I Knew You Were Trouble
I Knew You Were Trouble
The bar was different than what he was used to, the lights low and grainy as people milled around pool tables and the bar. It was impossible to just walk without bumping into a warm body. Excitement and nervousness both ran through Naruto Uzumaki’s veins as he followed his friends through the bar. This was the first time he had ever defied his family, sneaking out in the night to get away from their overbearing ways. It wasn’t as if they abused Naruto, but they weren’t exactly treating him like family either. There were rules in place he couldn’t break and since he was still technically only seventeen, he couldn’t leave. Naruto was suffocating in their home, staying in all the time to study whatever chapter in the Bible his foster father had deemed to be the lesson of the day.
The only place he was allowed to go was to school, he was expected back home after the bell had rung at the end of the day. The same old routine every day was slowly driving Naruto insane and he just wanted to get out be himself. Unfortunately for him, his friends were all eighteen and decided that a bar would be the fun place to hang out. At first Naruto was sure there was no way he was getting in, until Sasuke had provided him with a fake ID. It was perfect and Naruto knew Shikamaru had been the one to make it. The teen had made a killing off making IDs such as this one, handing them out to every high school within the tri-state area. Naruto hadn’t even thought of the consequences when he took the plastic card from Sasuke. His only thought was that he would out of his house and away from his foster family. He would be free to just relax and socialize like a normal human being. The bar was buzzing with noise as people spoke, smoke was hanging in the air. It didn’t bother Naruto one bit as he smiled widely, the freedom he felt at being out on his own filled his body from head to toe. It was exhilarating and he knew that he would be doing this again, knowing he had found himself without needing the help of his foster family. They found a table and quickly occupied it as it was near the small dance floor. They had a perfect view of it, which suited Naruto just fine.He didn’t quite know how to dance since his foster father wouldn’t allow him to attend any sort of school dance. It had been a long five years living with the man, but never once did Naruto ever lose himself. In a month he would be able to move out, having saved his allowances and money from the orphanage for such an occasion. No one knew where he hid it and Naruto would never tell, afraid that it would be snatched up and he would be stuck in that godforsaken house for years to come. Tonight he had borrowed some of Sasuke’s clothes, they were a little big, but not enough to make him look like some of hobo. The shirt at least had fit, hugging his body as he left a few of the top buttons undone. The jeans were as tight on his legs as they should have been, but Naruto had refused Sasuke buying him new clothes. He knew the bastard could afford them, his family was loaded. But Naruto didn’t want Sasuke’s money, he didn’t want to come off as a leech either. He would make due with his friend’s clothes when they decided to go out like this. The music of the live band blared through the room, making conversation nearly impossible as it pounded in everyone’s ears. The music was decent and Naruto was glad of that, he knew what a mood killer bad music could be. They weren’t carded as a server stopped by and dropped off some jello shots, making Naruto grin as he slammed the jello back before his friends could protest. The great thing about this particular bar, was that it had no identity, it wasn’t a gay bar or a redneck bar and all types were welcomed here. It was why it was so popular, people flocking to it so they get away from the stereotypical bar they were used to. It was an escape from the norm and people from all walks of life were found there. Naruto basked in the atmosphere, knowing he would frequent it in the future. As the night wore on, Naruto couldn’t stop the huge smile on his face. Even Sasuke seemed to have relaxed for once as he kept Shikamaru by his side all night, showing rare displays of affection for his boyfriend. Naruto knew they were a couple that would be together until they died, he could see it in the way they would glance at one another. Plus he was sure Sasuke wouldn’t put up with anyone else being in his personal space. Naruto wished for a relationship like theirs, but his foster family would have kittens if they even caught a sniff of his sexual preference. They were die hard Christians, and while Naruto didn’t mind that, it seemed that they would argue about the wrongs of homosexuality using the Bible. He knew there other Christians out there that accepted his preference with open arms and sometimes he wondered why he couldn’t have gotten that sort of family instead. Placing his chin on a hand, Naruto watched the dance floor with some interest. He had