Naruto stared at the playboy on the kitchen table with a sticky note on it. He did not understand how could Shino be mad over it? It was just one picture and they paid good money.

That’s the only reason why he did it, they needed the money and it was enough to hold them over until they found more work. His body was even covered now granted it was with whipped cream but it's not like he had sex with anyone. He knew it was a stupid idea but when the guy approached Naruto and asked him. He did not think about it and when he said 100,000. Naruto took it.

It was better than them being thrown out of their apartment though right? But still Shino was not the angry type but Naruto could tell just one little price of paper and he knew Shino was mad.

It was easy actually he was thinking about them when he did it he did not think Shino would get this mad, though it figured that things would go from bad to worse though they had each other and they were happy even through all their hardships but now Shino was upset and gone.

Naruto threw the magazine in the garbage the only thing he could do now was find Shino and try to explain to him Naruto grabbed his keys and phone as he left, there was a slim chance Shino would answer his phone but he would still try.

Naruto started down the busy city streets even at night this place was crowded with people only the people at night were never as nice as the one's during the day. It was like everything changed at night and truthfully Naruto hated coming out at night at least without Shino. Maybe it was childish he knew he could hold his own in a fight but he still preferred to have Shino with him, he felt safer and more at ease going out with his lover.

Naruto shook his head, sure but he had done plenty of stupid things. But never anything that made Shino mad there were not many places the other male would go. Because, as he expected, Shino was not answering his phone…

It helped though they would be able to pay their bills for awhile they would be able to make it for once without worry…

Naruto left the first two places with only one more he could try if he was not there then he went home hopefully… Naruto stared through the window in the dimly lit café Shino was not here so now all he could do was go home wait and hope…

Naruto started to go home when he realized Shino was just some ways in front of him so he quickly ran to catch up. "Shino."

The brunette stopped but did not turn to face his lover he could not stand the thought of anyone staring at Naruto's body with lust in their eyes. He did not want to lose the blond especially if the playboy owner came back? Or whoever it was and wanted Naruto for more, what if Naruto went? What if someone else had already touched 'his' body? Shino started walking again before Naruto could fully catch up; he could care less if they were poor and homeless as long as he had Naruto, he did not care but Naruto… Naruto had willingly shown his body naked to the whole damn world, was it not supposed to be mad? Shino had always been self conscious of himself he never really understood how Naruto could even like him but he did and it made him feel like the luckiest man alive having Naruto as his but somewhere he always felt it was too good to be true, one day Naruto would realize he could do better and leave him. And for Shino this was proof so many others would desire Naruto's body and try to claim it and that scared him more than anything else. Did Naruto think so little of their relationship? That he would pose for playboy?

"Shino I said please wait, won’t you even listen to me." Naruto gripped the male’s grey sleeve finally catching up with him.

"There’s nothing to hear. You did what you wanted, who am I to tell you no?"

"You’re my boyfriend! My lover, that’s who," Naruto yelled not meaning to bring the people around them to a curious stop.

"But you already did, so regardless my opinion doesn’t matter." It wasn’t like him to get angry, but everyone had their limits right?

Naruto pulled at blond spikes. "Why don’t you understand? I did it for us, it was just one picture and I wasn’t even completely exposed…"

The brunette glared at the side walk. "One picture… one that is on the cover of every magazine they sent out." The male started walking again as Naruto rushed after him. “You were… it was an erotic picture Naruto… you showed your body like that… to everyone.”

Naruto had to strain just to hear. “I love you Shino… I just didn’t want us to go without… you to go without…” Naruto stopped, as did Shino.

“I could have found another job. I just have to try harder.” It’s not like he wasn’t, he even thought about dropping out of school and looking for a full time job… even though he knew Naruto would not allow that.

“Even if you did, we had already been given our last extension on the rent. Shino we needed the money I didn’t do anything aside from the photo. You know I would never hurt you purposely… I just didn’t think... and when he offered that much. Just for the one photo I jumped... I thought it would solve our problems... we wouldn’t have to worry.”

Shino sighed as he turned to face the blond pleading blues looked into upset brown. ”Let’s just go home Naruto.” Shino did not want to think about it anymore.

Dinner and everything else went by in silence. Shino thought on it more, he understood what Naruto was thinking, but he still did not like it. There wasn’t anything he could do about it either, it’s not like they would pull the magazines down because his jealous boyfriend wanted them to. It was done and over with, there was not anything he could do now if only he could convince himself of that.

