YAY! I'm so very happy to see this fic updated again. :-) I had actually re-read the previous chapter when I saw there was an edit, so I was doubly excited when I saw the update. I think I might end up re-reading the whole thing again some time soon.
I hope everything is going well for you. This chapter felt right in place in continuation from last chapter, and I think it's all starting to fit how the two of them sort of missed what each other was saying/thinking. While I get the feeling that Naruto won't be able to truly ever get rid of Sasuke, I still get the feeling that Naruto will have some sort of "revenge" for Sasuke's unfaithfulness. I mean, yes Sasuke took care of him, but he went behind his back too. Though, in some ways, that betrayal was what sort of woke Naruto up. Still, I hope that Sasuke get the idea that what he did was wrong. lol

Oh and also Sasuke didn't give Naruto what he needed when he cheated with everyone! He had to know that promiscuity would come back to haunt him. Besides if he wouldn't let Naruto sleep with other people what made him think it would be acceptable for him...just had to add that point ;-) Really am happy over this chapter!

Thank you for updating Breaking Apart :) This is one of the best pieces of fiction that I have read. The story has really drawn me in and I can honestly say that waiting for the update was like torture lolz.. I love how detailed the story is and how you get really deep into the minds of the characters. The internal dialog is what really makes it so amazing. I took your advice and re-read those chapters as you suggested and I am glad I did. I loved and enjoyed Sasuke's discussion with Neji. I think that he he truly helped Sasuke take a step back from his mania and forced him to think about what he was doing and what he really wanted.
The internal battles Naruto and Sasuke are fighting are just so intense and emotional. Plotting and planning against each other but loving each other at the same time... madness! As messed up as their relationship is - I honestly cannot really see these two with anyone other than each other. Sasuke is a twisted, selfish bastard yes - but I just cannot bring myself to hate him for all that he has done. I'm looking forward to seeing what he plan on doing next very much actually. And Naruto too >_< He really is a surprising dobe. Again, thank you for updating and sharing more of your talent with us.

wow, this update was absolutely worth the wait. it was just so darkly beautiful with the descriptive language evoking feelings. you do good work, and i look forward to sasuke's rocky road. seems like it will be a learning experience for everybody.

This last chapter had tears running down my cheeks. The music I had playing didnt help at all (In your head by Zombie). This story is so painful for me. Just thingking about Sasuke fucking everyone...it breaks me. Weird, huh? Anyway, I hope you get to update soon and also, if you have a mailing list can you please add me? marqqui @ yahoo . com

Hey, what's going on with this story? Its been like FOREVER...maybe a little melodramatic but its been months and this is just such a rich, taleneted plot that it would be a major bummer if you don't finish. Hope you get inspired soon ^_^

If art is intended to make us feel, and literature is art, and fan fics are literature then you are on your way through the process of creating something of a dark and macabre masterpiece.
I have just read chapters 1 to 17 today. I have felt sick, literally nauseaous. My heart aches for Naruto. My mind screams at Sasuke. I desire an evil Sasuke as much as I loathe him. I loathe a weakened Naruto as much as I desire him. I hate Naruto's betraying "comrades". But I know Naruto is NOT weak, that he is resilient...you have allowed us some hints as to what is to come...
You have created a Sasuke that I believe would exist. He IS cold. He IS callous, selfish, cruel. He IS dangerous, more to the spirit than to the physical, because he is damaged, and because underneath it all he is "weak", and shameful.
Your version of Naruto: at first I didnt like it! I hate a wussy Naruto, a damaged or weak or dominated Naruto! But I see what you may be doing. You have entertained the "underneath' with him too. He has a strength of character and a powerful shinobi body to be resilient. Please keep him strong. I want to see him have the fortitude to "break" Sasuke!
Even though I know that Sasuke really does love him, he deserves to know how it feels to lose Naruto, to be punished for everything Naruto went through. I love happy endings, but I am not adverse to "realistic" endings either. Please keep updating...PLEEEASE...PLEEASE...this is an excellent story and I desperately need closure!!

One more thing: Did no one ever tell Sasuke it's not wise to piss in his own pool? How arrogant to think he could fuck the entire village and expect Naruto to be kept in the dark! That verges on plain stupidity!
And Sasuke isnt crazy! NOOOOOO. He is psychotic, psychopathic, pathological - serious flaws apply to him here, not mild ones!
I'm scared that because Sasuke realises at the end of Ch 17 that Naruto intends to give him ONLY one night(where I'm at now) that he will sabotage Narutos ability to leave him during the course of this single night? He is tooo possessive to allow Naruto to leave tomorrow! Or does he realise that he loves him, just enough to let him go? No? Urgh... I hope Naruto's frienship with Gaara is Naruto's salvation and Evil Sasuke's punishment..oh gods...just update...I CAN WAIT PATIENTLY :)
