Broken
Chapter 2
Broken
Kakashi's head was swimming with thoughts, mostly of how sore his entire body felt at that moment. He ran his fingers through his tall gray hair and let out a tired sigh. He blinked his swollen eyes and stared up at the ceiling, wondering where he was taken after the fight.
The exhausted Jounin forced his body to sit up, seeing a wooden roof above him and a tatami floor below. A damp towel toppled off of his forehead as he leaned forward. "Oh Gods..." he muttered as he looked upon the bloody cloth, touching his forehead and discovering the enormous gash across it, caused by Kisame's destructive 'samehade.' After all he had heard about the Mist's missing ninja, he was glad he had only received a few minor blows.
After sitting up, he remembered the cut to his belly as well, touching the tight gauze that had been wrapped around his waist and wondering who had taken him in. His question was answered as the door to his small room opened.
Sasuke tip-toed in, at first being careful not to wake his sleeping instructor, but then quickly seeing he was wide-awake. The young Uchiha feigned a smile and set a tray under Kakashi's chin. "You-you passed out after the fight. I volunteered to take you in." he muttered his explanation before sitting down next to him.
Kakashi nodded, quickly taking a gulp of the drink of cold water placed in front of him. "So..."
Sasuke crossed his legs and let out a huff, "There's nothing to say. I didn't say anything when I found out you were my teacher, you don't need to say anything now."
"So you did recognize me back then?" Kakashi asked, pulling his mask off of his chin a second time to take a bite of the fresh apple slices Sasuke had prepared for him. "I didn't know... it had been so many years..." he thought, trailing off a bit as his mind wandered back to that time.
"Of course I recognized you! We had a lot of people coming through our house all the time, but you're the only one whomed med to care about Itachi. You were different from the rest of those bastards..."
Kakashi nodded, "I would've saved you two from that place, but Itachi, he was too impatient. He always said he needed my help, but then when the time came... I couldn't..." the normally calm and collected Jounin buried his pale face in his hands, feeling his own blood drip off of his deep wound as he leaned forward.
The youngest Uchiha stared at his own feet for a long while before replying, "It's not your fault. He could've escaped anytime, he just decided to take care of the problem another way. Heartless bastard..." Sasuke mumbled, slamming a small fist to the floor and gritting his teeth.
Kakashi's dark eyes focused on the young boy in front of him. Itachi hadn't helped anything when he murdered all of Sasuke's family; he hadn't saved him from the life. In fact, the anger and raw hatred the gray-haired young man used to see in Itachi was the same he saw in his younger brother now. He grabbed Sasuke's arm tightly in his own broad hand, "Now you listen to me..."
The youngest Uchiha turned, his black eyes widened, as no one had ever stood up to him like that since his family was massacred.
"You can hate Itachi for what he did to your family, but it wasn't his fault. You know what he went through all those years, while his parents looked the other way and continued to make their money, and while I too did nothing to help him. If he hadn't killed them, a few years later, you would have. I think he knew that..."
Sasuke was going to interject, until he realized Kakashi was right about it all.
"The entire time he begged me to get you out of there, sometimes he didn't even care if he could leave. As much as you hate him now, he was always looking out for you." He defended, knowing nothing he could possibly say could even begin to sway the way the stubborn boy felt about his older brother.
Sasuke stared at the tightly clenched hand around his wrist, "You really cared for him..."
Kakashi blinked silently before pulling his mask back over his lower face, "I loved him. But, things are different now, and I don't think things could ever return to the way they were before." He explained, removing his arm and lying himself down on the rolled-out futon, pulling the covers up to his shoulders and closing his eyes.
Sasuke knew he was growing up to mimic his brother, knowing every attack and technique he had been taught were all mere copies of Itachi's much stronger fighting style, his personality too was beginning to shape as a c une unemotional person whose goals in life all seemed tied to another individual's misery. He wondered if he would be attracted to Kakashi, as his brother was.
