Hearts Entangled by fate
Notes before you start. This is my first Fanfic for naruto. I do NOT follow the plot of the anime or Manga this is a fan fic not addition of content to what's already established, This fic starts at narutos arrival back in Konoha after his training with Jariya. also Throughout the pairings become obvious, I picked the ones I used some because I haven't seen them done, and some because I like the pairing. on that note, Enjoy.

Naruto loved his post above the city of Konoha He could see every thing from up here. all the people walking around doing their daily grind, He liked to watch them there was something about the view of the city from up here that calmed him. As he scanned out over the streets he say a group that he recognized and Quickly jumped down to go meet them.
Neji, Kiba, and Hinata were walking toward the Hokages tower they had just received word that she had a mission for them, though no one knew any details of the mission yet they were anxious. They hadn't had a mission in a long time now, they were getting a bit tired of the same things day after day, Training, eat, training, eat, Sleep and repeat. They made the turn to face The Hokage tower they saw a face they hadn't seen in, Neji thought for a second before realizing it had been years. Their blonde whiskered comrade had changed a lot, as had they all Neji realized.
"Naruto it's been a long time" Neji stated Calmly
"Only a couple of years" The blonde was in an even louder mood than normal
"That's a long time in my book, How was your training with the old man" Kiba chimed in.
"It was great I've gotten a lot stronger." Naruto excited as usual nearly yelling
Meanwhile Hinata was practically hiding behind Kiba.
"We will see about that later" Neji said Flatly
Narutos eyes reflected his excitement at the thought of training against Neji, He would show them just how much stronger he had really become. "You're on Neji, Loser has to buy the winner Ichiraku Ramen"
"Yea yea, When we get back from the mission but we really have to go, Tsunade has a mission for us." Kiba stated his irritation for the delay starting to show.
The three continued on telling Naruto they would see him when they got back from their mission and continued on to The Hokages tower.

"I can't explain enough how important this is" Tsunade said sternly to the group standing before her
"Yes Hokage-sama we understand" Neji answered for all of them.
"Good, you leave in 2 hours, go get your things ready I'll be at the front gate to give you additional information if I receive any before you leave, Dismissed" Tsunade was more serious that usual
The three left and hurried to get their equipment in order for the mission, Neji couldn't shake the bad feeling that had come over him, Tsunade had been so serious, Way more than usual anyways. He wondered to himself *Who is this person we are supposed to retrieve, Koginshi huh? I for Tsunade to be that worried he must be a very capable adversary* He put the last of his things in place and checked his hip pouch and all of his ties to hold everything in place, then headed toward the front gate.
Hinata caught up to him at the front gate of the Hyuuga Mansion and they continues to the front gates. When they arrived Kiba was already waiting.
"What took you two so long" He barked "You're almost late"
"But we're not are we?" Neji snapped back quickly
"Hey cut it" Tsunade same out of nowhere, they all hated when she did that.
Neji turned to face her "Yes Hokage sama" He then asked "Do you have anymore details?"
"Nothing" she said sternly "This is going to be dangerous, I'm trusting you all to make it back safely with Koginshi, be careful"
"Yes Hokage-sama" they all replied in unison.
"Then you are dismissed."
They all bowed slightly then turned and started off out the gates.

Naruto watched them all leave from one of his many posts above the city, Tsunade looked too serious, He wondered what was going. He already had it in his mind to ask her personally later exactly what was going on, why she was so serious, But for now, He needed to get something to eat. the thought came just in time for his stomach to growl loudly. *great I guess I'll have to go get so Ichiraku* he thought to himself.
*six days later*
It was usually for Neji to come back late from a mission, He should have arrived yesterday, he had sent notification that they had a plan to capture Koginshi, that they should be back in 3 more days. The deadline he had mentioned was passed. Tsunade wondered nervously if something had gone wrong. Then told herself that they were fine it just took them longer than Neji had planned.
Shikamaru had gate detail today, He was sitting lazily watching, it had been a boring day, much like any day he had this detail, it was troublesome but someone had to do it. he looked around, he only had about an hour left until he could leave, He couldn't say that he wasn't glad, This chore was the most boring thing he could possibly think of.
Ten minuted before his should would come to an end shikamarus attention snapped to the path outside the gate, He could see three people coming back One of them Holding a chain attatched to a prisoner, One helping the third walk. He realized immediately it was Neji, Hinata, And Kiba, He ran out to see what had happened, Kiba looked broken, He was barely conscious at all. Neji held the prisoners chain in one hand The other hanging at his side unmoving. And Hinata Helping to carry Kiba back, She was shaking Kiba weighed a lot more than her, It must have been quite some task carrying him if she had to do it for any distance at all.
it didn't take him long to realize their prisoner had put a great deal of hurt onto the team. He walked and Carefully traded places with Hinata to take the weight off her. Neji put a hand into the air, A moment later 6 Anbu members were standing around him. He instructed them to take the prisoner to the makeshift holding cell. as soon as they were gone Neji spoke
"Hinata you're the least injured here, You go tell Tsunade-sama what happened. I'm gonna go to the hospital with Kiba."
"Okay" she responded and quickly headed toward the Hokages tower.
Tsunade looked upset at the news of the teams injuries, she knew he would be dangerous but they should have been more than able to handle themselves.
"Okay Hinata you look exausted, go get some rest"
"Yes Tsuna-..." Hinata collapsed to the floor
Tsunade quickly determined she was alright, Just a bad case of exaustion but she needed to get some rest, Tsunade carried her to the hospital and found her a Vacant bed in the rom next to Kiba and Nejis.
Tsunade proceeded to Kibas room, He looked like hell, we were laying on the bed his shirt gone replaces by many bandages, She picked up the medical report laying nearby, 4 broken ribs, his left leg was broken, and damage to his internal organs that had already been treated, Neji could see the the look in her eyes that screamed she blamed herself for sending them off alone on this mission without another team as backup.
"We were careless" Neji said to her. She could tell he was lying to make her feel better
His arm was in a sling rapped in a cast. he watched her eyes fall to it
"It was broken" he said calm as ever "Sakura has already mended it.
Tsunade nodded and walked out of the room, she hadn't said where she was going but he had an idea that she was gonna go look over the mission report again.
