The Chemicals Between Us
Iruka only managed to wake up the third time the rowdy kitten pounced on his head, batting his wild locks. The insistent mewing and rough tugs finally got his attention and he groaned as he sluggishly reached behind him to untangle Akanbo.
It took thirty minutes to get the damn cat, quite literally, out of his hair. It kept writhing in his careful grasp, only trapping itself more in the chocolate tendrils. When the kitten was free, it took off from the room, crying out his indignation for whoever had a mind to listen.
Iruka laughed as it slowed and went down the stairs backwards, apparently thinking it was safer if it made its way tail first.
He drew a hand through his mussed hair, by now well awake. After a few fumbles, he'd found his glasses underneath the pillow and slipped them on, discovering the time to be well into the early evening. His stomach had quit its rioting and though parts of him still ached slightly, he felt incredibly good.
Iruka stood and went to take a shower, undressing in a hurry and only pausing when he caught sight of himself in the mirror. He blinked and blushed hurriedly, his doe brown gaze sweeping over his hips and thighs.
Light bruises in the shape or hand prints dotted his honeyed complexion, especially his rear. He inspected himself, turning around to stare at his rounded ass, handprints covering the honeyed skin.
The brunette swept his hair aside and took off his glasses, smiling bashfully as he decided he didn't really mind being marked by the taller man. Besides, he had certainly left his own battle wounds on Sasuke last night.
Sasuke pulled his phone from his pocket, dialing his home number as the driver pulled off the highway, heading towards his home, which was scheduled to be painted back to its original color the next day. The line rang a few times before Sasuke heard Iruka's voice.
"Hello?" he asked after turning off the water.
The brunette hadn't felt like leaving the shower stall and now understood why there was a phone installed just outside the glass door.
"Feeling any better?"
Iruka's smile was infectious. "Yes, much better, thank you."
"Good." There was a slight pause. "I didn't interrupt your shower?
He blushed. "How did you know I was in the shower?"
Sasuke smirked. "I can hear the water dripping and the echo in the stall." The driver pulled onto his street, slowly heading up the Uchiha's driveway.
The brunette grinned warmly, turning to lean his back against the slick wall. "Yes, you did interrupt me."
"Mmm, I apologize." Sasuke replied as he shut the front door to his home behind him. "Were you in there long?" He asked setting down his laptop and briefcase as he headed for the stairs.
"No, a few minutes, I still have shampoo in my hair." Iruka slid his hand through his silken locks, wringing out some of the water.
Sasuke's smirk grew as he walked down the hall. "What were you doing before I called?"
The smaller man blushed deeply. "Hentai! I wasn't doing anything!"
"Mm hmm." Sasuke replied sounding skeptical while walking though his room. He stopped in the doorway to the bathroom.
Iruka went a bright red in a matter of seconds. "I'm hanging up now, good bye." He followed through without another word, shifting to turn the shower on again to rinse his hair.
The younger man cleared his throat as he closed and slid his cell phone into his coat pocket, a smirk curled gracefully on pale lips. "You look cute when you blush."
The smaller man gasped, jolting under the hot spray as he spun around. "Sasuke! Don't do that!"
The smirk grew into a smug grin. "I thought you'd like to know the restraining order is in place, you can go back to your apartment without having to worry about reporters, as well as the university."
The Uchiha walked into the bathroom a few feet, stopping to lean against the counter just across from the clear glass shower door.
Iruka's blush stayed strong as he washed the soap from his body. "Thank you for doing that..." He noticed where Sasuke's gaze was settled and his face grew redder.
"Enjoying your handiwork?" he asked lightly, motioning to the bruises.
"I didn't know..." Dark eyes darted up to Iruka's face again.
The smaller man smiled softly, brushing hair from his face as he met the black gaze. "I don't mind."
Sasuke waited a few more minutes before speaking again. "I have a plane to catch in a few hours."
Iruka looked up, shutting off the water. His cheeks were still flaming with embarrassment from having his boyfriend watch him bathe. He stepped out of the stall and wrapped a large towel around his waist.
"That's short notice isn't it?"
"I just found out myself, I came home to check on you and pack." The taller man didn’t move as Iruka stepped closer to him, his glasses lying on the counter behind Sasuke.
