evening so that she will have time to watch me and help me correct mistakes or answer my questions. She hasn’t asked for training this early before which has me wondering what she is wanting or is planning.” She continued to look at him as she answered as she noticed the wondering look on Naruto face.

Suddenly Naruto began to wonder what the old bag was wanting from them; she didn’t give any reason for his summoning only that she wanted to speak with him about something. Although the messenger stressed it was rather important but what wasn’t she telling and why did she want Sakura at the same time? Thinking not being Naruto strongest, he could still peace things together but this had him wondering. Was it information on Sasuke? If so then why not just say it, instead of doing something like this. If it was a mission it would have been different but a mission was never called like this or at least not for him. Shrugging lightly Naruto continued to walk along side Sakura.

“Geeze. The old bag knows how to keep things a mystery to people…And well I don’t like think about those types of things. I say she should be straight forward on things….I just cant figure it out and I don’t know why its getting to me….maybe I’m thinking to much on it.” A small laugh came from him as he thought about his words, and slightly annoyed that it was true on what he said. A warm thought remained in the back of his mind at the thought of being on a mission with Sakura kept a smile on his hips.

Suddenly it went grim and filled with sorrow. Remembering back when Yamato, Sai, Sakura and himself went on a mission to gather information and there fight with Orochimaru. The memory was fuzzy to him from where the Kyuubi over took his body in the fight, pushing his conshous mind into a black out with the Kyuubi controlling his body like a puppet. Coming to, he remembered little to nothing about it except the fact Sakura was hurt. Yamato explained to him what happened, with him blacking out on them. From that point Naruto was afraid to be around Sakura for the fear of hurting her or even…killing her.

Never holding it against Naruto knew this. It wasn’t his fault she always told him even though he continued to blame himself for it, not being able to control the fox on his own as it continued to take control over him slowly eating away at him. Naruto always tried his best to push the memory from his mind but it always lingered there eating at him that he caused pain to a person he would willingly give his own life for. From that point he tried to avoid being on mission with her along with the fact Tsunade not allowing Naruto to take mission that involved the Akatsuki and keeping him close as possible to the village.
Naruto and Sakura walked quietly each pondering on there own questions. They walked into the Hokage building, moving threw the hallways and climbing stairs. They were quiet for the remaining of there walk with them thinking to themselves. And before they knew it they were standing in front of the two large double doors leading to the main room at which the Hokage done there work. A “Knock knock knock” came from the door as a “Come in” was heard behind the two doors. Slowly they were opened as Sakura and Naruto walked into the room.

To there surprise Kakashi stood leaning against the wall close to an open window allowing a gently breeze to blow into the room. The room was made in a circle with the Hokage desk in the back facing the two doors, on the desk several large stacks of papers, books, and scrolls with the Fifth looking straight at Naruto and Sakura with a more serous look than normal along with having stressed mixed into it. Tsunade apparently had been thinking on what she was about to say to the two for quite some time. Her elbows resting on the large desk with her chin resting on her laced fingers. Tsunade looked at Naruto and Sakura as they gave her a blank look.

There expression revealed they had no clue or idea what was going on, as another knock came from the door behind them. Seconds later the door opened as Jiraiy walked in. Kakashi raised his head as he closed his book, moving his hand behind him he slipped it into the pouch resting at his waist as he leaned from the wall. Slowly he walked over and stood beside Tsunade desk as Jiraiy walked into the room and stood on the opposite side of the desk as he looked towards Sakura and Naruto with Kakashi. After what seemed several long drug out minutes of silence Tsunade broke it between them with a sigh escaping her lips.

