I'm Sorry Baby
A Short, drabble for Cai . 800+ Word count.
Ya, well I kind of got the idea when buck cherry’s song came on, ‘Sorry.’
Urm…well…ehh…I just, well it wrote it’s self… and well ya…:sweatdrop: sorry, :lol: I wanted to make it, uh, more something…

Naruto lifted the set of paintbrushes, holding it against his chest as he moved to sit on the bed. He regretted what he had said dearly, fuck! He regretted it the moment it left his mouth. His jealousy was something he always had problems with, and it had gotten worse when he had started dating Sai.
His carefree composure slipped a lot, more than he would ever admit, especially when it came down to his lover. Well he hoped he still had a lover… His tongue - Naruto could not believe he let it slip like that. He really wished it was possible to kick his own ass, because he really wanted to now.
'Its amateur shit.' That`s what he said, but he did not mean it. Sai’s art was beautiful; everyone knew that, he praised his lovers’ abilities every day. So how could his big mouth say something so stupid, something so untrue. Everything happened so fast, it all started when Sai was offered a sponsored gallery across seas, it sparked an argument; well, a one-sided argument on Naruto‘s account.
Naruto could not leave. Not with classes and Tsunade being sick. In addition, they wanted Sai to move there, so in hopes to get him to stay, the worse possible thing spilt from his lips. He did not know what he was thinking; now he briefly thought Sai would stay to work on improving his art. Even though he did not need it, there was no one better at painting then Sai. He just panicked… He was just…
Afraid that Sai would leave him behind.
That happened a lot, but he did not want it happening with Sai, he was in love with the raven, he never wanted to mess it up. However, he had, he was sure of that.
"I’m a fucking idiot." Naruto briefly feel back on the bed.
He needed to find Sai and apologize, get down on his hands and knees and beg for forgiveness for stooping to such a low level.
However, most of all he knew what he had to do, he had to smile and say he was happy for Sai. Then he needed to tell him to go, not to pass up such a great opportunity. Then maybe someday Naruto could meet him there, and they could continue their relationship, at least if Sai forgave him.
Naruto stood; quietly heading for the door; it was something he should do in person. Moreover, he was sure he knew where the other male was. Why was life so unfair? It seemed too cruel that he had finally found happiness only to let it go…?

Naruto approached the large oak tree; this was where they had their first date - also the first place they made love. They made many memories here and sure enough, Sai was sitting underneath it, he looked upset, he had every right to be. He could throw stones at Naruto and the blond-haired male would let him. Not that he would - he just felt that he deserved that and much worse.
Naruto scratched the back of his neck, and since no stones were flying towards him, he spoke up. "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it."
"Why then?" Sai whispered; not looking up- he knew Naruto was there, he knew the blond-haired male would come after him when he cooled down. Yes, he knew Naruto did not mean that, he knew his lover always spoke before he took the time to think; also, Naruto had a poor ability to hear people out properly. So now, he was going to make the male work for his forgiveness.
Naruto fought every urge to take his lover in his arms and make him believe he was sorry. However, he needed to say this first; before he lost his cool - before he changed his mind.
" I was scared you would leave me, you should… I mean you`re so fucking amazing they would be stupid to not want you, and I would be selfish to ask you to stay, no matter how much I want you too." the blond took a deep breath, lowering himself to the ground. "I’m sorry baby, I really am."
Sai let out a soft sigh as he moved closer to Naruto. "I wasn’t planning on leaving you behind, I already told them that." Naruto was too much sometimes, he wanted to make Naruto work for his forgiveness but such a sorrowful look, Sai could not be that cruel even if he wanted to be.
Naruto tensed, "you have to, it’s a once in a life time chance…” Naruto gripped the side of his pants; he could not let Sai give up his dreams for him.
Sai smiled, “I convinced him to open it here, if you would have listened more instead of yelling you would have known sooner. However, it does not mean that you are not in trouble. ”
Naruto smiled wrapping his arms around his lover, tightly pulling the male into a warm embrace. “I’m sorry baby.” He was an idiot, but it was all out of love, so he was a good kind of idiot. He would still have to kick his own ass for everything that happened today. Or even better- let Sai have his ass later.
Sai returned the gesture, his smile turning into a playful smirk. “I know you are, now I want you to apologize.”
