Chapter Nineteen

Sasuke sat in his room in the dark thinking while Naruto snored in the next room.
‘I don’t get it. Is Kiba right? Does Naruto have those kinds of feelings for me?’ He thought. ‘I mean I called him stupid, fought with him, almost killed him and all miscellaneous things I’ve done to him. So why does he still like me?’ He ran a hand through his shoulder length black hair and gave a frustrated sigh.
‘Maybe Kiba was just being a jerk and teasing Naruto.’
Having convinced himself he finally laid down and was able to fall asleep.

In the morning Naruto woke up and didn’t see Sasuke already up like he usually was.
“Teme? Are you okay?” Naruto called and lightly knocked on the bedroom door. When there was no answer he walked in and found the raven haired man curled in a ball asleep.
Naruto walked over and shook Sasuke’s shoulder.
“Hey Sasuke wake up.” He said and a dark eye opened.
“Fuck off!” Sasuke growled and a vein popped out on Naruto’s forehead.
“Hey! It’s time to get up already!”
“Stop yelling.” Sasuke groaned and sat up.
“Sorry, but it’s almost 9:00 am.” Naruto said.
“Fine already.” Sasuke said and cracked some stiff limbs.
“Are you tired because of…you know the P thing?’ Naruto asked and Sasuke looked at him with slanted eyes.
“Why do you keep asking me about that?” He asked and Naruto went red.
“I’m just curious and if I even ask a woman I get slapped and called a pervert!”
“Have that frog sage tell you about it.” Sasuke said.
“I would never ask that pervy sage! All he does is try and watch women at the hot springs or swimming holes!” Naruto shouted.
“Then Kakashi.”
“No he’s just as bad!”
“Then read a fucking book about it!” Sasuke growled and Naruto gulped.
“Geez sorry.” Naruto said and left the room so the Uchiha could get dressed.
‘He’s always so damn grumpy!’ Naruto thought.
‘I thought you two had a little heart to heart last night?’ Kyubbi asked.
‘Well yeah, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s still a prick.’
‘Oh for crying out loud. Just tell him that you love him and then you two can fuck like two little horny bunnies in a bush.’ Kyubbi growled.
‘I’m not going to do that!’
‘Well I’m sick and tired of this drama. If you don’t tell him I’ll take over and have him myself.’ Kyubbi threatened and the blonde steamed.
‘You won’t lay one hand on Sasuke! I’ll tell him soon you sick asshole!’

“Dobe stop talking that Kyubbi and come one. You’re the one that made me get up.” Sasuke said and Naruto took note of the looser clothing, but more airy looking.
“Uh….”
“Don’t ask, lets just say it’s more comfortable.” Sasuke said and they left to see Kakashi.

On their way Sasuke sighed as Naruto insisted to stay besides him and a few times their hands brushed.
“Exactly why are we going to Kakashi’s house?” Sasuke asked.
“Just to visit.”
“It seems like we don’t do anything anymore.” Sasuke said.
“We do stuff.”
“We never go on missions anymore.” Sasuke said.
“That’s because it’s more peaceful now. Is that a bad thing?” Naruto asked and Sasuke shook his head.
“No, but we can at least get requests for some help even if it’s not dangerous.” Sasuke said and Naruto took his hand into his. Sasuke looked in shock at their joined hands and then to the smiling blonde.
“Don’t worry Sasuke, you’re not worthless like you think.” Naruto said and they walked silently.

‘Oh my god he’s not pulling his hand away!’ Naruto mentally danced.
‘Oooh. I think the Uchiha kid likes you as well.’ Kyubbi said and for once Naruto didn’t tell him to shut up.
