I am so glad you updated! I think this story is going to turn out awesome. I especially like the fact that so much of it is what characters are thinking. It is hard to write a story that is primarily introspective (at least so far) and still have it be interesting. I also love fact that Sasuke is not entirely in character. It only makes sense that after 20 years that he would have matured and changed and the I love the fact that he is realizing what he really lost and the consequences of his choices.
It is a little slow going right now, but that is to be expected considering the nature of the story and it will probably pick up once it gets into the meat of things. The only real complaint I have is about spelling. There are a lot of easily spotted and fixable errors throughout the chapters that could be dealt with by spellcheck or simply proofreading. Normally I do not rant on things like this, but there are enough simple little errors throughout that they started to become quite distracting (ex. Konoha and Kohana). Other than that it is awesome. Great concept and good pacing and well executed- just need to work on the follow through a little because detracting from such a great story with easily fixed little mistakes like that is sad.
Please update soon! Because some things do not change and Sasuke always goes after what he wants. And it seems like what he wants now is not the family that he lost, but the one he willingly gave up.

Yeah!!! Take that Sasuke! I really like your story a lot and your writing style is very good. I love these stories with Naruto being Hokage and Sasuke the missing-nin hehe. ^^ Anyway i can't wait for the update, please make it soon i love it. ^_^

wow two years huh??? I wouldnt of known if you had not mentioned it, Ive only been a Naruto fanfic fan for about that length of time and I had yet to come across this fic I assume, but I am glad your updating it again, seeems like a really good fic, and not one of those Naru welcomimg home the prodigal son with forginess and all that jazz, good read so far and I hope to read more soon, I thank you for the wonderful read, huggles and smiles Mija...:-)