never been for dancing, even if he had gone to school functions. He was awkward enough as it was and adding to it by making people watch him dance was not something he wanted to experience. When Sasuke and Shikamaru asked him if it was okay for them to go dance, he had told them it was fine. He would be fine on his own, he normally was anyhow. His best friends had taken off and were practically fucking each other on the dance floor by now. He watched them move against one another and Naruto felt as though he were watching something that should have been private and it made him uncomfortable. He averted his gaze to the cell phone Sasuke had given him as a birthday present last year. He had tried returning it to the bastard, but the other teen had refused to take it back so he was stuck with it. There were no new text messages, he guessed things were going great with Kiba’s date. The guy had decided to try and ask Kankuro, a college freshman, on a date. He had guessed it worked since there were no text messages saying that Kiba needed a pick me up. Naruto and Kiba had been friends the longest out of his circle, having met when they were in preschool together. There was nothing they wouldn’t do for each other short of murder, and even then, Naruto knew it would be possible. He was growing bored of the bar already, there was no one of interest present and he felt like going back home, which was impossible since Sasuke had been the one to drive. The bar was a good thirty minutes from Naruto’s house and he didn’t fancy taking a cab or walking for that matter. Naruto’s body jumped in surprise when a pitcher of beer was placed in front of him, the frothy liquid reflecting the strobe lights that were spotlighting the room. Looking up, he was met with the most delectable vision he had ever seen. The man before him was dressed in leather pants that hugged long legs, a black button up shirt with a silver stitched dragon was left hanging open to the middle of his chest. A necklace with a symbol was hanging from his neck, a triangle encompassed by a circle. The shock to Naruto was the deep pink eyes and gray hair, they were absolutely stunning on him. He wasn’t pale, but wasn’t exactly tanned either. A tentative smile passed over Naruto’s lips as he greeted the stranger. “Thanks for the beer, have a seat if you want” Naruto said, gesturing to the empty bar stool beside him. He wasn’t disappointed when the man slid onto the stool and leaned closer to him. “The name’s Hidan, what’s yours?” The other’s voice was rough, held a grate to it that promised many things in many different forms. A shiver ran through Naruto’s body as he let the tone wash over him. “Naruto,” he responded, knowing he was was sealing his own fate. He couldn’t help himself, there was something about Hidan that called to him. He watched as the man, for there was no way he was a high school student, poured him a glass of beer. “That’s a damn interesting name, but I suppose it doesn’t mean fishcake does it?” Hidan asked, handing the beer off to Naruto, making sure his fingers brushed the younger mans. A grin spread over Hidan’s lips when he noticed the small shiver that ran through Naruto’s body. “I’m not actually sure, I never knew my parents so I’m not sure if they named after fishcake or not,” Naruto answered with a smile, used to that particular question after hearing it all of his life. He took it with stride now and wouldn’t punch someone over it like he had when he was twelve. “That fucking sucks, ah well, there are other mysteries to solve I suppose.” The smile on Hidan’s shifted now, to one that had promised he would devour Naruto if he could. Naruto couldn’t help the thought of Hidan being trouble bubbling in his mind. He ignored it in favor of the company of the handsome man before him, Naruto had a weakness for bad boys and it certainly seemed Hidan lived that role. “Mysteries? What other mysteries could there be about me besides the meaning of my name?” Naruto asked, lifting a blond eyebrow. He was certainly curious about Hidan since the man had broke the ice, the first to ever do so this night. “Do your curtains match your drapes?” The question was asked with the obvious sexual undertone and Naruto smirked. Two could play this game of seduction, all he had to do was fight now the nervousness that welled up within him. “That is for me to know and you to find out,” he purred before taking a swig of the beer in his hand. Naruto had beer before, it was a taste that he liked and it helped calmed his nerves. He’d never flirted with another man until now, the fear of being caught by his foster father raging in his mind.