"Oh..." he rubbed his scar. ”How long will you be gone?"
"I'm not sure, a week at most." Sasuke tilted his head slightly to look at the other man.
Iruka stepped forward, leaning his frame against the taller one, hesitating before glancing up with a small grin. "How much time did you say you had before your plane leaves?"
"A few hours." The Uchiha replied returning the mischievous smile as he curled his arms around Iruka, loosening the towel as his fingers fanned lightly over the smooth skin.
The brunette moaned breathily after finishing his second shower, walking awkwardly to the bed. He sank into the plush covers, small whimpers still erupting from his throat as the aftershocks pulsed through him. Sasuke followed after him, eyeing the petite shivering body with a predatory gaze.
Iruka moved to close his thighs, holding his hands between his legs to ward off the piercing stare. "No more," he pleaded softly, still dizzy from the last orgasm.
"I need to pack anyway." Sasuke replied tucking the towel in on itself around his waist, still smirking at the brunette who was now hiding under the covers.
Iruka just groaned, his muscles twitching in pleasure as he tried getting back to coherent thinking. He pulled the blankets over his head, calming himself down while trying to stop the little moans coming from his lips. He shifted onto his stomach, his entrance aching delightfully, tilting the covers back to watch Sasuke.
"Thank you," the professor murmured.
Sasuke gave the peeking professor a smirk before disappearing into his large walk-in closet. After a few minutes of hearing Iruka's soft erotic sounds, it grew quiet, save for the sharp chirp of crickets just outside the windows.
The Uchiha emerged from the closet, still in just a towel but he was completely dry, save for the roots of his dark locks, with his suitcase in hand.
There brunette stretched his legs out comfortably as he rolled onto his back. "I don't know if I can wait an entire week for that again."
"I don't know if I'll actually be gone a whole week..." Sasuke replied as he crawled onto the bed from the foot of it, his milky skin contrasting sharply with the crimson comforter.
Iruka fought in vain to keep the blankets between them, but lost the short tug of war the Uchiha initiated. He laughed and turned his face away to hide his rampant blush as he was uncovered and stared at.
"What are you doing? Haven't you had enough yet?”
"Have you?" came the simple reply as dark eyes met deep brown. Sasuke slowly lowered his head, lips ghosting over the pulsing vein in Iruka's slender neck that had been exposed to him.
The smaller man smiled and drew his legs around the billionaire’s waist, locking his ankles to keep him captured.
"Never," he groaned, titling his head back for more kisses. "Ngh...Sasuke...I don't think you have enough time for it again..."
The smirk appeared on Sasuke's lips once again.
"Maybe not for me." He replied before capturing the smaller man's lips in a heated kiss as pale hips rolled against honeyed ones.
Sasuke left the petite brunette in a writhing mass again, wiping his lubricated fingers on his towel before turning to get dressed. Iruka was giving the sexy little moans again, egging on the strong erection the Uchiha sported. It took a few minutes to get the unwilling organ tucked inside his pants, but the sated look on Iruka's drowsy face was worth it.
The professor gazed at him with a half lidded and hungry stare, his smooth and warm thighs still open and inviting. Sasuke closed his eyes quickly.
The young billionaire was torn, his raging erection now neatly tucked, and pitched in the pressed black pants was telling him to pound the smaller man into the mattress but the reasoning side of his brain was telling him he needed to do it quickly... wait, what?
Sasuke growled to himself before turning back around and reaching for the professor’s writhing hips, pulling the smaller frame easily to him at the edge of the bed.
Iruka gave a breathless laugh, his dizzying smile plastered to his face as he lifted his legs automatically over Sasuke's broad shoulders. "You're going to be late for your flight...."
Neji glared at his boss and friend as the taller man loped toward him. His gait was easy and relaxed and the bastard didn't even try to hide the fact that he just had one hell of a fuck. The Hyuuga seethed, glancing critically at Sasuke's un-tucked shirt, slightly mussed hair and easy smirk.
Sasuke boarded their chartered jet behind the Hyuuga, dropping his carry on in the closest chair before collapsing down into the next one, deciding on getting sleep before anything else.
"You don't have to advertise it." Neji said flatly as he loosened his tie.
"I'm not advertising anything." Sasuke replied with his eyes closed, using the same tone as his companion.
