Her Majesty's Kiba

(A/N: Hello again, I'm back from haitus and am ready to bring you better stories! A small FYI, the title is play off of Kiba's name, so it basically means "Her Majesty's Fang". This is just a short, sweet smutty Kiba/Hinata Fanfic I got inspired to write after I read a Kiba/Hinata fic that made me totally sad, lol. Poor Kiba, he deserves Hinata! Anyway, please read, review and rate! This story will probably be no longer than 3 or 4 chappies, if it goes past one. (Maybe). ^_^)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The young child heiress looked down at her feet before glancing upwards at her cousin. It’d only been a few days since she’d met him and in that time, he’d managed to actually find a friend.

“Hinata-Chan, this is Inazuka Kiba.”

Hinata looked at her older cousin standing beside a rougher youth, maybe about Neji’s age or so. He was certainly older than her. She bowed slightly and gave shy nod.

“My na…name is Hyuuga Hinata. It’s very nice to meet you, Inazuka-San.”

Kiba gave a small, fangy smile, trying his best to hide the blush burning his cheeks. When Neji said he wanted to introduce her to his ‘little cousin’, he was honestly expecting a stiff, proper girl like Neji, yet here was probably the cutest little girl he’d ever seen. From what Neji had told him, she was the famed Hyuuga heiress, but he’d never heard of a six-year-old heiress. Where were all of her vassals surrounding her and praising her just for looking so adorable? He nodded his head and scratched the back of his head.

“Nice to meet you, Hyuuga-Sama.”

Hinata smiled and gave him a very shy giggle.

“It’s okay! You can call me Hinata. Everyone else does, Inazuka-San.”

“N…no! It’s not right, especially if you say my name so informally. Just call me Kiba!”

”Hai, Kiba-Kun.”

He blushed and smiled once more, before a maid came to escort Hinata for her daily primping and training as a lady. Kiba sighed and walked with Neji who decided he wanted to buy a few things. Kiba hadn’t known Neji for very long, but he’d heard from his aunt that Neji’s dad was killed in a pretty bad way and that left him bitter towards his younger cousin, despite the fact he was supposed to protect her. Kiba could understand wanting to protect her; she was so innocent, she just made you want to lock her away from the cold world. He never thought he’d feel that way about someone two years younger than him, either, but she was just so damn cute! As they walked through the town, they approached the Yamanaka flower shop. Playing in front of the store with a bright, red ball was a pretty blonde with hair already down to her shoulders; Ino. Hinata’s hair had been barely past her ears, Kiba noticed. Playing with the blonde girl was the rounder Chouji. Kiba liked Chouji a lot; he was always jolly and happy, plus if Chouji was near, then so was…

“Hey, look who it is!”

Kiba and Neji stopped in front of the flower shop once the smarter Shikamaru announced his presence as he exited the generationally run flower shop with a bag of herbs.

“Kiba-Kun! Neji-San!” Ino smiled, giving a small wave.

“Hey, guys! What’s up?” Kiba grinned.

“Nothing short of troublesome I’m sure. I’m just getting some herbs for my mom. So, what are you and Neji up to?”

”I just met his little cousin!”

Ino’s eyes widened and she quickly grabbed Kiba’s hands.

“Really? What’s she like? Is she royal and graceful and pretty like a princess?”

Without waiting for Kiba to respond, Neji huffed.

“She’s slow, quiet and cowardly. She’s slow on her training, too.”

“Neji-San! That’s not nice, Kiba might have his own opinion on Hinata-Hime.”

Neji cast a glare at the chubby Chouji. Like any of them really understood what Hinata was like; she was weakling from birth and the fact that someone like HER was the heir of such a powerful family and not he irritated him to no end. Kiba sighed, understanding this was just how Neji was. He looked at Ino who still had his hands, waiting for a response.

“She’s very cute. She’s sorta shy, but that’s what just makes her so cute!”

Kiba tried to ignore his sense screaming at him, ‘Neji is burning a hole into you’.

“I really want to meet her!” Ino smiled.

“You’d have to have the luck of the gods on your side.” Neji huffed.

“What do you mean?” Shikamaru asked, his curiosity finally piqued.

Neji turned his attention to a small rose trying it’s best to bloom. He wondered if that would one day be his younger cousin, but he quickly dismissed the thought as soon as it came.

“Hinata’s life revolves around the Main House. She’s not allowed outside of the estate.”

“Why? That sounds terrible!” Ino yelled.

“It would explain why no one else has seen her, but think about it, Ino-San, the Hyuuga clan is very powerful. If anyone got their hands on Hinata-Hime-Sama, anyone who meant her and her family harm, it could mean terrible trouble.” Shikamaru explained.

“But that’s why you protect her, right, Neji? So nothing terrible happens to her!”

