All Alone

Chapter Seventeen

Sasuke stared nervously at the door of Naruto’s house and gave a quick knock.
‘I wonder if the dobe is even home?’ He thought but the door opened and a surprised Naruto peered out.
“Sasuke? What are you doing here? You never come over.” Naruto said and it took all of Sasuke’s will power not to shift uncomfortably.
“Let me in, there’s too many people out here.” Sasuke said and Naruto peered over his shoulder to see tons of fan girls squealing.
“Okay.” The blonde let him in and took one more look at the flocking girls.
“Where did all of them come from? I know we don’t have that many here.” He said and Sasuke shook his head.
“Never mind them.” Sasuke said. “I came because I wanted to tell you something.”
Naruto stopped looking out the window and turned his full attention on the Uchiha.
“What is it?”
Sasuke took a deep breath and looked into those big blue eyes.
“I told Shikamaru that I’m not interested in him.” He started. “I…well I’ve actually…liked someone else.”
“Who? It better not be Neiji!” Naruto shouted and Sasuke had a sweat drop.
“No you dumb ass it’s you!” He yelled with a blush. “I like you, have for some time.”
Naruto stood looking at him as it sunk in and then dragged his feet along the floor.
“So…what does this mean?” Naruto asked shyly.
“I guess we start dating.” Sasuke answered and the blonde broke out in a dumb grin.
“Really! Do I get a ring?” He asked and a vein popped out on the Uchiha’s pale skin.
“I’m not asking you to marry me!”
“I know I mean like a promise ring.” Naruto said and Sasuke’s eyes went flat.
“A promise ring means to promise to get married later on.” He said.
“Well is there a ring for promising to be butt fuckers!?” Naruto huffed.
They went silent until Naruto jumped Sasuke for a hug, outside the fan girls were at the windows cheering and holding up signs.
Both boys had sweat drops when they saw them and heard Sakura outside.
“Alright girls lets give them some privacy!” She shouted and the giggling girls were herded away.
“Next time I see Sakura I need to thank her for getting them to leave.” Sasuke said and noticed the blonde was still attached to him.
“Um are you planning on letting go anytime soon?” He asked and Naruto grinned sheepishly.
“Nope.” The blonde laughed and Sasuke sighed with his eyes going flat again.
“You are such a idiot.” Sasuke said.
“Yeah, but I’m YOUR idiot.” He said and hugged him tighter.

Meanwhile Kakashi was counting his money after Tsunade handed over her lost bet.
“Love is such a sweet thing.” He said after pocketing the easy cash.
“You only say that because you won from it.” She said with a pout.
“Oh don’t be like that.” He teased and got lightening bolts from her eyes.
“I’m going, I have some things to take care of.” She said and left with a glare.
‘Man she’s one of the people I’m truly scared of.’ He thought.
“Kakashi sensei likes the Hokage!” Choji guffawed with a long faced Shikamaru besides him.
Kakashi chose to ignore that little quip and focused on the forlorned boy, guilt creeping up on his conscience.
“Hey Shikamaru how are you doing?” He asked gently.
“How do you think ass?” Shikamaru said.
“Um…it’s not wise to call a sensei a ass.” Choji said out of the corner of his mouth.
“Well he is an ass after what he and the Hokage did.” He said.
“I am truly sorry Shikamaru, but there’s plenty of other…guys out there for you.” Kakashi said.
“That’s what I told him.” Choji said. “I also told him that I think Neiji Hyugga has the hots for him.”
With a raised eyebrow Kakashi turned around with a glint in his eye.
‘Next mission. Get Shikamaru and Neiji together.’

NOTE 2: Also not to disappoint anyone, but I don’t think there will be a M-Preg between Sasuke and Naruto, now between two others…maybe.