"With that dumb ass smirk of yours someone might think you're actually happy." Neji added pulling off his coat and laying it over his own briefcase.
Sasuke half ignored the Hyuuga's last comment. "What does it matter if I actually was? ... Where's Sai?"
As if on cue, the Uchiha's assistant appeared with a large grin plastered on his face.
"Apparently I'm the only one not getting laid." Neji sighed slightly rubbing his temples.
Iruka slept until the next morning, soft moans only stopping after midnight. His body still hummed with pleasure and even the plush towel against his skin after the shower gave him goose bumps. He grinned widely as he got dressed, slowly packing his clothes away to take them back to his apartment.
He had enjoyed staying here with Sasuke, but without the Uchiha around, it wasn't as great a place to be. And he missed the city and his friends.
After deciding Sasuke wouldn't mind, Iruka dressed in one of his buttoned down shirts. The black silk looked good on him, even though he had to roll up his sleeves several inches to have use of his hands. He collected Akanbo's things and called a cab, knowing he had class that afternoon. The foolish grin refused to go away and he was questioned for it for the next few days.
Iruka tapped his pen against the small stack of papers he was grading as they sat on the patio at a busy cafe. The city was loud in the peak of the afternoon as people walked by in thick crowds. A few people recognized him from the tabloids and instantly craned their necks to see if Sasuke was around. When all they found was Anko, they would give a disappointed sigh and move along.
"Stop poking me," he ordered, not glancing up from his work.
"So how was it, you've been glowing for days." Anko lifted the glazed doughnut up, inspecting it before taking a bite.
"Which one are you referring to?" Iruka teased good-naturedly.
"How many times did you do it before he left?" the female brunette asked, slightly startled.
He just laughed, unable to stop his furious grin. "Don't ask things like that!"
"So... more than three times." Anko answered for the smaller man as she took a drink of her coffee. "Looks like you'll need a new vibrator for while he's gone.... I don’t think the one you own now is that good."
Iruka blushed darkly, automatically checking to see if anyone had overheard. "You're not dragging me to another sex shop."
Anko smiled sweetly. "It's alright, I'll show you this website I found when we go back to campus."
He closed his eyes as he turned a flirty shade of red. "I think you're missing the point. Besides, he'll be back at the end of the week."
"I'm not missing it." Anko replied quickly. "But I'm not the one addicted." She glanced up as a few more people stopped to stare at the English professor.
Iruka waited until they had passed. "I think I've gone passed addicted to obsessed."
The busty woman laughed. "I was trying to be nice.” She poked Iruka in the arm again.
"Stop that," he said grinning before checking his watch. "We should go, by the time we get through traffic we'll be right on time."
Sasuke drummed his fingers on the deep cherry glossed table as he, Neji and Sai waited in a conference room of a rather small building. Sai glanced down at his watch before checking his appointment page to make sure they were in the right place at the right time.
"It's fifteen past." Neji said flatly.
Sasuke glanced out the window, staring at the surprisingly dreary afternoon sky. The grey clouds seemed to be hanging low in the sky, threatening rain, but never spilling a drop. The door opened and a blonde woman, followed by a spiky haired brunette then a short red headed man entered the room. Sasuke, Neji and Sai stood up.
"Temari." The blonde introduced herself to the men after setting down her briefcase. "Sorry to keep you waiting."
"It's alright, we aren’t in a hurry." Neji replied shaking her hand after the Uchiha.
Sasuke observed the other two, the taller sitting down with a slight grin pressed on his lips as he looked over the three darker haired men now sitting down across from him. The redhead said nothing either, simply sitting down after shaking their hands. His light green eyes were watching Sasuke intently.
Temari grinned wolfishly, cocking her hips at a sharp angle. "Shall we get started? I'd hate to waste more of your time."
They got comfortable in the large room, each taking a seat around the wide circular table. Gaara's stare was unwavering and eerie, but Sasuke didn't flinch.
"So?" Temari simpered. "You have numbers to show us?"
Neji raised a sharp brow as Kankurou leaned forward, resting his elbows on the heavy wood as he leered almost rudely.
"Forgive my sister, she's annoying."
Temari shot him a glare.
