Heat

Yoshino was getting irritated, she loved Naruto and understood that things were complicated now that he had unexpectedly changed back to his original form, plus a few inches, apparently pregnancy hadn't hindered his growth. But why couldn't she see her son, Tsunade's aide Shizune had said he was being examined due to some side effects of the bond he shared with Naruto but why couldn't she just see him for a few seconds and why was her grandson with him and not with Naruto if he were being examined, wouldn't the baby be a hinderance. Then she saw the door open as Tsunade exited and she ducked under Naruto's arm and slipped in, there on the bed was a beautiful young brunette nursing Shikaikou, but Shikamaru wasn't there.

"Excuse me, but where is my son? Are you Shikaikou's wet nurse?" The woman looked up and blushed as she put the baby on her bare shoulder and patted his back, her eyes looked strangely familiar to Yoshino as well. "Uh... I was just..." Naruto opened the door his mother-in-law had kindly slammed in his face and then darkly answered, "That is your son, Mom." Thanks to quick reflexes Naruto managed to catch her before she hit the floor, "Smooth move koishii." Naruto shrugged as he looked down at the woman he held, "Sorry, I just wanted to help."

After laying Yoshino on the bed, Naruto took his son and watched his new wife disappear hoping she came back before Tsunade did, '...why can't life ever seem to stay calm for longer than a few days?' As he laid the sleeping baby down beside his grandmother he turned to see Shikamaru and her father reappear. "Well Naruto, I guess complicated is your middle name, but is Nara still your last name or is my heir now an Uzamaki?"

Naruto looked at the man who in one short year become the father he'd never known, he put his hand on his shoulder and then seriously answered his question, "I'm a Nara if you will still have me, and who knows with gender musical chairs, we could switch again before you know it, as long as you still claim me then no matter the gender I am, I will be Nara." Shikaku nodded one worry off his shoulders as he looked at his wife, he smiled then seeing her lying on the bed. "You know she often fainted when she was pregnant with Shikamaru, any little scare or shock, it really pissed her off, and of course Mom was no help calling her weak. But she hasn't fainted since then..."

Shizune entered the room that was suddenly brimming with people, "What's going on in here?" Shikamaru calmly explained the events of the last few minutes to her and she gave him a scowl, "You, girly, aren't suppose to be going anywhere or using chakra are you? I thought Tsuande told you to stay put. Move Naruto and let me check out Nara Yoshino." The tall blond moved his broad back hiding his wife as she stuck her tongue out at the medic-nin and Shizune sat on the bed to slowly examine the older woman, looking at Shikaku she asked, "How old is your wife Nara-san?"

Shikaku hesitated for only a second then answered, "She turned forty-two in February. Why?" Shizune seemed to ignore the question as she let her hand run down his wife's side only to hesitate, then smile. "Shikaku, I know you love your son, but did you ever consider a girl... or want a daughter?" All three of them looked at her as she spoke the seemingly 'out of the blue' question, then Shikaku asked, "No disrespect but what does that have to do with this?"
Again the woman smiled then gently tucking a loose hair behind his wife's ear she answered, "Because in about eight months Shikamaru will have a little sister Nara-san, Yoshino is pregnant." Two for two Naruto caught the older man as he staggered his knees buckling. "WHAT?"

Shikamaru sat down near his mother and gently rubbed her cheek then he whispered, "This time Mom it will be different." Shizune felt slightly out of the loop as the two men looked at each other before turning to Shikamaru, then all three nodded.


Yoshino seemed to start waking up and when she opened her eyes she saw Shikamaru, "Shikamaru? I know I keep teasing you about wanting a daughter, but..." She frowned when this brought chuckles from everyone, "What are you all laughing at, I know I'm no ninja, but fainting when you see your son nursing a baby... with breasts, well that isn't normal you know." Shizune excused herself with a pointed look at Shikaku and then the two leaned down and with kisses to both her cheeks Naruto picked up Shikaikou and putting an arm around Shikamaru they left too.