He had to admit he had a certain, quiet charm, not to mention his mysterious nature. Sasuke blushed as he realized the strange thoughts that were traveling through his head. After all, he waseveneven sure if Itachi and Kakashi would still be considered a couple. He cleared his throat nervously before asking, "Kakashi..."
"Hm?"
"You and my brother, you're not still..."
"No." The Jounin returned quickly, rolling over to face his young student, "That night, was one of the last times he spoke to me." He said, somewhat regretful. He pulled the mask off of his chin before nuzzling into the blankets again.
Sasuke stumbled over his words, "K-Kakashi, I mean, I'm not saying it... but, do you think you can ever fall in love with someone else? I mean, a second time..." he asked curiously, his intentions screaming by the red in his cheeks. His dark eyes trailed the floor, his thumbs anxiously moving in his lap.
Kakashi silently wished the boy would shut up and go to sleep so he could as well. He grumbled, "Why, does Naruto like me?" he joked.
The youngest Uchiha crossed his arms over his chest, angry that Kakashi was taking his feelings as such a joke, "No."
"And I know Sakura's too obsessed with you to even see me..." Kakashi added with a grin. Sasuke's face flushed as he saw his teacher's perfect smile, finally uncovered by that damn mask.
Kakashi looked over at Sasuke, whose knees were shaking so violently it looked as if he were having a seizure. "Sasuke, Sasuke..." he said, almost scoldingly, like a caring parent. "It's just a crush, you don't know what love really is yet."
Sasuke gritted his teeth andidedided to pounce on his young teacher, "Bullshit!" He yelled, propping his arms on either side of Kakashi's head to get his attention, the rest of his body lying over Kakashi's own. "That's bullshit. I know what a crush is, and this isn't it... Are you saying you don't feel anything for me?" he asked, grabbing Kakashi's large hand in both of his and touching his smooth, pale cheek.
Kakashi sighed, "You're just a young boy, Itachi's younger brother."
Sasuke stared down at the figure below him with decisive cat eyes as he pulled Kakashi's hand down his small chest to his stomach, feeling the warmth of his teacher through his thlothlothing, "I'm not a child anymore, Kakashi. I've grown since we met..." he insisted, dragging Kakashi's shaking hand lower and letting it come to rest over the increasing bulge in his shorts.
Kakashi's eyes widened, "Sasuke!"
Sasuke leaned forward, climbing over him like a wild cat for his prey, nuzzling his head into the crook of Kakashi's neck and gently suckling on his collar, letting his tongue wander occasionally out of his lips to taste his teacher's salty skin. Kakashi struggled to get the boy off of him, grabbing his arms tightly, "Sasuke, what the Hell are you doing?"
"You're enjoying it Kakashi, you know you are..." Sasuke whispered seductively into his instructor's ear before grabbing the lobe in his teeth and giving it a small bite. "Fuck me raw, Kakashi..." he whispered, letting his right hand slip up his teacher's leg and come to a comfortable rest over the crotch of his navy blue pants.
Kakashi shifted, grabbing Sasuke's shoulders tightly, "Sasuke, what's wrong with you?" He stared up at his young student, the youngest Uchiha, who was leaning over, hands covering his leakiyes.yes. What? Sasuke was crying?
His teacher touched Sasuke's shoulders, "Sasuke?" he paused as he rearranged his thoughts; "I suppose I can't blame you... if you were raised this way."
Sasuke let his head fall to Kakashi's broad chest, curling his arms around him and letting himself weep into his teacher's clothing. No one had ever seen him cry so openly before, even at the funeral for the Uchiha clan, he had not shed a tear.
"Dammit..."
Kakashi cradled the back of the boy's jet-black scalp, almost shedding his own tears for the conditions in which he had been raised. All his life he knew what his family did was wrong, as some of the villagers whispered and made popular gossip about the 'dirty Uchihas', but his family always seemed to convince him it was just a different lifestyle. Either way, Sasuke had made his mind up as a young child that what they were doing was wrong, as he watched his brother being raped brutally each night by people who couldn't care less about him.
