Perfection

Summary: One strand out of place, one wrinkle present, one blemish, one spot; it was total chaos to Naruto. He had to be perfect, there was no exception. His life was one big whirlwind of fear: fear of not being good enough, fear of not being perfect enough. Until someone comes along and throws his entire life upside down, breaking every wall he had built around himself, to protect himself. Will he let that person in or will he continue to kill himself to be one word? Perfect.

"No don't leave me alone." Naruto pleaded with tears in his eyes. He couldn't believe the end was here. He couldn't believe that Sasuke would leave him, when he most needed him. He loved Sasuke, and now he was turning his back on him. Leaving him like all the others.

 

"I have to, I need to." It pained Sasuke to leave the one he loved, but it was the best thing to do. He knew he was only hurting Naruto, keeping him from truly healing. He was Naruto's crutch, and one which he had too long.

It was time for Naruto to walk again, with strength; not wobbly but firm.

One would say it was ironic how the sun was shining so brightly, when such a sad event is happening in its presence. But maybe it was a sign that something great was going to happen out of such a sad moment. Maybe a place for healing and growing, like flowers blooming in the sunlight. It was time for them to part ways.

Sasuke removed his hand from Naruto's hand and slowly turned away. He swore a little part of his heart withered away.It was one of the hardest things he had to do in his life, but he knew it was the best for Naruto and himself. He was going to get help too, at least he had a purpose too.

There was one thing that Sasuke had figured out: they brought out the best and worst out of each other. It hit him like an epiphany, and he wasn't prepared for it. 

He could hear Naruto scream in the background, but that wasn't going to break his resolve. It was loud and strained, and it clawed at Sasuke's ears. He couldn't take it and all he wanted to do was turn back and hold him in his arms,and tell him that he was just joking and that everything was going to be fine. But he knew he couldn't let that scream make his resolve crumple into tiny pieces. He had to be strong. Strong for himself and for the love of his life. 

And as he walked he said a little prayer. He was never the religious person, but he felt it necessary for a prayer. He only hoped that God would spare him some mercy and hear his only plea. He slid down onto his knees and bowed to the Earth. He had tears streaming down his face with these words on his lips:

"Make him better please.

I know I have no business asking you a favor, with all the horrible things I have done.

But please, God if you hear me, make him better.