Yoshino nodding in confusion as she saw her husband sit beside her. "What... I'm sure I'll be fine if I could just take a nap, I've been really tired lately. He knows I love him no matter what, right?" Shikaku smiled then kissed his wife, when he leaned back thinking of the wild afternoon after Shikaikou's homecoming, then he started a conversation he never thought he'd have, "Koishii, I think a nap is what caused this."

Naruto and Shikamaru walked slowly home, Shikamaru held their son securely against her chest. Naruto had his arm around her waist and the two stopped when they heard someone yell Naruto's name. "Hey Uzamaki! Got your balls back and already cheating on Shika, I never would have dreamed you'd be such a dobe." They turned to see Kiba closing in on them, and Naruto desperately tried not to smile when Shikamaru, hissed, "Awww shit not him! Not now..."

Naruto turned and then scratched the back of his head as he smiled, "Hey Kiba... you got it all wrong, I'd never cheat on Shikamaru." Kiba caught up to them and seeing the petite woman holding Shikaikou he then asked her, "Well then beautiful please tell me you're some single cousin of Nara's I haven't met, because I'd love to take you out." Naruto felt his fists tighten and tried to count, it was just Kiba being well... Kiba.

Shikamaru's blush rivaled Hinata's, but the she took a deep breath then leaning forward she whispered huskily, "But Kiba-kun, my husband is very jealous, he can be just like a demon." Kiba frowned at the word husband but then with the grin that kept him in dates he quipped, "Aww gorgeous, you're married, have you ever considered leaving him? I'm sure we could find plenty to keep us occupied."

The soft tap on his shoulder made him turn toward Naruto and then he looked into red eyes and heard a gruff voice, "Don't touch her!" Kiba backed away slowly and Shikamaru moved between them, "Naruto calm down... you can't let Kyuubi take advantage of this. Kiba, I'm Shikamaru... I'll explain later but now... go home!"

Kiba nodded and backed away slowly as he saw the small brunette place her hand on the chest of the most powerful display of jealousy he'd ever seen. Then he saw Naruto blink he's eyes flashing between the red and normal vivid blue, Naruto pinned him with his glare and spoke again, "Go Kiba... just go." Without needing more coaxing Kiba turned and jumped to the roof tops to head back to his home.

Shikamaru pulled her husband's head down to kiss him, their height difference causing her more aggravation, she kissed and nipped at his jaw as he watched the retreating form of the flirt otherwise known as Kiba. He started to calm down as he felt her suck and nibble on his jaw and neck, then gathering her and their son in his arms he too took to the roof tops, landing on the small balcony outside their room.

He opened the door and then laid her down on their futon, with a small kiss he took the baby and laid him down in his cradle. "Shika... I'm sorry, I just..." She smirked and then pulled on him causing him to half fall on the futon, he nuzzled his face in her chest and she smiled stroking the blond spiky hair. He couldn't help smile when she whispered, "Hey handsome, I hear you're a virgin, I can help you take care of that..." He managed to push the side of the yukata he had been wearing that morning off one of her shoulders and then he licked one pert nipple. Shika moaned and he chuckled, 'apparently he was still just as sensitive', thought Naruto.

Shikamaru wiggled and pushed the yukata down to her waist, Naruto moaned as he saw the full breasts bared to him. Even though he'd had a pair this morning he smirked with satisfaction knowing these were his in a whole new way. He leaned up with his elbows on either side of her, his wet dreams had never been this good when he was a guy, always vague, and when he finally did have a sex life he was the woman. Shikaku looked at the woman in his arms, he grinned, fainting twice in one day might be bad, but Tsunade did say in the circumstances it was understandable. So he had decided it would be better to bring her home. As she stirred he pulled her close again, "Yoshina, how do you feel koi?" She looked up into her husband's face, she had begged at one time for Kami to give them more children, but she also feared the pregnancy part.

When Shikamaru got older she had become resign to the fact that one child would be all they would have. And now..., "Shikaku... am I really going to have a baby?"

