The Fox and the Leaf

(A/N Hopefully this chapter turns out better then the last one with all of its mistakes I’m going to look over this one better , although I still hope to find a beta reader for the series if it turns out that people like it anyway on with the story .


Naruto woke up staring at what was fast becoming a familiar site to him, the ceiling of a hospital room. Laying there he thought back to what has happened and he knew what he had to do. Before anyone set out to try and discuss what happened between him and the Uchiha he would leave the Leaf, he would go out into the world outside and train himself and come back after he’s figured out his life. But he soon realized that wasn’t going to be an option he was in restraints.
“What the hell are these for,” Naruto said more to himself then anything.
“ There for your own protection” someone said from across the room. Naruto looked over to see Tsunade, the women he only knew for a short time but in that time he has grown to think of her as a sister if not a mother.\
“Wadda you mean for my protection? I cant kill myself even if I wanted to this damn thing,” he glared at his stomach where the seal was being covered by a hospital gown. “ Wont let me die which Is something I seriously want to do right about now I hurt all over.

A look of worry crossed over Tsunade’s face. Want to tell me what happened out there?”
“Not particularly, what’s to say Sasuke charged me and I went down, Kyuubi took over and killed the bastard. I would have done the same if I wasn’t on deaths door at the time.” Even to him his words sounded false.
“Naruto, I know you don’t mean that. He was your friend although he was too stubborn or proud to tell you.”
“HAH, Old lady that’s rich you know as well as I do, that bastard never cared about me or anyone but himself. All he wanted was power and it sickened me to see all the people in this town practically worshiping the ground that he walked on.” Once again Naruto strained against his straps, “So what does that have to do with these restraints?” “The restraints are to keep you here while you heal. Also to keep you from thrashing around too much when you were out of it.” said Tsunade with extreme patience. “The pain from the surgery and the apparent nightmares you were suffering from dictated nothing less.” and for not the first time during the last week she looked upon the child in the bed with sadness. “ I don’t know what was going on in that blond head of yours, or for that matter exactly what happened between you boys out in that forest, but I do know this you did what you had to do. To save yourself and to protect Konoha .”
“Tell that to the people in this town that already hate my guts. The people that fear me because of this bastard fox , the people that are going to scream for my blood for killing the last Uchiha with the precious Sharingan eyes.” Naruto could feel his rage rising, he knew that yelling at Tsunade was wrong and just plain stupid in most cases but damn it he didn’t care anymore. “ No one is going to believe it was self defense , they all know that we were rivals, but what they don’t know is that Sasuke left of his own free will and no matter what you tell them my dear Fifth, they will still blame me there precious lil whipping boy for it and you know as well as I do they will. As soon as I’m out of these restraints you might as well kiss me goodbye because I’m going to leave and there’s nothing you or anyone in this little hell of a village that is going to stop me!!
“What of your dream of becoming Hokage? What of your vow to protect your loved ones are you going to break your promises and toss away your dreams? Tsunade was worried this didn’t sound like Naruto at all, “Do you really want to toss away all that you’ve gained so far how far you’ve come in the villages eyes? People are starting to respect you Naruto, admittedly not many of the adult generation is but the genins down to a man all say that you’ve earned there respect. Do you really want to leave and become a missingnin? Tossing away all of your friends and loved ones here?”
Naruto thought on this for a second or so before responding “When they find out that I killed him, and just HOW I did that they will all detest me anyway so its better for everyone if I leave if not forever then for a few years just till everyone calms down”
“Naruto you know that’s not true at all but if your so set on leaving, I wont stop you on two conditions. One you still do missions for the village so you don’t become a missingnin. Two you take Jiraya with you both as a guide and a trainer so that your years away are not wasted.”
Naruto thought on this “You want me to tag along with Ero-sennin all over the country’s? Sure I can handle that just don’t blame me if he’s black and blue most of the time we all know he’s going to want to visit every bathhouse along the route and we all know how he ends up after a visit to them.”
A brief vision of Jiraya covered with slap marks crept over both of there minds and for the first time since the incident, Naruto allowed himself a brief chuckle. The next few years are going to be quite interesting.


(A/N ok I hope this chapter is better then the last one . I sincerely hope that I didn’t make as many mistakes as I did the last time. Ok yes it is going to be a Naruto future fic since I’m going to have them falling in love and marrying and I still think 13 is too young even for an arranged marriage, I’m going to pick it up with a Very different Naruto coming back to the village 10 years later with very important news for the Hokage. Be prepared for twists turns and even an occasional romance!! Pairings may change I’m not sure of them yet except that on his return there will be 2 “factions” for him to deal with the ones who don’t blame him and the ones that do and the strafe in the Leaf Village will never be higher.
