After the Rain
Chapter 10, The Discovery
"Lady Tsunade," Shizune yelled, bursting into her office, "I have found something that you might want to see." She hands the folder over to Tsunade who takes it greedily.
"Read his file. It says he was assigned to a mission three years ago by the Third Hokage."
"Most interesting, indeed. How come we weren't informed of this sooner?" Tsunade asked quickly.
"I just found this record," Shizune explained. "It was hidden away from anyone's eyes."
"I see," Tsunade agreed, "A secret mission involving a genin. Most interesting."
Shizune sat down on the floor. "I'm sorry if this upsets you, Lady Tsunade."
"Shizune," she laughed, "Do you know what this means?"
"I have no idea, Lady Tsunade."
"This means that Sasuke Uchiha is not a traitor. We need to make sure he finishes his mission. I guess that's what Naruto, Neiji and TenTen went for. I sent Kakashi and Iruka out after them, to make sure that they didn't have any complications with Orochimaru."
"You mean, after the curse mark, he went with Orochimaru for a mission? He didn't just leave of his own accord?" Shizune questioned.
"Everything we knew was just proved false. I just wonder when Sasuke was going to kill Orochimaru," Lady Tsunade thought out loud. "This just proves everything that we knew to be wrong. I wonder what else the Third Hokage did that we don't know about."
"There's no telling, Lady Tsunade," Shizune said softly.
"I am going to find out," Tsunade said.
*With Naruto*
"Okay, let's go find Sasuke now!" Naruto commanded, wanting to go and start the search for Sasuke as quickly as he could. He wanted to look into his eyes once again. He knew the feeling that he had to be next to him, and he wanted to experience that once again, even if only for a moment.
"Okay, let's start the search," Neiji gave in. He was ready for Naruto to shut up. He wanted to find Sasuke too, but Naruto was getting way too excited.
"I'm ready to find him too, Neiji," TenTen admitted. "It's been too long without him. I can't possibly imagine anymore time without him there in the Leaf Village."
"I am going to search alone," Naruto explained. "I want to talk to him alone if I end up finding him."
"Fine then," Neiji told him. "Meet us back at the inn an hour before sunset. If you don't show up, we will come looking for you and you don't want that."
"Yes, Neiji," Naruto gulped. He started off on his own. He was determined to find Sasuke alone. He wanted to see his face, his soft face. "Believe it! I'm going to find Sasuke today!"
"Naruto, don't you think 'believe it' is getting a little old?" Neiji asked.
"Not at all! Believe it!" Naruto exclaimed.
*Flashback*
"Sasuke, one of these days I'm going to be the Hokage. Believe it!" Naruto told him. "No one will stand in my way and you'll be right there by my side."
Sasuke blushes and kisses Naruto quickly. "Don't ever change, Naruto. Don't let anyone ever change you. I love you just how you are now." Sasuke knew that deep in his heart most of the village would probably shun them for their relationship, especially if Naruto were to become the Hokage. But, he would stick by Naruto through the good and the bad, he was in love, that was his duty.
Naruto looked into Sasuke's eyes and for that moment they shared a gaze together, better understanding each other. They had grown alot since they graduated the academy and their relationship had grown the most. They were able to work as an efficient team, without even speaking to each other during a battle. They knew each others movements. The fact that Naruto was trying to protect Sasuke made him fight even harder. They were in love and nothing was going to stop them.
"I won't change, Sasuke. Believe it," Naruto told him softly. "I won't change for anything."
"Naruto, don't stop saying believe it, either. I know it may get on some people's nerves, but I find it to be quite endearing." Sasuke layed back on the grass and sighed. He looked up at the clouds, trying to guess what a few of the shapes were.
"Whatcha looking at Sasuke?" Naruto asked curiously.
"The clouds," Sasuke replied.
Naruto layed on his back, right next to Sasuke, putting one hand behind his head. He grabbed Sasuke's hand with the other and held it. At this time, Naruto thought nothing could go wrong. Nothing bad was going to happen at all. He was not going to let anyone spoil his fun time with Sasuke. He moved closer to Sasuke. He moved himself on top of Sasuke and began kissing him.
Sasuke giggled, "Oh, Naruto, you little devil." Sasuke kissed him back furiously.
"Sasuke, you have no idea what I want to do to you right now," Naruto told him, as he was pulling off Sasuke's shirt, then his own.
"Ahem," came a familiar voice.
Naruto and Sasuke instantly broke apart and looked at this person who interrupted them. "Kakashi-sensei!!!!" They both said loudly. They both stood up.
"Kakashi-sensei, I was busy," Naruto explained, "Do we have a mission?"
Sasuke just stood there, looking pissed, his shirt was removed and someone interrupted his Naruto time. Someone was going to pay.
"First off, if you two are going to go at it, please get a room. No one wants to get lost on the path of life to find you two together. Yes, we do have a mission, we need to go and see the Hokage. So, hurry up and get your clothes back on and we shall speak of this moment to no one, understood."
"Yes, Kakashi-sensei," They both chimed.
"Good," Kakashi told them as he quickly left.
"That pervert, I bet he was watching us," Sasuke said.
*End Flashback*
Naruto walked through the streets, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Uchiha that still held his heart. He searched high and low for him and soon after a few hours, against Neiji's best wishes, he went hunting for a ramen shop. He was about to walk into one, but he was grabbed from behind, someone's hand was over his mouth. Whoever this person was, they were strong and had Naruto unable to move. He was moved into an alleyway and then into a tiny room. A muffled 'Who are you?' was what he kept asking over and over again.
Naruto feared for his life now, he should have listenend to Neiji, but his stomach told him not to. Now, whoever this was, they were going to fight him, and if he was overpowered that easily, then he was afraid. The assailant let him go and Naruto met eyes with Sasuke Uchiha once again.

Chapter 10, The Discovery