Sai was already digging though his files to retrieve the packets of forms, charts, numbers and everything else the three would need. Sasuke continued to stare at the redhead across from him.
"I'm assuming you came prepared as well then." Neji said as the short haired man next to him stood and handed Temari the packets.
"We have the sites you may build at," Gaara said, voice strangely void of emotion.
Temari and Kankurou glanced at their little brother before the tall brunette tossed the folders of the information they needed.
Sasuke looked down at the folder, opening it and glancing at the top paper. "I have the money you need to keep this project going for the rest of your lives."
Temari almost gasped reading over approximately how many new jobs would be available when everything was set up.
"Their training is paid for as well." Neji looked over at Sai, signaling for him to make sure he had the contracts ready. "We've prepared everything in the contracts since our last meeting." The Hyuuga stated.
"That seems like a low sum of workers," Kankurou said, running his finger along his penciled brows. "Maybe we should renego--"
"Done," Gaara interrupted. His brother made a sour face, the make-up over his eyes and lips creasing with the expression.
"Don't cry toy boy," Temari quipped with a snide grin.
Kankurou snapped his head around. "They are NOT toys! I told you!"
"You and your dolls," she said.
"Stop calling them that! They're puppets! It's a rare talent to be able to make puppets!"
"I stopped playing with Barbie when I was ten."
"Shut up!"
Gaara closed his eyes. "Quiet." The room went silent in a heartbeat.
Sasuke kept his eyes on Gaara who had the faintest curl of a smirk to his lips. "Whatever you need Uchiha." He added onto his previous statement before holding out his hand for Sai to hand him the contract to sign.
The short haired raven handed Gaara the forms and a pen, quickly pulling his hand away from the eerie man. Sasuke waited, his dark eyes watching as the other signed in all the necessary places before setting the pen on top of the small stack and pushing it over for Sasuke to sign them as well.
Once all the necessary forms were signed and everyone shook hands they left, Kankurou still half objecting their deal while arguing with Temari over his choice of hobbies.
“And here you said it would be a week.” Sasuke said as they climbed into the limo waiting for them outside. Sai closed the door once they were all in.
“I thought it would, four days is still a bit much.” The Hyuuga replied glancing out the window as Gaara, Kankurou, and Temari climbed into their limo.
“Isn’t Tsume here this week?” Sai asked as he was tucking papers back into their appropriate folders. Neji sighed slightly remembering the last time they had meet up with the wild woman for drinks.
“Yes, she is.”
“I’m sure Chouza is here as well…” Sai started.
Sasuke looked down at his watch again before pulling out his phone and selecting Shikamaru’s name in his address book before hitting send.
After a few rings he picked up. “Yeah?”
“Where are you?” There was a burst of laughter from the other side of the phone before the brunette on the other end sighed.
“Same restaurant they always go to when we are here….” Shikamaru replied. “If you hurry, you might get here before they are plastered---get off me!” Shikamaru yelled loudly before the phone clattered to the floor.
“Is that him?!”
“No!”
“Hello?!”
Sasuke hung up the phone before nodding at Neji who knocked on the privacy window behind him, their driver rolling it down for the Hyuuga to give him the new destination.
“It’s not even seven yet.”
“They are still on our time; it’s past nine to them.” Sasuke replied dryly as they turned onto the freeway.
As soon as they walked through the doors of the loud bar, the Uchiha and Hyuuga were wrapped up in a great bear hug, squished together until they had to struggle for release. Sai drifted into the background, having barely escaped Tsume's long reach.
The tall woman was already plastered and wobbling. "You made it!" she hollered needlessly.
"And we'd like to keep breathing, if you don't mind." Neji replied forcing himself away from the breast his face had been pushed into.
Sasuke was a bit luckier and had managed to turn his face so only the right side of his face was squished into the other breast.
Tsume laughed loudly, her knees buckling as she dragged the two men to the ground. She suddenly paused and gave the side of Neji's face a long wet lick. Neji looked highly affronted and sat there in shock.
"The Snozberries taste like Snozberries!" Tsume exclaimed joyously.
Sasuke, while Tsume was busy tasting the Hyuuga, was somehow able to pry himself out of the tight hold his head had been in and kneeled.
"Would you kindly let him go? I need him to negotiate with the contractor tomorrow." The Uchiha asked as Chouza and Shikaku made their way over to them, having been in the bathroom.