Kakashi.
Kakashi was different.
Sasuke blinked his dark eyes, wiping the imminent tears from his cheeks, "My brother always talked about you as if you were a god... his savior, come to save him. I wish you were there to save me then," he muttered as he stood up, climbing off of his teacher and storming out of the room rather sarcastically, making sure to slam the sliding door closed on his way out.
The gray-haired Jounin reached out a hand to stop him, then discovered how lifelessly it hung in midair, knowing he could say nothing to excuse what he had done. He had promised Itachi he would take him away from that terrible place, and save his younger brother Sasuke from the torture of becoming a self-hating whore. But he couldn't do it, even after the few years he had known and fallen in love with Itachi; he just didn't have the strength.
Kakashi held his aching head, discovering quickly that he was leaking salty tears as well. As he ran his fingers down the scar that had stained his left eyelid, he remembered all Itachi had done for him, and the one task that he was given, that he could not complete.
It was the only mission he had ever failed.
To his surprise, Sasuke returned rather quickly, a single plate carrying a cup of tea in his hands. Without a word he tore open a bag of tea and slowly shuffled the light-colored powder in the hot water, adding a second bag of a curious white powder.
Kakashi was paying what he was doing no mind, instead choosing to focus on the pitch-black, emotionless pools above the Uchiha's nose. He had become so used to seeing the bright red Sharingan, that the depthless eyes of the Uchiha clan otherwise took him for surprise. He had forgotten how hard they were to read.
Sasuke stared at what he was doing with varied attention, though his eyes never wandered, it was clear he was not thinking about fixing the tea. When he had finished, he slid the plate politely to his teacher's side, his knees folded under his body properly. "It is medicine for the pain of your injuries. Please don't disappoint..." he stopped as if to make sure the word 'disappoint' was clearly accentuated, "me, and drink it all."
The young Uchiha remained in the room, wandering to the windowsill and perching himself on the ground in front of it, staring outside to the beautiful, serene night sky. He looked over to his side, seeing his old koto still standing in the corner, probably gathering quite a bit of dust from the many years he had not come near it, for fear the memories would return.
Without any cares like that lingering in his head any longer, he reached to pick it up, holding it on his lap and tuning the strings for a minute before strumming across the instrument, a calming tune arising from his hands.
Kakashi sipped half of the tea, smacking his lips at the bitter taste. He focused on the boy near the window with such care. He was his brother, in almost every regard, perhaps even more stubborn. Kakashi chuckled to himself at the thought. But Sasuke really was remarkable. If Kakashi weren't too old, he could imagine he would fall in love with an Uchiha again.
Sasuke strummed the strings, at times looking back at Kakashi, at other times his brows furrowing together as if he were thinking about something very important. His hand twitched slightly as he played, causing him to falter the notes, the black curse spreading to his fingers. Damn, why was it acting up again? Perhaps because he was so incredibly nervous... He was about to do something drastic, but he was convinced he needed to prove himself. He wasn't just a child.
Kakashi silently listened to the calming music, his vision blurring as he took another large gulp of the tea, his head swimming as the music sedated him. After a few minutes of this half-asleep state, the young Jounin faltered backwards, the cup of tea he held in his hand toppling over and spilling its contents all over the tatami floor.
Sasuke abruptly ceased his playing and turned back, seeing the powder he had given Kakashi had taken affect. The youngest Uchiha dropped his koto to the floor and stepped over to his teacher's near-lifeless body, seeing Kakashi's mouth fall open as he began squirming his arms and legs. He had not fallen unconscious, but into a sort of drunken state.
The young Jounin peered around the room, noticing how blurred he was and how incapacitated his movement had become. He could barely comprehend what was going on around him.
Sasuke chuckled as he loomed over his teacher's vulnerable body, edging downward and letting his curse spread all over his sickened body. What he was doing was wrong, was horrible, but there had to be some way to convince the Jounin that he was not simply a younger brother, that he too was powerful like Itachi.
