Chapter 19
Only a Clone

AN: ZOMG i'm back!!! lol..sooooo lots of things going on....chaos and what not...BUT here's the next chapter..I do hope you all enjoy!!!

*Note to Meza my screens different from yours and i don't have to scroll over...so I'm not sure what to do about that...becuase I can't tell how it's going to come out from computer to computer...cuz they're all different..I'm sorry it such an inconvenience to you and to others but trying to please everyone is really hard...@~@...I hope you keep reading though!!

A hand grabbed electrically charged fingers before Sasuke could press them down against his chest.

“Don’t waste your chakra.” The blue eyes fluttered and the mouth opened to take in a short breath. Sasuke felt his heart jam deeper in his throat.

“Don’t…tell me what to do idiot! I told you to get out of the way!” Sasuke hissed hoarsely, a feeling he hadn’t felt in years moving through him. It was overwhelming how much he wanted to laugh and punch the other man.

“Idiot…” Seiko laughed shortly, his mouth flickering upward. By all rights he should be dead…he should be gone. He was only a clone and yet he was holding onto every second he still had. The soul in flesh and bone, but a clone nonetheless. This could kill Naruto. Or, it could save him. He didn’t know which.

“I can’t hold on much longer,” he whispered, one hand had fisted the front of Sasuke’s bloodied garb. Sasuke felt his heart stop all over again.

“Just hold on...I can get us there…just—” He was yanked forward and chapped lips pressed against his own. It felt as if electricity had run through every nerve, his pulse erratic with the knowledge they were kissing. He didn’t want it to end.

“He’s wanted to do that for a very long time,” Seiko whispered pulling away, their mouths millimeters apart. “I have wanted to do that for a very long time.” Blue eyes flickered over Sasuke’s face and his fist tightened. He could feel the tug; his heart had stopped. He shouldn’t be here anymore. The jutsu had been broken.

“Don’t…let this idiot die,” he whispered, his body fading into wisps of spiraling black smoke, his mind unraveling as he entered enraged inferno. Sasuke stared at the clearing smoke, arms empty. His head shot up, sensing a powerful presence move through the valley. Jaw clenching, he shot off across the field. No more. He wasn’t going to lose the only person that could see through his mask.

His fist gripped the sword hilt as he pushed forward, sandals not even leaving a trace to show he had been there. Faster and faster. He didn’t care how low his chakra was. He would find a way, any way. Even if he had to fight through the entire Akatsuki . He would get to Naruto.

Kakashi panted hard, his hand braced against the tree. It had taken a lot of effort to disable the jutsu before it attacked his fellow shinobi.

“We can’t stop, Iruka,” he said as the other inspected him. Those dark brown eyes landed on his own hard as ice.

“You keep moving and the wounds themselves will kill you, Hatake,” came the harsh reply.

“Sakura!” Iruka barked. The pink-ette appeared at his side instantly, the frown on her face deepening as she took a closer look at Kakashi. Sai had been filling them in on what had happened, and already with Sai leading them, Neji, Shino, Ino and Shikamaru had kept moving. Kakashi winced at the tone Iruka had taken. Sakura pulled apart the vest to inspect a few of the wounds herself, the light blue chakra pooled in her hands.

“Iruka,” Kakashi said with a soft sigh, his body easing a bit more against the tree,feeling the healing chakra move through to the deepest of wounds. He pulled the mask down from his face with a slight smile on his own..

“You always surprise me,” he said, touching the side of Iruka’s face. Brown eyes softened slightly.

“You weren’t meant to know…” He trailed off. Kakashi nodded. He knew why people kept secrets to protect those they love.

“You don’t have to explain,” he said finally dropping his hand and hissing when Sakura added pressure to his ribs.

“For now that’s all I can do,” she said, looking up at Kakashi then glancing at Iruka. She hadn’t known how deep her sensei’s relationship was until now.

The sharingan wielder clenched his fists, twisting and turning his body. It would have to do.

“Let’s not waste time then.” With a quick nod he went to pull the mask up over his nose. She moved away and Iruka caught Kakashi’s wrist, leaned forward and kissed his mouth before it disappeared under the black cloth.

“Don’t you dare get killed Kakashi,” he warned softly before pulling away and hopping lightly up into a tree. “Let’s get moving!” he yelled. Kakashi nearly smirked and pushed forward along with Kiba, Hinata, Chouji and Sakura.

Jiraiya weaved through the flying blades, his attention focused elsewhere. The blades buried into the ground on either side of him and he frowned. He could feel the erratic chakra. He would get killed just getting close to Naruto at this point. But that would be a risk he would have to take.

“Do not take me lightly Sannin!” Konan said, her voice clipped and sharp. Her wings spread behind her, the paper molding to her will and chakra.

“My fight is not with you,” he replied evenly. Eyes hardening, he pushed his fingers together, moving through the seals fluidly before bringing them to his mouth. Flames erupted and wrapped around Konan like a blanket, eagerly racing over the paper wings. The rain sizzled .

She screeched as she flew back into the wall, cracking it. The flames stopped and Jiraiya took a step back ready to leave before she pushed herself up, the paper peeling away from her.

“I am not the same little girl you trained. Do not think that flames can finish me off.” The paper erupted forward to wrap and matt down around Jiraiya, trapping his arms to his sides. His mouth twisted upwards in a smirk. Konan narrowed her eyes before feeling a blade at her throat.