"One last thing," Tsume demanded.
She snaked her hand to the pale eyed boy's crotch and had herself a good grope. Neji squawked indignantly and twisted from her grasp, his face red with fury.
Chouza looked hurt for a few seconds before Neji bumped into the large man, aggressively trying to straighten out his shirt and tie. Sasuke and Shikaku helped Tsume back to a standing.
"Where's Shikamaru?" The raven asked looking at his friend’s father.
"I think he's still at the table, holding it for us."
"This place is packed!" Tsume said loudly.
Chouza narrowed his eyes at Neji before sweeping his arm around his girlfriend. The woman immediately squealed with joy and pounced on him, actually managing to drag him to the floor. Shikaku stared blandly for a few moments before just turning and leaving the couple behind.
"I need another drink," the scarred brunette grumbled.
"Me too." Neji followed quickly, leaving Sasuke behind to deal with the drunken woman.
"Not here...." Chouza mumbled softly, looking up at Sasuke who sighed and leaned down to help him roll Tsume off him.
Tsume purred as she eyed Chouza through hooded lashes, tossing her wild hair back. "Mm...but Chouza-sama...your little cupcake needs some cream filling...can't you help me out?"
The large man went beet red. The combination of a sexy woman and the mention of food seemed to be a big button to push when turning him on. "T-Tsume...! Not here!"
"Come on, Tsume." Sasuke said flatly, grabbing the motherly like woman by the elbow and tugging lightly. "I'd like to get a drink before Neji downs it all."
Chouza started walking, fighting with the brunette as he took just a few small steps. She shoved Sasuke away from her, climbing her boyfriend's back until she was perched on his great shoulders.
"Tsume! Be careful!" Chouza said nervously.
"Hey! Sasuke!" Shikamaru called from across the room, waving them over.
Sasuke turned, leaving the couple behind, quickly pressing himself between people as he slipped over to the table and taking the stool-chair between Shikamaru and Neji. The Hyuuga pushed over a glass of the strongest Sake the bar sold.
"Cheers." He said softly before downing his cup of the strong tasting liquid he held in his hand.
Shikaku sighed and glanced around. "He's supposed to be here...hey! Over here!"
The others looked up to see him waving to a tall blonde man with amazingly blue eyes and a charming face, aged slightly with laughter. Inoichi grinned and waved back to his friend, receiving a bellowed greeting from Tsume and a giant hug from Chouza. Sasuke nodded at the blonde before the man stuck out his hand for the raven to shake.
"It's been a long time, Sasuke." He said smiling.
Sasuke nodded. "It has." The raven replied as Neji eyed the man with longer hair than his own, the light blonde locks pulled into a ponytail high on his head.
"This is Hyuuga, Neji." Sasuke motioned towards his pearled eyed companion.
Their introduction was interrupted as Sai hip-checked Neji to the side, pressing himself dangerously close to the handsome blonde.
"Hello, I'm Sai," he said with a wide smile. "I'm more interesting than Neji. Pay attention to me."
"Inoichi." He greeted Sai with the same smile as he had the others before lifting his tall glass to his lips and drinking down the last of the bronze liquid.
"Everyone's here then?" Chouza asked as he and Tsume joined them.
"Yeah." Shikamaru took a quick drink of his imported beer before the waitress came over, bringing them another pitcher of alcohol and another bottle of warm Sake.
Sai stuck to Inoichi's side for the rest of the night, doing his best to horde the tall man's attention. The time passed as everyone steadily grew as drunk as they could possibly be while still managing to stay standing. Shikaku stayed the most sober of the bunch, knowing he would have to get everyone to their hotels.
Tsume was leaning against Chouza telling very loud and very bad dirty jokes. Sai was flirting with the extremely plastered blonde man, the two disappearing sometime during the telling of 'beenie weenie'.
Shikamaru groaned as Tsume started another joke. "I've had enough." He said setting down his glass.
"Stay! Have a few more drinks!" Tsume exclaimed.
"It's not the drinks I've had enough of." Shikamaru replied.
Sasuke moved, bumping into the brunette. "Long day tomorrow. I'm going too, Hyuuga?" The raven looked over at Neji who was slowly drifting asleep.