He prowled upon his teacher's body like a cat, placing hands on either side of Kakashi's head and gently pressing his cold lips to the Jounin's. Kakashi groaned in his half-asleep state, his jaw falling open to reveal a full set of pearly white teeth and a warm, inviting tongue. Sasuke licked his own lips, the evil curse that had spread from the back of his neck nestling itself in more private places.
Suddenly Sasuke body cao lio life, tearing off Kakashi's clothing and ravaging his body like an animal in heat. His victim tossed as his black eyes wandered the room, unable to see more than colorful shapes that blurred together. He could feel small hands smothering his body with touches, his mouth suddenly engulfed with another.
Sasuke closed his dark eyes as his warm, wet tongue danced in Kakashi's mouth, brining his to life as well. The young Uchiha let out a chuckle as he pressed his hands down on his teacher's broad, chiseled chest, "I'll be better than my brother, Kakashi, I promise..." he muttered before Kakashi's memory went entirely blank.
The young, gray-haired Jounin awoke the next morning, his head aching desperately from the effects of the hypnotic medicine he had been drugged with last night. He couldn't remember hardly anything that happened, it was all a fuzzy blur. He knew Sasuke had yelled at him just like Itachi had years ago, then he had given him a strange-tasting medicine... he had heard some koto music and then his memory gave way.
Kakashi held his head, looking around the room for some sign of Sasuke, hoping he wasn't too mad about the conversation they had yesterday. He took in a long breath, covering his face with his hand, "Ugh, what is that terrible smell?" he wondered aloud, propping himself up and standing slowly. Gods, his legs felt sore and bruised, though he couldn't remember doing any exercise or training yesterday. Damn, what happened?
He wandered the halls of the vast Uchiha estate, remembering how full and bustling the house was when he had visited, filled with the many tasteless and immoral men and women. It seemed so quiet now, so eerily serene.
He headed out to the kitchen tiredly, seeing Sasuke hunched over the dining table, his face buried in his arms as his back twitched. He was only clothed in his short boxers, strange for the normally modest young boy. His instructor took a nervous step forward, placing a comforting hand on the boy's naked back, "Sasuke, what's up?"
The youngest Uchiha refused to answer, just rubbed his nose into his hands further, tugging back the sniffles and tears that came to him.
"Sasuke?"
Again, silence.
Kakashi pulled up a chair next to his troubled student, forgetting any disagreement they had had earlier, and simply intent on helping him. "Are you still mad about the argument we had..."
"What?!" Sasuke shouted loudly, slamming both of his tightened fists upon the dining table and nearly crushing it to mere splinters. "Don't tell me you don't remember anything?" he squealed, the guilt of what he had done weighing down upon his weak shoulders.
Kakashi sat down next to Sasuke, keeping his arm wrapped around his back, "Sasuke, what are you talking about? Calm down!"
The youngest Uchiha grumbled, throwing his instructor's arm off of him and standing up, backing up to the corner of the room in embarrassment, "Last night, I... just wanted to beat Itachi at something... I... I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." he bumbled wearily, unsure ow tow to put his feelings into words. He stared at the wooden floors, his dark eyes wandering the patterns on the ground as he awaited an answer.
"I don't know what you're talking..."
"I drugged you! I put some drugs in your tea we used to use to calm down rowdy customers... then, I..." Sasuke explained, looking up to see a look of surprise and shock on Kakashi's face. It was only a few blank seconds before the memories began to return.
...Sasuke climbed over Kakashi's weary body, licking at his neck like a passionate kitten and slowly undressing the Jounin before him. His pale white body was quickly exposed to the cool breeze from the window; though sweat still beaded down his chest...
...Then, Sasuke lowered his head ever so slowly, dragging a teasing tongue down his teacher's abdomen and wrapping his small fingers around Kakashi's thick, trembling length, own own bulge straining in his shorts. Sasuke huffed tiredly, staring at the delicious muscle before pumping it in his hands, causing Kakashi's body to involuntarily jerk upwards into the swollen touches...
