Chapter 1: Erase

"Lady Tsunade," Sakura yelled. "Is Naruto ok?"

Tsunade sighed. "Sakura, I need you to gather everyone from Kakashi to Shikamaru. Don't forget Sai."

"Yes, my lady," Sakura did not know what was going on. All she knew was that she had to get all of the members of the rookie 9, Team Guy, and Sai. It was strange that Tsunade did not tell her why, but Sakura couldn't ask since she saw the look on Tsunade's face.

*20 minutes later*

"I have some news I have to tell you," Tsunade began.

"Is it about Naruto?" Lee asked.

"Yes," Tsunade paused. "Naruto pulled through." She paused again to let everyone lets out their sighs of relief and chears of happiness. Then she continued, "however, Naruto is... he has...." She couldn't finish her sentence.

"Naruto has lost all of his memories," Shizune said. "Every memory."

"What?" Sakura cried. "How?"

"When Naruto fell off that cliff, he hit his head. The damage caused his memories to be erased." Tsunade returned to normal.

"What should we do?" Kiba asked.

"For now, I don't want any of you to mention anything about his past. If you see him, introduce yourself as his friend. You have to be gentle." Tsunade took her seat at the Hokage's desk.

"And Sasuke?" Sai asked.

"Do not mention anything about Sasuke. That topic is forbidden." Tsunade demanded.

"Should we try to get Naruto to remember things though?" Sakura did not like the thought of Naruto not having any memory of Team 7.

"Naruto has been through enough pain," Tsunade explained. "Far more than any of us could ever imagine. He is a Jinjuriki after all. And Sasuke is just another painful memory." She looked at the others. "Naruto already knows about his parents and the fact that his is a ninja with the nine-tails sealed inside of him. Yamato, I want you to watch over Naruto. We don't want the Kyuubi taking over. Sakura, I want to you stay by Naruto's side. You too Sai. There may be some simple tasks that he is not use to. Treat him like a baby that can understand everything you say. Kiba, Hinata, Shino, erase anything in Naruto's house that may cause him to remember Sasuke, Kabuto, or Orchimaru. Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, Kakashi, I'm sending you on a mission. I want you to find Jiraiya and tell him the situation. You may run into Akasuki members. Team Guy will go to the Sand and explain everything to the Kazekage. One last thing." Tsunade got up and turned her back to everyone and looked at the faces of the other Hokages. "Naruto may act differently then before. I want you to never forget that his is a member of the leaf and that he is still Naruto. Now move out!" She sat back down and watched everyone but Sakura, Sai and Yamato leave. Shizune went to get Naruto. "Sakura, I'm trusting you to look out for Naruto's health. He may start to remember something. If he remembers anything of great importance, please tell me."

A few minutes later, Shizune brought Naruto into the room. He was still in his hospital clothes. He look like he was spaced out. Then he noticed Sakura, Sai and Yamato.

"Hi. I'm Naruto Uzumaki. It's nice to meet ya!" He smiled.