"Yeah." He replied taking one last long drink.
"Can you make it?" Shikaku asked Shikamaru, shifting to stand.
"Yeah, dad, you have your hands full enough with them."
The scarred brunette turned to look at Tsume and Chouza and sighed seeing that the busty woman was practically giving the large man a hand job through his pants.
Their short trip ended soon enough, but an obstacle in the form of angry stock holders reared its head, delaying them for two long weeks. Only after calmly suggesting that the annoying men either invest with him or take their money and invest it elsewhere was Sasuke released to return home.
Their journey home was further halted by bad weather just outside of Fire Country's border, forcing Sasuke, Neji, and Sai to wait another day. By the time their flight was finally on route again, everyone could feel the waves of annoyance rolling off the Uchiha's body.
When they landed in Konoha the three were tired and two of them were slightly grouchy. Sai had found a guy in the airport bar, leaving his bosses behind for some quick sex in the bathroom before they had departed. His smile hadn't waned since.
Once in the limo waiting for him, Sasuke pulled out his phone, dialing Iruka's number to tell the professor that he was home.
Iruka smiled brightly, even though Sasuke's voice sounded tired as he sat in the back of his cab with Anko. She picked at her nails as they were driven to their apartment building, completely ignoring him.
"I'm glad you're back," he said, unable to hide his excitement. "You were gone for too long."
"It wasn't by choice." Sasuke replied his long fingers rubbing against his forehead before sliding down to pinch the bridge of his nose.
"Everything is alright?' He asked wondering if it was just his return that had the smaller man sounding so excited or if there was anything else going on with him, considering Sasuke didn't get much time to socialize the past two weeks.
"Everything's fine," Iruka laughed. "I just missed you."
He blushed quickly, suddenly feeling his mouth go dry at the tiny slip. He didn't mind Sasuke knowing he had been missed, but saying it out loud left the professor feeling slightly vulnerable and at a disadvantage.
He also didn't want to sound woman-ish, and the look Anko was sliding him told him he had done just that. Iruka turned away, glancing at the passing buildings as they moved slowly through the heavy afternoon traffic.
"Anko is throwing a party...at my apartment tonight," he said quickly. "Do you think you can make it? Or would you rather have some time alone?"
"What time?" Sasuke's reply was quick as he lifted his hips off the seat, reaching for his wallet to pay for the ride as the car stopped in front of his newly re-painted house, the horrible pink color long gone.
"Thanks." He nodded at the man before he drove off.
"I just need to change." Sasuke added to his question, letting Iruka know he would be there.
"No," the brunette said firmly. "You need to sleep. I won't let you come if I know you haven't rested enough."
Anko snickered at his last statement and it took Iruka a few seconds to realize why it was funny. He rolled his eyes at his friend's perverted mind.
Sasuke could hear Anko's distinctive laugh on the other end of the line. "I'll be there."
He left no room for argument in his statement. Sasuke shut the front door behind him, heading into the kitchen to get a drink of water before heading upstairs.
"What time would you like me to get there?" He asked again after taking a long drink.
"After you've slept," Iruka retorted. "You sound exhausted."
"I'm just annoyed." Sasuke replied setting the bottle down on the table just inside the closet door. "I'll be there in an hour."
Iruka couldn't help but smile, knowing that people wouldn't start arriving until well into the night. His watch told it to be just after two and he was already planning on making Sasuke sleep in his apartment. Besides, he had missed his taller lover more than he had realized.
"Alright...be at my place at three," he said softly. "You can invite whoever if you'd rather not be surrounded by my co-workers all night."
"Shikamaru will be there, I'll be fine." Sasuke replied reaching for a black button up shirt and matching slacks, the Uchiha not owning a single pair of jeans since he was a teenager. "Alright, I'll see you then."
"Good bye," Iruka muttered before they each hung up.
He sighed lightly, leaning against the back of the seat as he smiled, warmth spreading through him. Anko glanced him over, shaking her head as a half grin formed over her lips. She scooted closer to her childhood friend, wrapping her arms around his waist.
"You're so cute when you're in love," she teased gently.
Iruka blushed a faint pink, not bothering to argue as they finally made it home.
A/N: Dom: I'm drunk right now. *raises wine glass* Enjoy.