“I know you two have no idea why I brought you here…it’s easy to tell by the looks on your face. So I’m going to get right to the point you two. We know have a positive lead on Sasuke whereabouts. And he isn’t far from Kohan either. But….” Tsunade stopped before she said anything ells as Naruto quickly revealed a strong sign of frustration from her abrupt stop. Sakura held a worried look on her face for the fear that something has happened to him. Quickly getting annoyed with the silence Naruto was about to speak before Tsunade interrupted him. “Something is a miss, it’s like suddenly he has become drawn towards Kohan”

“But all of the attempts to make contact with him only prove in sending our men to there death. Before Sasuke only attacked and defeated our men, but now he is killing anyone we send to him. Even ones that were just meant to talk, he would beat them and send them back telling he wants the strongest and he said….Naruto.” Jiraiy said in a low tone as a sigh came from him. He knew all too well how strong Naruto was, and that he didn’t doubt his skill even less with the training he obtained from Kakashi and Yamato. But the thought lingered in his mind that Sasuke has been on his own for a large amount of time along with his training with Orochimaru.

Naruto lowered his head as he felt a twist in his stomach, the thought of having to fight Sasuke made him worry as he sighed lightly. His eyes looking at the floor his feet stood on thinking to himself ‘Can….I...Beat….Sasuke?’ Ran threw his mind so many times over and over; suddenly he felt a hand land on his shoulder as his eyes widened slowly with him rising up. His eyes followed up the man’s arm as he seen Kakashi looking down at him. Beneath the mask over his face, Kakashi held a smile on his lips as he looked at the young Naruto. “Naruto don’t you worry yourself…….it was an honor to be your sensei Naruto and you have grown to be a very strong Ninja. And what I told you when we were training is true. You are the only person to hold the skill to pass the Fourth. …Take care Naruto….”

Naruto eyes widened as he heard Kakashi as he felt the hand pull from his shoulder. His head turned as Kakashi walked out the door, with his head slightly low. His hands in both of his pockets as he walked down the hallway as Naruto remain frozen in his place. He had never heard Kakashi sound the way he just did. It was filled with worry and Naruto knew what over…Sasuke. His mind snapping him back into reality he realized he had been standing there for several minutes. Naruto turned his head as he looked at Tsunade as her head was low as Jiraiy looked out the window with his back to every one. Quickly Naruto burst out yelling as the fifth. “Are you just going to let him go like that!!? Tsunade ANSWER ME!!!”

Sakura looked towards Naruto. She had never heard him talk in such a way nor ever hear him call her like the way he just did. Naruto leaned forward with his eyes revealing he was still in the shock from every thing he just heard and took in, as the fifth remained motionless and quiet. Jiraiy let out a deep and heavy sigh as he stood there looking out the window looking towards the ground. Finally the silence was broken as he spoke in a serous tone “Naruto…. Do you think you could beat Sasuke? Weren’t you just questioning yourself about the out come of the fight? Think about it Naruto…this truly is the only way. Sasuke is to strong, and the out come is obvious.”

Growling with rage Naruto ignored everything that was said to him as he turned to the open window. Pushing forward he ran towards the window as he leaped out of it, as he free fell towards the ground landing on it with a loud bang. Another growl came from Naruto with his range building as a door opened. His expression changed as he seen Kakashi walking out a building. Giving a small sigh he looked at Naruto who was standing, his eye looking right at Naruto. Holding an annoyed and sad look on his face Naruto moved towards Kakashi.

“Kakashi I’m not letting you fight my battles….I” Quickly he was cut off as Kakashi slammed his fist in Naruto gut, causing Naruto to make a loud “AH” from all of the air knocked out of his lungs. The hit sent him to his knees holding his stomach as his head started to throb. A loud smack came from the back of his head, causing Naruto to black out and fall to the ground leaving a ‘Thud’ as Naruto laid there knocked out. A small sigh came from Kakashi as he looked at Naruto as he shook his head. “Sorry…Naruto its has to be done”

Crouching down Kakashi pulled Naruto over as he laid him against the side of a building. Patting his head lightly he stood up and took off walking, leaving everyone behind him. His pace was slow and with his hands resting in the pockets on his pants, minutes later he pushed off the ground landing on a large wall that over looked the land. Kakashi begin the person that found Sasuke knew were he was residing around Kohan; slowly he raised his hand from his pocket. He pulled a photo of Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura and himself in the picture when they were younger and first became a Team. Smiling raised his head and looked forward, thinking ‘Take care everyone’ with a flash he was gone.