Pein looked up, his spiraling eyes narrowing, the slight smirk on his face dropping to a frown. He knew the Sannin was powerful. He shouldn’t have left her alone. [i]Get the beast contained[/i]. He thought to the rest of his Paths. His Paths of Pain.

Itachi watched, his red and black eyes narrowed. Something was wrong. Something had happened. The nine tail demon who had seemed beyond out of control, its power now seemed to be…being sucked in. Slowed.

“Did the clone get killed?” He turned towards Kisame, the dark beady eyes turning away from the enraged beast.

“He didn’t get out of the way of your brother’s attack if that what you’re asking,” Kisame replied with a shrug. He saw the frown grow deeper on Itachi’s face.

“If his clone was ‘killed’ that means the jutsu that was used to create him was destroyed and you know what happens when clones return to our bodies.” His eyes had turned back towards the demon. Kisame nodded before he slowly stood, hefting Samehade onto his back.

“I will tell you again, this is not a fight you have to be involved in”, Itachi suddenly spoke up as he smoothly stood next to Kisame. The shark nin snorted before noting the tone of his voice.

“Who do you think is going to watch your back, hm?” Kisame glanced at Itachi and stepped forward, his black eyes focused and he saw the barest of smirks.

“You,” Itachi replied evenly, finally turning his eyes on Kisame. The shark like nin nodded with a gruff grunt and glanced back at the fight at hand.

“I’ve never seen all six bodies used in battle.” Kisame took in six the pierced nins surrounding the demon. Itachi nodded, his mouth back to the grim frown.

“He usually only needs his Deva form to get what he needs, but with so many of Akatsuki dead he needs his other forms to contain it.” Itachi’s voice was flat. Each one of Pein’s forms was different. Each one was someone that had been killed in the past. Each one held enormous amounts of chakra. And they were all connected by the Rinnigans eyes. Itachi had studied the leader for years; the power behind those eyes was unfathomable.

“The brute strength is behind Asura, Preta and Naraka,” Itachi continued, pointing out the larger of the pierced ninjas. “If you face one, everyone one of them will know you’re location. Your strengths and your weaknesses. Do not let your guard down.” Itachi took in where the rest of Pein’s bodies were located around the Kitsune Demon. “I will finish off Animal, Human and Deva himself, while containing the beast.”. Kisame’s jaw clenched and after a moment nodded in agreement.

“We should get this over with before the Nine Tails is fully released”, was his grim murmur. Itachi stepped forward, nearly stepping off the building ledge they had been watching the fight.

“Let’s go.” He started to disintegrate into thousands of crows, their bodies racing into the raining sky. Kisame grinned toothily and his body imploded, mixing into the rain and running water.

The flaming form arched and roared, the tails thrashing erratically as the feelings, emotions , and thoughts rushed back inside. This was his time. His chance to get his revenge. His container had brought him here. [i]Mine human[/i]! He growled internally, pushing out more of his chakra to rip the seal, the cage getting torn apart.

Not your body! Came the echoing response. The inner war only caused the outside chakra to fluctuate madly around the disintegrating body. The pierced nins that stood at the ready around him all lunged forward before being stopped by a wave of water that crashed down around Kyuubi. Kisame dropped down from the sky wielding Samehade, the blade singing from bloodlust.

“Hope you’re ready for a real opponent Pein!” he roared. The Rinnigan wielding bodies turned, and one’s mouth stretched wide in a fierce grin. He had a horizontal nose ring going from bridge to tip, the pierced skull lowered as he charged towards Kisame. The cloak flew apart revealing six mechanical like arms with a fierce some face on each. Kisame’s blade swung around and blocked as the Asura body of Pein attacked him, Samehade stripping the other of chakra before Asura jumped back.

Itachi’s mangekyou sharingan whirled as he fought through the heated chakra. His palms pressed together. ‘Beast!’ He hissed in his mind, one eye closing to the world around them, heart thumping as his own chakra fought with Kyuubi’s, effectively turning the beast’s attention on him.

“Uchiha,” came the dripping voice. Itachi stood in the dank caverns of the jinnichuriki’s mind, the cage all but torn to shreds. Heat moved around him and he looked up, eyes narrowing as the large demon crouched over a single form, the clothes and flesh burned and shredded, the form was struggling to get free even as the chakra ripped through him.

“You do not possess the evil to stop me.” The growl surrounded him, tendrils of chakra shredding through the flesh and bone of struggling body wavering in its attempt to escape. Itachi’s eyes slitted.

“We shall see Demon,” he whispered.

AN: SEE OMG...so exicting!! lol..i'm having fun..and I know it's been FOREVER but i'm on break and I plan on writing up the next chapter like right when this gets posted!! XD

T.T.: Yes...yes they will..Yaay!! I'm glad you contributed!! It makes me so happy!! I don't even itachi is a good guy or not...we'll have to see..that should become rather soon though..probably the next chapter lol. As you can see Seiko returned to Naruto's body since he was a clone....and now that might tip the balance with Kyuubi still very much in control.Things are coming together...and I hope naruto doesn't di either..he's my favorite crazy ninja!!

Meza:Like i said above..I think every computer is different...mine doesn't scroll after this gets posted..so I'm not sure how to alevate the problem..I made the ________ shorter in length, so I'm guess that might help, but I don't know. I hope doesn't that ruin you're reading experience!! Thanks so much for the advice..and I'm trying to alleviate the problem. Hope it helped a bit!