“You’re a cheeky little fucker aren’t you?” Hidan laughed, the sound booming as his mouth opened wide, showing pearly whites. “I’ve been called that among other things,” Naruto responded, not taking offense to being called a fucker, Sasuke had called him worse before. “Heh, you got balls, Naruto. I’ll give you that much. So what’s a handsome guy like you doing in a place like this?” “I’m with friends, I’ve been cooped up in my home for far too long,” Naruto answered as honestly as he could. He was walking a thin line as it was giving away that much information. “I don’t fucking believe that for a moment. You’re bullshitting me, don’t think I can’t tell,” Hidan said gruffly, scooting the bar stool closer to Naruto so he could lean in closer. “You’re not old enough to drink that, are you?” The hot breath fanning over his ear had Naruto shivering and his cock stirring in his pants. He was thankful now that they were a bit loose or else the whole room would see the tent in his pants. He had never had this sort of reaction towards someone before, he supposed it had to deal with being locked up in his room so he couldn’t commit sins. Naruto could only nod his head, but it jerked when he felt a hand drift over the front of his jeans, barely touching his cock. A low gasp left his lips when the fly was undone and the warm hand snuck into his jeans. Blue eyes darted around, but no one seemed to be paying attention to them. Naruto’s heart was hammering in his chest, the thrill of doing such in a public setting sent waves of desire through his body. They could be caught in this position and thrown out. The fact made his cock twitch with desire and want. “You’re gonna have to stay pretty fucking quiet for this to work,” Hidan whispered huskily in Naruto’s ear as his hand drifted over the silky skin of Naruto’s cock. He nibbled on the shell before flicking his wrist, causing Naruto to jump a little on the barstool. Thankfully, the table hid their activity from view as a hand snaked down to cover Hidan’s, fingers spreading over his knuckles. “You want it that fucking bad don’t you?” Hidan said, tightening his grip and tugging harder on the cock in hand. A small whimper escaped Naruto’s lips at the words, it wasn’t heard by the other patrons. “Fuck,” Naruto whined as his grip became tighter on Hidan’s hand, his legs spreading out as far as they would go without him falling off the chair. His cock and balls were both exposed to the outside world and no one knew it except him and Hidan. The way the other man had scooted up next to him, made it appear as though they were having a normal conversation. “Shit, you’re not gonna last long are you? Are you that much of a slut?” Hidan slurred, nose poking Naruto’s neck when no one was watching. Naruto could only gasp as the hand around him pumped him faster, making Naruto shift his hips as his released neared. The bar was not a place for such activities, but he couldn’t help but want it. If given the chance he would have let Hidan fuck him on the table, not caring if the other was a complete stranger. His orgasm hit him like a freight train as he bit down on his lower lip to keep from crying as he came over their hands. His seed was warm as it dripped onto Sasuke’s jeans. The bastard would kill him, but Naruto didn’t care. For the first time in his life, he was doing something that he wanted to do. “Damn, Naruto, you’re fuckin’ sensitive aren’t you?” Hidan asked as he removed his hand and tucked the wilting cock away carefully, zipping the ruined jeans up. Naruto couldn’t speak a dazed smile slowly spread his lips as he looked to Hidan. His blue eyes had darkened from their normal bright blue shade in satisfaction. He could hear the other man’s breath hitch as he turned his gaze to Hidan. The smile was silly, but said everything Naruto couldn’t. Together they made their way to the bathroom, Naruto wanting to wash his hands as well as Hidan. Both men didn’t care that the beer would be left unattended as they entered the abandoned restroom. Before Naruto knew it, he was pressed against the door with lips attached to his, sliding against them as Hidan coaxed them open. His body couldn’t react, but Naruto didn’t care as his hands buried themselves into gelled hair and pulled Hidan closer to him. He wanted to feel the hard planes of the man before him against his own lithe frame. “I want to fucking devour you,” Hidan mumbled against Naruto’s lips, his hands forcing Naruto’s crotch against his own. “See what you do to me.” “Hmm, I can feel it,” Naruto replied cheekily, earning a growl from Hidan before his mouth was consumed again. He felt like he was drowning in Hidan’s presence, the man taking every scrap of Naruto’s attention with every touch and kiss. He was losing himself in the heady feeling of being touched and groped. It had never felt so good before to disobey his foster father. “I want to fuck you against this wall,” Hidan growled, nipping Naruto’s neck with sharp teeth. “But I have better plans, Fishcake.” “What can be better than this?” Naruto asked, chest heaving with the effort to control his breathing. Lust rolled between their bodies, feeding each other the desire they wanted, fuelling their passion even more. “There are a lot things better than this. Tell me, are you a fucking virgin?” The idea of Naruto being a virgin excited Hidan, it enticed him to draw this young man further into his web.
