Naruto stared at the flushed brunette in shock, "Wha?"

Sasuke clenched his fists, "You deserve more than a rundown apartment that's on the brink of being condemned, you deserve more than having to eat nothing but cup ramen, you deserve more than dented and rusty weapons, you deserve more than a screaming orange jumpsuit that practically begs to be a target, you deserve so much more than you get just because it's all that you can afford! Naruto's eyes were wide in shock as he took in the panting raven in front of him. Naruto shook his head to clear it, he did not need to go down that mental road right at this moment. The blond met Sasuke's eyes, “You never said anything before.”

The Uchiha crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, “What would I have said? 'Naruto that dump your living in is going to be the death of you, find somewhere safer to live'? Oh that would have gone over well.”

Naruto chuckled, “That would have been just like you though. You couldn't just tell me you were worried or that you didn't like the way I'm treated because unless you're angry you won't actually show that you do have a heart under all that sharp ice.”

The blond leaned back against the kitchen counter, “So me being forced to vacate my apartment until your place is finished wasn't planned by you at all?”