He chuckled, then with a kiss on her partially closed lips he assured her again, "Yes koishii, we are and from what Shizune says the baby is a little girl." He chuckled again as her eyes widened, her lips opened in an O of awe. "Shikaku... this isn't funny. You... I can't believe you do this to me, especially with all that's happening with Shikamaru. This is too much!" He watched in horror as she jumped from his lap to run out the front door of their home.

Yoshino ran blindly into the yard and was passing through the gate when she ran straight into Choji. "Nara-san? Are you alright? Should you be running?" She looked up into the kind face and tears coursing down her cheeks she sniffled and asked, "What do you mean is it alright?"

Choji blushed then picking up the thermos on the ground he had dropped he held it out. "I mean... Nara-san aren't you pregnant... my mom sent me over with this after she spoke to your husband, she said it helped with the fainting, her sister used to faint when she was pregnant too. She said it has to do with the circulation."

Yoshino closed her eyes tightly, then gasping to breathe she admitted to herself, it wasn't a joke, she really was going to have a baby... Shikaku hadn't been teasing her. Shikaku! 'Oh dear! I need to apologize.'

Shikaku paced back and forth should he search for her or just let her cool off, he just didn't know, should he ask Naruto who had been a woman recently or Shikamaru who was one now? He buried his face in his hands, when did life gets so confusing, he felt like the world was insane... a baby, now? Wasn't it time to be grandparents, weren't they too old?

He felt a hand slowly pull his ponytail out, looking up he saw Yoshino as she buried her hands in his dark hair, he looked into her eyes with confusion and she smiled her eyes glowing with tears, "We're going to have a baby... we really are." She rained kisses on his face, and Shikaku closed his eyes, suddenly he didn't feel like being a grandpa, he felt very young, he felt like a man in love, and he knew he was a man in love who was going to be a new father. Standing up he swung his 'bride' into his arms and carried her upstairs, everything was going to be alright. Yoshino nuzzled up into his neck, sighing, she felt everything was good.

Shikamaru felt like he was going insane, Naruto was doing things he himself had done but he never knew how they felt. His head was tossing from side to side without him meaning it to, but he felt like his nerves were on fire. Naruto looked down at his 'wife', Shikamaru definitely made a beautiful woman, her skin was so soft and had a dusky hue, she looked up at him with big sexy tilted eyes, she looked so exotic.

Long dark hair spilling over her shoulders it had to reach passed her hips. But right now he smirked in complete ownership, her hair was spread across the pillow a riotous mess and she was looking at him with drowsy eyes. He leaned up to kiss her and then grinned again as she licked her lips tasting herself. He loved the look on her face when she figured out the taste, she smiled at him the reaching up she pulled him down for a kiss causing him to fall between her spread legs. Naruto knew no matter what happened, Shikamaru was his home, his family. And he would do anything to protect them.

Shikaikou awoke with a powerful scream, his bellows had both Nara women running, with the men right behind them. Naruto looked at his son as he watched in horror, the child's eyes were red. Shikamaru swept up the baby rocking him then gasped loudly, "Naruto.... wha..."

She quickly pulled the diaper down allowing the fluffy rusty brown tail to be freed and the baby's cries quieted until he only sniffed his mouth rutting against her. Shikamaru opened her kimono as Yoshino, Shikaku and Naruto looked at the little tail slowly swinging back and forth. Shikaikou latched onto her nipple and began to eat, his eyes closed. Shikaku then looked at Naruto, "Son... is this normal?" Naruto's wide blue eyes blinked before he answered honestly, "I don't know... I mean, we could ask Iruka-sensei. The Third or Jiraiya probably knew but..." If only Jiraiya were still alive, he had been there when Naruto was a baby, even helped care for him but no one could ask him now. Shikaku patted the younger man's arm, it was hard not having anyone who had raised him to turn to, but he had them now. And they needed to find out if this meant Shikaikou somehow had a connection to Kyuubi.
