"Absent minded"

"Haku! Hurry up!" Zabuza's voice was stren as he hollared to his companion to catch up.

"Yes Zabuza-sama, I'm coming!" Haku had paused to drink from a near by stream and lost track of time due to his daydreaming again. He hated making Zabuza raise his voice at him. For some reason Haku couldn't stop daydreaming lately, no matter what he was doing. Most of his thoughts were about Zabuza. He rose to his feet and quickly scampered to reached Zabuza. "Sorry." he lowered his head.

Zabuza was quiet most of the day, which wasn't unusual. The sun had began to set. They both knew they needed some place to crash for the night until they could continue with their mission in the morning. "Haku, see that cave ahead?"

"Yes."

"Go check it out, we'll be staying there for the night."

Nodding in agreement he dashed to the cave and explored it. "All clear Zabuza-sama!" Haku yelled as he waved his hand signaling to Zabuza.
They headed in and Zabuza stared a small fire to keep them warm and to see, after all it was terribly dark. Night fell and two ninjas situated themselves to get some sleep. Haku layed on his side facing Zabuza and Zabuza was facing the other way. "Good night Zabuza-sama."
"Good night Haku."

For some reason Haku wasn't that tired. He had been walking all day and yet he still couldn't sleep. He sat back up and leaned his back agasint the side of the cave wall. He gave a quiet sigh and he gazed into the dancing flames. Zabuza was fast asleep by now. Haku shifted his eyes and stared at his master. He noticed the way the light from the fire reflected off his dark hair and it casted shadows on his well toned body which made his muscels stand out even more. Haku always admired the way Zabuza looked, he thought he was so beautiful. These were the kind of things he was always thinking about and sometimes he would even think about a deeper relationship with his master. Zabuza groaned and turned over. Haku shuttered and froze as he watched Zabuza move. Luckily he wasn't awake. Haku breathed out a sigh of relife. He didn't want to scolded again for daydreaming. "Oh Zabuza-sama" he said in low whisper, "I want to see your dreams come true..." Haku yawned and layed back down. He slowly closed his eyes and drifted off into a blissful state of oblivion.

Zabuza opened one of his eyes and saw that Haku was sleeping. Unknown to Haku Zabuza had been awake the whole time and heard what Haku had whispered. He never knew Haku felt so strongly about him. He knew he respected him as a teacher, but as possibly something more? Zabuza lifted his head and sat up. He watched Haku sleeping. He too noticed the fire light playing through out Haku's black hair and how it made his beautiful boyish face glow. He even seemed to be smiling while he slept. Haku always seemed to have a smile one his face, like he was living in his own world or something. "Haku.." Zabuza thought to him self. The fire began to die down a bit and Zabuza noticed Haku shivering slightly. "He must be getting cold."

Zabuza moved over to Haku and placed his own blanket over Haku to keep him warm. He move Haku's hair out of his face and slowly dragged his hand across Haku's cheek. Haku's skin was velvety soft and milky white. An impulse caused Zabuza to lower his face to Haku's and just before he planted a kiss on Haku's cheek he snapped back to his senses. "What the hell am doing?" Zabuza thought. He shook his head trying to clear it. He sat with his arms acrossed and a sour look on his face. "Well...now I can't sleep..." he growled to himself. Just then a small hand grazed his lap. Haku had turned slightly and strecthed out so now his hand was on Zabuza's lap. "Dammit! Now I can't move or he'll wake up!" Zabuza was stuck there. An hour had passed and Zabuza had to move. He thought if he slowly moved Haku's hand over he could get out. He lightly grasped Haku's hand and began to slide over to get back to his side. But Haku squeezed his hand lightly almost like he didn't want Zabuza to go and he wanted to hold his hand. Zabuza didn't move, he held onto Haku's hand tighter. His hands we so small and soft. Again he had the impulse to kiss Haku's cheek again, only this time he actually did. Convinced he's got that out of his system he looked into Haku's beautiful face. Haku's lips were slightly parted and he looked so peaceful. Zabuza again wanted to kiss his little servant. He felt wrong though, why would he have some kind of attration to Haku. He hovered over Haku's face and just stared at him. Suddenly Haku lifted his head and met lips with Zabuza. Zabuza's eyes widened and he and Haku locked lips for a few moments. Finally Haku put his head back down and opened his eyes. "Zabuza-sama!?" he was shocked to see his master this close to him. "Zabuza-sama what are y--" Haku's words were cut short by Zabuza's mouth contacting his. Still holding hands Zabuza squeezed Haku's hand tightly. Haku broke away "What are you doing?!" Haku looked confused. "I'm kissing you" Zabuza said in a low seductive voice. "You don't want me to kiss you?" He asked. Haku stammered and looked a"No"No...I.." he didn't even know how to answer.
He looked straight into Zabuza's gleaming eyes and blinked as he leaned into Zabuza's face.......
