Hard Yet Easy Decision
"I'm sorry redhead. Look I know you and Lee have been dating for awhile and you really want it. But right now I can not risk anymore of the ninja leaving. We may be friends and you may be the Kazekage but I have to say no.." Naruto told his friend while signing a scroll. Lee and Gaara had started dating when they were about 17 and 18 and now Gaara was 21 and Lee was 22 and Lee wanted to move in with Gaara. Going and seeing him was becoming two much of a hassle and the two were even looking to get married. But here was Naruto saying he was not going to sign to Lee's permission to leaving the village and if he just left with Gaara he would be considered a betrayer and would not be allowed back into the village.
The redhead sighed softly and rubbed his forehead. "Naruto... please.. can you not give up just one of your ninja? Lee is important to me..don't make me beg.." Gaara said awkwardly and annoyed.
Naruto just sighed though and got up hugging his friend. "Look... Gaara.. I really really wish I could.. but.. I already have let to many move away. Lee is the best ninja and teacher here... I can not let him move to Suna..."
Gaara pulled away from his friends hug and glared, "Then what do you suggest we do huh?! I am the Kazekage I can not move here!"
"That is an excuse.." Naruto pointed out and sat on his desk staring at Gaara with his blue eyes. "You are using your being Kazekage an excuse Gaara.. if you really love him you will do what is beneficial for everyone.."
The younger Kage looked at his friend in disbelief of what he was hearing. "Naruto.. are you suggesting I abandon my village, everyone! To move here with him?"
"Is he not worth everyone?" Naruto asked and Gaara fell silent.
Turning around the Kazekage didn't answer his friend he just slipped out of the tower. 'Is Lee worth leaving everything in Suna..? I love him so much.. but.. what would my village do if I just left..?' The young male kept thinking to himself as he walked down the streets of Konoha. He finally reached Lee's house and let him self in only to be confused when two arms out of no where wrapped tightly around his waist. There was a shut of the door and Gaara's breathing picked up feeling his boyfriend's body pushed up against his back. "L-lee-kun.." He whispered out and turned around in the arms resting his hand on the tall leaf ninja's shoulders.
"Sooo? What did Naruto say?" Lee asked with a wide grin attached to his features as he gazed lovingly down at his lover, pecking Gaara lightly on the lips.
Gaara kissed back and then looked away. "No... he said he needs you here in Konoha.." Gaara said softly under his breath barely audible. Lee visibly was displeased hearing this as he frowned. "Oh well.. maybe when the knew kids in the academy graduate.."
The young man looked back to his lover, "Lee.. he did suggest something though.."
The leaf ninja immediately got happy again. "And what would that be Gaara-kun??" He asked brightly kissing Gaara's head before rubbing his cheek with a loving motion.
"Umm.. that I move here.. with you.." He said and Lee's face changed to a confused expression. "He basically told me that I had a choice.. you or my village..but..."
Lee placed one of his fingers over Gaara's lips shushing him. "I know I know.. your village is what you choose.." Lee said softly.
"No!" Gaara blurted out then blushed and looked down. "I thought about it.. and.. if I make my brother Kazekage everything should be fine.. he knows how to work it.. and.. not many will miss me.. you are worth more then a village to me Lee.. I would give up the world for you.." He said softly and shyly. The leaf ninja grinned widely and tilted Gaara's head up, catching his lips in a passionate and slow kiss that lasted for as long as they could bare. Then Lee pulled away and pulled Gaara close to him.
"I think I am the happiest man alive now.." He told Gaara and he rest his head on top of the redhead's.
The next few weeks Lee and Gaara had gone to Suna and gotten everything Gaara needed and appointed Kankuro as the new Kazekage. SO instead of Lee leaving after a few years Kiba moved there. And life was good, the village didn't suffer because of Gaara leaving. In fact Gaara thought his brother did even a better job then him, though Lee begged to differ. He always told Gaara that he was the best Kazekage and will always be. And even though Gaara was no longer high and powerful as having the Kazekage role, Lee still showed him off. It actually was nicer to now. He did not have to tell people that his boyfriend was amazing and they would agree because he was a Kage, now they agreed because they thought so too. It left Lee feeling comfortable.
Gaara even felt better in Konoha. He loved plants and the snow and was enjoying his life. It was now unstressed and made him feel happy just enjoying time at home with Lee in a small cozy house instead of the large quiet mansion.
AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER! THE END!~