“Im sorry Shino.” Naruto curled into the male’s back gripping the grey short sleeve shirt.

“It’s fine... just go to sleep.” It had to be fine he would get over it he had too.

................. A few weeks later...

Naruto entered their apartment, Shino was not home yet, the other male said he wasn’t angry but Naruto knew he was because he hadn’t touched Naruto in anyway since. Naruto sat down as he went through the mail, he paid up all their bills their rent for a few months finished off their tuition payments which took most of it and just those few things made Naruto glad he did it, though he did regret it to he was a hypocrite wasn’t he?

But for once they didn’t have to worry about making it financially, it wasn’t fair they finally get from one rut now Naruto has to worry about them making it relationship-wise and this fucking shit wasn’t helping...

Naruto ripped up the cover of the playboys that were in their mailbox asking for autographs, dates, asking for other things he would not say, people harassing him every time he was alone, then letters from other porn companies asking him if he wanted to model for them or star in a movie. Naruto hit his head on the table as he covered it with his arms, he never felt like this before, like he just wanted to disappear from existence completely.

Naruto did not like crying, he felt like lesser of a man no, that wasn’t right he just didn’t like it, period. But the stress was too much, if it was not one thing it was another. He couldn’t take it anymore.

And that was the scene Shino came into, Naruto’s head on the table, trying to cover it with his arms as the blond cried truthfully. Out of six years he had never seen Naruto loose it and cry, the blond always had to face every situation, no matter how grim it was, with a smile and a ‘we can make it‘ phrase. Well usually along those lines.

“Naruto?” It stung in his chest; he did not like the thought of his Naruto being this upset.

“I’m sorry… I’m sorry… I don’t know how many times I have to say it so you’ll believe me... I didn’t mean to cause any problems… I just wanted to fucking help us… and for once for everything to be okay… I’m sorry I’m stupid… I’m sorry I don’t think before I act... I just don’t know what to do....how can I fix it...?”

Shino’s eyes widened as he approached the blond, he wrapped his arms around the bent form holding him tightly he rested his head of the blonds’ arms. “I’m sorry too, Naruto I just didn’t want to lose you or share you... I’m sorry....”

Shino didn’t want to move to answer the phone but it wouldn’t stop ringing and finally he moved to do so when Naruto mumbled a ‘just get it already.’

Naruto wiped his face, why did he have to break down and loose it now? Naruto stood as he crumbled everything up and took it to the garbage, his head pounding. That was another reason why he didn’t like crying, it always made his head hurt. He walked toward the bathroom. Shino was still on the phone, he didn’t pay any mind though he just wanted to take something and crawl into bed and pretend that nothing ever happened...

When Naruto came out of the bathroom he noticed the other male was still on the phone so he started stripping down to his boxers, leaving his clothes wherever they landed as he made his way to the bed, curling under the blankets. He wondered how long he could sleep, knowing his luck not very long...

Shino made his way into the bedroom, pulling down the covers and pulling the blond into his arms. “I have to go out for a bit, my professor needs me to meet someone, Naruto.”

Naruto just nodded his head, what was he supposed to say?

“Naruto… just wait a minute.” Shino pulled back and walked back into the other room what the hell was he thinking?

Naruto figured the other male was getting ready to leave so he opted for laying there in bed he was tired.

Shino came back in pulling off his shirt and shoes before he pulled down his pants quickly climbing into bed and pulling Naruto into his arms.

“I thought…”

“I told him I would have to meet him tomorrow afternoon; there is something more important I need to take care of.” Shino squeezed Naruto tighter. “I love you Naruto, so much more than anything else... I’m sorry for being mad... I was... scared that you would leave me.”

Naruto looked up. “I wouldn’t ever.”

The taller male silenced the blond with a gentle kiss. ”I know.” It’s not like he was purposely being mad every time he saw the garbage or every time he saw how someone would look at his boyfriend, he just couldn’t help it.

Naruto wrapped his arms around the brunette's broad shoulders. ”We will be okay?”

"We’ll be fine." Shino kissed along the male’s jaw line gently, moving down his neck nipping at patches of flesh as he worked his way down slowly. He’d missed this, he missed touching his lover’s body, what was he thinking? Well it did not matter now, he wanted to forget and make Naruto forget so they both could remember what was important just them that’s all Shino needed...
