Our Secret

He wasn't supposed to be enjoying this. In fact, this was completely and utterly insane for him to be wanting this right now. This was no time for something like this to arise. And he knew far too well that he couldn't handle it. There was no way that he would be able to break the blond's heart, though. So he had to at least try to make it through this.

They were sitting on a tree branch outside of the village since Sasuke was not yet allowed in because he was a traitor and still having tests done to see if he was allowed back into the village. Sasuke's head rested against the trunk while his arms were firmly wrapped around Naruto's waist and the blond was resting his head up against the raven's chest, blushing slightly. He never would have thought that being like this with Sasuke could ever be possible.

The strain between the two of them was obvious, though, and neither one of them was sure of what to do. Or what to say about it for that matter. Naruto didn't even know that he was capable of such things. Soon, he would become very protective, even towards Sasuke. He didn't want to end up hurting the bastard, though.

He wondered if last month was worth going through this, going through the pain of not knowing if Sasuke would be able to do it with him. To know that a criminal would be a father to his unborn children. Sasuke leaned up and raised an eyebrow at the blond.

"Is that what you think of me, Naruto?" the raven asked, frowning at him.

"I didn't mean it that way, Sasuke, and you know it..." he said, and sighed as he looked down at the tree trunk, and glanced at Sasuke's arms as they were wrapped around him protectively.

"Do you think I won't be a good father to them? That I will abandon them like I abandoned the village? Please, just tell me what you think of me," he pleaded, staring down at the blond.

Naruto took in a deep breath, he needed to think a moment before he found the words that he wanted. He didn't want to hurt Sasuke in any way, mainly because he didn't want him to leave him and his litter of kits. Yes, somehow Sasuke had managed to impregnate Naruto about a month ago. It wasn't until two months later that he started showing signs.

He wasn't eating as much, he had nausia, diareah, constipation, and he had been gaining more weight lately without even eating much. Then, just this morning, he had gotten morning sickness, and that was when he knew exactly what was going on. That was why they were talking about it right now, because Naruto had to tell Sasuke that he was. He was the father after all, and he deserved to know that he was going to have children.

At least he didn't have to worry about restoring his clan anymore as Naruto had already taken care of that prospect of his goals. He knew that it would make Sasuke happy to have a family, but maybe he didn't want one this soon. Maybe he didn't want Naruto ending up being the barer of his children.

They would be shunned, just like he was when he was younger and he didn't want that. But at least...at least they would know the warmth of a family and in knowing that, it made Naruto want to keep them even more. There was no way in hell that Sasuke was going to convince him otherwise. He was against abortions, anyway.

"Sasuke...I don't think you're a bad person," he started, and turned around to face him eye to eye, "I think...you'd be a great father to my children, but...you can't just go off whenever you choose now. We have to be a family and stick together through this. I mean...I never had a family, and...I want to give these babies the life I never had, and I know that you and I...w-we, we can do it Sasuke! I just know we can if we try!" he said with tears pricking at the ends of his eyelashes that made Sasuke want to melt into the tree and disappear just so he wouldn't have to see tears in those deep, beautiful ocean blue eyes.

"All right. I will get a place that we can all live a happy life in. And I'm not talking about my old family's home. I'm talking a home with you, me, and the little ones. How does that sound to you?" he asked, and smiled softly down at the blond.

Naruto smiled and wrapped his arms around Sasuke's neck, hugging him tightly, and pulling him close to his chest.

"Thank you, Sasuke...thank you," he said, and whimpered as he allowed the tears that were already falling to flow freely and stopped holding them back.

"Don't cry," the raven said.

He pushed back the tears away from Naruto's eyes and smiled at him once more.

"You aren't going to be alone in this, I'm going to be right here beside you."

"S-so when are we going to start looking for a place to stay?" he asked.

"As soon as I get approved in the village again. They are almost done with the process so it shouldn't take that long to figure out," he said and smiled, "Don't worry, it will be before they get here," Sasuke told him.

Naruto nodded and rested his head back down on Sasuke's chest, closing his eyes as he did so and allowing him to lose himself in the warmth of Sasuke's arms. He was glad that Sasuke had agreed to stay with him during this because he knew from watching vieos that pregnancy could be a very painful process and it was tough on the mother. And even tougher when someone was not there to help you through it.

This would be their little secret...for now...