...The memories of the night flew in and out of Kakashi's head, images of Sasuke opening his mouth and lowering his head, engulfing Kakashi's head in his warm mouth and slithering his slick tongue around the sensitive length. Gods, it had felt so good, Kakashi remembered, his mind was swimming with the pleasures he had experienced. Then, his body convulsed, spilling his essence into Sasuke's mouth. The young Uchiha let it drip from his lips, leaning forward to bring his lips together with his young teacher's own, crashing them together in a forced, animalistic kiss...
...Sasuke then removed his own clothes, stripping himself down to his skin, his skinny, child-like features glowing in the moonlight. He hadn't even bothered to prep his entrance before hovering his tight ring over Kakashi's swelling member, his breath heavy. "So Kakashi, am I better than Itachi?" he had asked before slamming down onto Kakashi's length. Sasuke let out a loud cry, realizing he should have stretched himself before continuing despite that. His body felt as if it were being ripped in two, but the pleasure more than made up for the pain. Over and over again he slammed his entrance on Kakashi's thighs, causing the nearly unconscious Jounin to huff and buck accordingly. Sasuke's breathing grew more labored, his crihorthorter but faster as he picked up the pace, until finally, at the right time, they both allowed themselves to let go...
Kakashi covered his mouth with his hand, "Oh my gods, Sasuke..."
Sasuke couldn't look up, couldn't afford to look his teacher in the eye. He felt so dirty.
The young Jounin blinked a few times, his Sharingan eye seemingly staring into the young boy in front of him. He didn't know what to think. Sasuke had drugged and raped him last night. The gray-haired ninja opened his mouth, realizing suddenly that he had nothing to say.
"I'm sorry."
Kakashi shook his head, as if he were greatly disappointed.
"I... I'm really sorry, Kakashi..."
The Jounin warily turned away, heading to Sasuke's bedroom once again to gather his few things.
Sasuke fell to the wall next to him, his emotions finally spilling over and causing him to burst into a full on weep. Tears dripped off of his chin, his vision blurring as he watched Kakashi walk away. Why had he done this? Was it the e Ore Orochimaru had put on him, did that cause him to suddenly decide to rape his own teacher?
No, he couldn't blame everything wrong he did on that curse. After all, he was the one who had decided to drug Kakashi; he had made his decision a long while before the curse had spread over his body. But why?
Kakashi passed through the kitchen on his way to the front gate of the towering Uchiha estate, paying no mind to the weeping Uchiha in the corner. Sasuke whined, running to his teacher's side and grabbing him from behind, making sure he couldn't get away. "You forgive me, right? You forgive me?" he asked desperately, as if his en lif life depended on Kakashi's recognition.
The young Jounin closed his eyes, pulling his black facial mask over his lips and nose and pulling forward, discovering the boy's arms had tightened their grip.
Sasuke pulled Kakashi's warm body closer, nuzzling his head against his her'her's wide back, "I didn't mean to hurt you."
"I know." Kakashi muttered quietly.
"It's just, you were always so kind to Itachi, and you treated him like an adult. Ever since I met you... you've just treated me like a student..." he mumbled, pressing his forehead to the Jounin's vest.
Kakashi sighed, wondering if the poor young boy was interpreting their relationship as more than it was, "You are my student." He stated bluntly, not wanting any chance for Sasuke to misread it.
Sasuke whimpered, "Kakashi, no one has treated me like you treated my brother..."
The Jounin shook the young Genin off of his back and took a step forward, "I'm sorry. I will forgive you for what you did yesterday, but not today... I can't say I forgive you today..." he whispered, grabbing the front door and pulling it open with a slam, stepping out into the cold morning air.
Sasuke's body slid to the floor, his hands covering his obvious tears. Why was his stupid brother better at fighting, better during training, better in school, and easier to love? What was so wrong with Sasuke? His shoulders shuddered as the Uchiha home became empty once again.