Ino looked at Neji hopefully. He certainly didn’t hate her so that he wouldn’t perform his duties as her ‘caretaker’, would he? Neji turned and headed back towards the estate, leaving the four behind. Kiba watched with cold eyes as Neji disappeared around the corner, not even looking back once. The large, several-storied Hyuuga manor was visible from where the flower shop was and he caught a slight glimpse of Hinata in a window. With his enhanced sight and sense of smell, not only could he see how saddened she looked, he could faintly smell her tears. It must have been so hard on her to be an heiress…

“How do you like that guy? He’s a total jerk!” Ino sighed, breaking into Kiba’s thoughts.

Kiba could only turn and grin.

“It’s okay, Neji’s just being himself. Anyway, I just remembered something I have to do, so I’ll see you guys later.”

Kiba headed off, approaching the large Hyuuga manor once more. He swallowed his complete fear and proceeded inside. After being escorted in by a maid, he waited for no, not Neji, but the current leader of the Hyuuga clan. The door slid open moments later and Kiba bowed at the presence of Hiashi Hyuuga. Everyone did.

“Ah, the young Inazuka boy. How is your father?”

Kiba raised his head nodded.

“My father is well, thank you for asking Hyuuga-Sama.”

”Please, don’t be so formal. Your family has been friends with the Hyuuga clan for years.” Hiashi said, sitting down.

A maid came in and served them tea. After a minute of silence, Hiashi asked Kiba what the nature of his visit was, especially after seeing him just an hour or so earlier walking with his lower-branch nephew.

“Actually, Hyuuga-Sama…I have a request….”

Hiashi listened with great interest at what Kiba had to say. The Hyuuga and the Inazuka had been family friends for a very long time. Hiashi still recalled to this very day when he met Kiba’s father when they were children younger than Hinata. Hiashi nodded once Kiba was done and could only chuckle.

”Well, it’s interesting since you are not a Hyuuga, but I cannot simply relieve Neji of his duty.”

”I…”

“I will however allow your request. I find it admirable. Now, follow me, Kiba-San.”

Kiba got up and followed Hiashi up three fights of stairs before finally arriving at a room that seemed cut off from the rest of the world. Without any warning, Hiashi opened the door, revealing a startled Hinata, dolled up like a princess from the feudal era. She was simply beautiful, but such a massive kimono on her seemed almost smothering.

“Otou-Sama…! Good afternoon.”

“Hinata, this is Kiba.”

Hinata stood up and bowed with a smile.

“Yes, we met earlier, Otousama! How are you, Kiba-San?”

“I…I’m well, Hinata-Hime.”

Hinata blushed and smiled. Hiashi put his hand on Kiba’s shoulder and gave a small smile of approval.

“Hinata-Chan, from today onwards, Kiba shall be your playmate and your guardian as well. Kiba, Hinata, I shall leave you to play.”

Hiashi left, leaving the headstrong eight-year-old with the shy six-year-old. Hinata looked down at her feet, wondering how this came to be. Kiba was Neji’s friend, why would he suddenly be appointed as her playmate?

“So…Hinata-Hime, what do you do for fun?” Kiba asked.

Kiba looked around the room; it was pretty spacious for Hinata, almost as if ten people could fit in it. There weren’t any toys, just kimono, scrolls, books and a large balcony.

“I…well, I do calligraphy…”

Calligraphy? Kiba gave her a blank stare. Is that seriously what she did for fun? Kiba followed her over to the table where she’d been painting a small portrait. It was of a dog running along the hills.

“Hey, a dog!”

”You have a fondness for dogs, Kiba-San?” Hinata smiled.

“Yeah! I have one! His name is Akamaru! He’s a little puppy, but he’s smart as ever. We’re best friends.”

“I’d like to meet him someday…” Hinata smiled.

Kiba blushed. That smile. That girlish, innocent, joyful smile. Kiba found a blank scroll and picked up a paintbrush dipped in black ink. With a focused look in his eyes, he began painting something Hinata could not quite yet make out as she sat beside him.

“I understand that…Neji is reluctant to protect you, Hinata-Hime.”

Hinata turned away from Kiba for a moment. Why would he bring Neji up? Weren’t they friends?

“I…”

“It’s okay. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about you, Hinata-Hime.”

Hinata looked at him, a small blush upon both of their cheeks, yet Kiba maintained his focus on his painting. The finishes product was Hinata playing with the tiny Akamaru. Hinata’s eyes widened at how beautiful it’d come out, using just a few strokes.

“Kiba-Kun…!”

When Hinata broke into a smile and thanked him, Kiba put his hand on her head and gave her a gentle smile.

“Even if Neji doesn’t, I’ll protect that smile of yours without fail. I promise.”

A small tinge of crimson stained Hinata’s cheeks before she smiled shyly.

“Arigato, Kiba-Kun.”