“Is it a problem if I am?” Naruto asked, raising an eyebrow as his finger twirled around a piece of Hidan’s hair. “No, it isn’t.” Hidan answered, moving his lips to plunder Naruto’s mouth once again when a knock on the door had the blond man jumping in surprise. “Hey, stop fucking in there and let the rest of us piss!” The voice was gruff, but held no irritation as Hidan and Naruto moved away from the door and went to the sinks to wash their hands. Not a word was said as they finished up their washing and left the bathroom, Hidan winding an arm around Naruto’s waist and pulling him close to his body. They weaved through the bodies and both saw that their table was occupied. Naruto had figured his friends would take a break from the dance floor sometime soon. He was glad he hadn’t been caught with Hidan’s hand down his pants. He could already read Sasuke’s face and the expression was one of mild curiosity mixed with disbelief. Shikamaru’s though, was more apprehensive. They slid into their seats, Hidan’s hand moving to Naruto’s shoulders as he pulled the younger man to lean against him. Naruto was comfortable and didn’t have to wait long for the barrage of questions, Sasuke immediately asking him what the hell he was thinking. Out of all his friends, Sasuke was the most possessive and protective because he saw Naruto as a brother. He was also the only one who knew about his home life and what his family put him through every day. “It’s nothing to fuckin’ worry about,” Hidan growled when Sasuke tried to scare him off. “Fishcake here is safe with me.” “You’re allowing him to call you that name?” Sasuke hissed, narrowing dark eyes to Naruto. “What’s it to you if I do? It’s none of your business, Sasuke.” Naruto replied, his own face schooling into an angry expression. He didn’t want this bullshit from his best friend, he wanted to feel normal for once and Sasuke was taking that from him without even realizing it. “You know what, fuck it. Hidan can take me home.” “He’s a stranger! You barely know him!” Sasuke seethed, as Shikamaru placed a hand on his shoulder in an attempt to calm him. But it failed when the teen leaned over the table and glared at an unfazed Naruto. “I won’t permit it.” “Fuck you, Sasuke,” Naruto growled, slipping from his barstool and walking away. He hated dealing with the other teen when he was like this, he would never listen to reason and when everything was said and done, he would realize what he had done wrong. Naruto was tired of all the possessive shit regarding himself, Sasuke was never like that towards Shikamaru that he knew of and it pissed him off. When he stepped out into the cool night air, Hidan was right beside him. Naruto took several deep breaths to calm his nerves. He hated being pissed at Sasuke, but he didn’t want to deal with his bullshit either. He never understood how Shikamaru could put up with his hormonal ass. When Naruto opened his eyes, Hidan was standing in front of him, deep pink eyes studying him intently. “What time do you have to be back?” He asked, cupping a cheek gently as the warmth seeped into Naruto’s cheek. “Before dawn, the family I live with can’t know I was gone,” Naruto replied, giving Hidan a piece of the truth as he closed his eyes. He knew if he were ever discovered, the consequences would be dire, but Naruto couldn’t bring himself to care. He wanted to break free of his family and the chains they had placed on him. Technically they hadn’t done anything illegal as of yet and so he was stuck. “Where do you live?” “Konoha, thirty minutes from here.” “Good, I have the perfect place in time for us to spend some damn time together,” Hidan said, removing his hand, grasping Naruto’s wrist to tug him towards a motorcycle. The last thing Naruto saw was Sasuke coming out of the bar and searching for him, his gaze worried as his best friend sped off into the night with a man he just met. ~*~ The last month spent with Hidan had been amazing. Naruto had been caught up with him so much that he had ignored his friends. Sasuke had stopped speaking to him three weeks ago and he just couldn’t bring himself to care. Hidan was something different and wasn’t afraid to take Naruto places he had never thought he would see while he had lived with his foster family. Time had passed with Hidan in a blur, there had been a few close calls, but nothing to really worry about. For the first time in his life, Naruto had felt in control of his own existence. He was out with his foster father for the moment, Danzou saying that he needed help shopping while the other children were being taken to the doctor by his wife. Naruto hadn’t been lucky enough to have needed a trip for a check up so he was stuck with the dour man. It was a warm autumn day, the sun warming the air and bringing people out from their homes. Naruto wished he could have spent it with Hidan, lazing around somewhere in a park where Danzou would never find him. Naruto’s gait was slow and he was sure that his foster father would spout off some nonsense about Naruto being sinful. He had heard the speech enough times to memorize it and could quote it word for word in his sleep. Two more days and he would be eighteen, Naruto keep chanting to himself. He already had an apartment set up as well as a job lined up in a local retail chain. It wouldn’t be the best job, but he would be able to afford living on his own. He had already began packing his belongings and handing them off to Hidan as he snuck out for his nightly excursions with the man. The offer to live with Hidan had been given, but Naruto wanted to live on his own for awhile, to know that he could independent of others. Hidan had understood and didn’t make a huge fuss like Sasuke would have done. Naruto was glad he had happened upon Hidan that night in the bar, it had opened his eyes to a whole new world he had never dreamed of before. Hours were spent with his partner preparing for him for the world that he was kept from. Naruto didn’t even bother to look at Danzou, the man probably knew he was moving out soon anyways. There had hardly been any conversation between them and he knew it was because the man had resigned Naruto to whatever decision he had made. The man may have been overbearing and controlling, but he knew when to leave things alone. Naruto couldn’t say he would miss him or the other children in the family. He had never considered them his family anyway, only Sasuke, Shikamaru, Kiba, Gaara, and Sakura had that honor. It was small family and they weren’t related by blood, but Naruto wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world. They were his no matter how much they fought or how pissed off they were at each other. He knew they would come running to him if he needed the help. He heard Danzou grunt and then mumbled something about disgusting acts of homosexuality. Curious, Naruto moved his gaze from the ground to the direction in which his foster father had been glancing. He was frozen to the spot as he realized it was Hidan kissing another. Naruto’s heart clenched in his chest as his face fell, his eyes dulling as he realized he didn’t mean as much to the older man as he had thought. His emotions twined with one another, creating an abyss that was swallowing him whole. He loved Hidan and had though the other had felt the same or at least thought them monogamous. But the evidence was right in front of him as Hidan ignored the world around him and plundered another’s mouth. Naruto couldn’t stop his legs as they moved, taking steady steps to the little alcove where Hidan was sucking face with another. His footsteps were heavy and his presence alerted Hidan that there was someone else near him. When those deep pink eyes turned to him in surprise, Naruto struck, his hand forming a fist and clocking Hidan in the cheek, the man he had been attached dodging out of the way. Not a word was uttered as Naruto stalked back out onto the sidewalk, Hidan calling out for him. But his shoulders were square and his face determined not to give away a single emotion. His foster father had seen the whole ordeal and was more than likely placing the pieces together as Naruto continued to stalk towards their destination, his shoulders set and his expression grim. Mercy was allowed to Naruto as the old man didn’t pry, not asking questions about what had happened as they shopped. It was pretty much evident by Naruto’s actions that he had been involved with another man and he knew he would be punished. The fleeting expression on Danzou’s weathered face had been enough evidence. For the first time, Naruto didn’t care about his punishment, his mind was too busy trying to process everything that had happened as he tried to put himself back together.
If Hidan and him were a lie, then was he a lie as well? He had blossomed under the other man’s attention after all. Hidan had helped him become who he thought he was meant to be. Naruto felt that uneasiness from a month ago begin to seep into his mind. He had lost himself again or maybe he never became who he thought he was meant to be. His mind wouldn’t slow down its thought process, providing him with a giant headache as the shopping was finished without his knowledge that it had happened while he was warring with himself. On the trip back, Hidan was nowhere to be seen and Naruto didn’t have his cell phone on him to check for messages or missed calls. He couldn’t have checked them anyways if he had wanted to with Danzou present and keeping an eye on him as they walked the three blocks back to the house. Naruto had never referred it to as home nor would he ever in the future. It was just a house with four walls and a family he didn’t belong to. He never understood why Danzou adopted him when the man had children of his own to take care of. Naruto always found it odd but never received an answer. The groceries were put up in complete silence, Naruto moping as he stored them away mechanically. He just couldn’t think anymore, his mind not wanting to admit to what he saw earlier that day. It was hard enough to just move when he wanted to lay on his bed and stare listlessly at his ceiling fan circle above him. There would be no sneaking out tonight, he didn’t know how he would retrieve his possessions from Hidan since he didn’t want to see him. When Naruto had placed the last of the groceries up he turned around to head to his room when he was slapped across the face. Stunned, he looked up to Danzou who gave off an aura of fury. Naruto realized he had outed himself to the man and his blue eyes widened with fear. He had two days before he turned eighteen and until then he was subject to Danzou’s punishments. The man had never laid on him before, preferring to punish him by locking Naruto up in his room. It seemed this time there would be no escape from a physical punishment. Naruto’s survival instincts kicked in as he was slammed against a cabinet, the hand digging deeply in his back as his head ricocheted off the door. He had never Danzou this angry before as he was pinned against the cabinet. His blue eyes were frantic as he heard the knife drawer open as Danzou reached a knife. Naruto tried to wriggle his body free, but the older was stronger than he thought. Tears gathered in his eyes when he felt the cool metal of the knife against his skin. Naruto had never had delusions that Danzou was a good man and this was only the beginning of his torment when the sharp edge cut into his cheek. The pain was unbearable as he howled in agony, his cries filling the kitchen as the action was repeated two more times on his right cheek before the knife was moved to his left. “No one will find you attractive now,” Danzou grunted, dropping the knife to the counter as he gazed upon his work. It was the distraction needed Naruto push the man off him, his adrenaline numbing the pain long enough for him to flee the house, leaving a stunned Danzou behind as he ran. Naruto wasn’t sure where he was heading, only that the adrenaline from before was working out of his system, taking the energy it provided from him. He knew he was in a park, one he was unfamiliar with as he found a bench and parked his body on it. His hands went to his temples as he leaned over, his face between his knees as he tried to come to terms to the past few hours. His mind was overloaded, but there was nothing he could do about that as his thoughts swirled together, becoming a jumbled mess. His fingers caught in his hair as he tried to ground himself, trying to come up with a way to release the pain and helplessness he felt. The pain was becoming unbearable, both physical and emotional. He was losing himself again in the decaying spiral of his mind. He had never thought Danzou would go so far as to maim him. The blood caked on his cheeks provided the evidence he needed to negate his previous thoughts. Naruto had only wanted to find himself, to give himself an identity away from his friends and the stifling household he had lived in. He had thought it had been with Hidan, but perhaps he had been wrong. That September night he had met the other man seemed so far away now, that it was almost like a dream. He could remember how ecstatic he felt to get on a motorcycle for the first time and how free he had felt on it. Not able to sit up any longer, Naruto fell to the ground as he felt the rays of the sun dissipate, the bold colors fading to the black velvet of the night. The cold seeped forward into the night, casting a chill over Naruto’s weary body. He knew he needed to move, to find shelter for the night or a taxi to make it to his new place. He had the key in his pocket, where he had kept it for the last week. His body was just tired and his mind broken, as he laid on the cold ground, curling into himself as much as he could. It did nothing to soothe his aching body and mind as he rolled his body, his phone grating against the ground and sending out a call without Naruto’s knowledge. Lucidity was in and out, there were moments when Naruto was aware of what happened and others where he just cried, his salty tears stingy his cheek as he cried, the forceful sobs wracking his body as his fist curled around a clump of cold dirt. He didn’t care that he was rubbing his wounds against the ground and that he was aggravating them further. He only wanted a reprieve from his mind and the memories that plagued him. When he was lifted from the ground, Naruto was startled, his body flailing in an attempt to get away from the other person. He was hoping it wasn’t Danzou who had found him, afraid the man would maim him further. Naruto was pulled into a warm body, the scent familiar to him and relaxing his body as he nuzzled closer to Hidan. This had been the man who had betrayed him, but he was here now in his time of need. “Fishcake, what the fuck happened to you?” Hidan growled as he took in the cut face, the wounds puffy and more than likely infected. Hidan sat on the bench, cradling Naruto to his body so he could inspect him. He resisted the urge to stroke the cheeks he loved as he took in the shivering frame. It was obvious that Naruto was either going into shock or was already there. Either way, Hidan knew he couldn’t take him to the hospital, knowing that somehow, Naruto’s foster father was responsible. “Hidan...” Naruto whimpered, clutching the shirt in his hand tighter as he curled further into the larger body, seeking out the other’s warmth. “Shush, I have you now. You’re mine and I was a fucking dumbass to think that I didn’t need you. We’ll talk about this later, but first I need to take care of you,” Hidan reassured Naruto, standing as he hefted Naruto’s body into his arms, the blond head resting on a shoulder as comfortable as it could with the deep cuts. Not a word was said, they weren’t needed as Hidan’s actions would speak louder to Naruto. It wouldn’t matter what explanation was given, he knew in the beginning Hidan would be trouble. He hadn’t been aware of what kind, but it didn’t matter in this moment. He was safe in these arms and he knew he would be protected no matter what came their way. Naruto was still himself no matter who he was with and he only needed a shove to find out who he truly was. Hidan didn’t define who he was, he had only helped along his journey as Naruto grew. A small, content sigh left Naruto’s lips when he felt a kiss pressed to the top of his head. He would be fine, he would heal and he would become stronger from this experience. He was Naruto and that was all the confirmation he needed to put his plagued mind at rest.
