All Alone

Chapter Two

Sasuke was resting in the hospital after getting treated, the branch removed and a quick surgery to fix the damage and remove splinters. It was ruled an accident means there was no other chakra signatures present at the time.
“Is he going to be okay?” Sakura asked and Kakashi nodded.
“Yes, I was told he will recover, but Sasuke is going to need someone to help him.” He said and looked at Naruto.
“What?”
“Naruto you will be helping Sasuke when he leaves the hospital.” Kakashi said and Naruto’s eyes bulged out.
“What!? Why me!?” Naruto complained.
“Because you are his team mate and a male. He may need help bathing so it seemed unfit to have Sakura do it.” He explained.
Naruto went quiet as he heard that he may have to help clean his rival. See him naked. The thought made him blush furiously.
“Kakashi Sensei, you should be the one to bathe him. You’re the adult.” He said.
“Well it’s because the Hokage ordered it. She feels that it would help you get along with him.” Kakashi said and Naruto just went silent.
A nurse walked in and smiled at them.
“Can we see him?” Sakura asked.
“I’m sorry. I was told that he’s to be left alone until he wakes up and then he would be assessed about his condition again.” She explained. “Once that’s done he can have all the visitors that he allows.” The woman left and Sakura sighed.
“That’s unfair.” Naruto said.
“Don’t worry they just want to make sure everything is alright with him.” Kakashi said and they left the hospital. Outside Ino and Shikamaru were standing and came over to them when they noticed the group.
“Is it true Sasuke is hurt?” Shikamaru asked. “Ino and I heard from my cousin inside that he was.”
Kakashi groaned and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
“Simia is going to get a talking to.” He said. (I just made up the person) “Yes it is true that Sasuke is hurt, but don’t worry he’s going to be alright.”
“So what happened?” Ino asked and they started walking away from the hospital.
“We don’t know, he just went off to train by himself and we found him in the bushes with a tree branch in his gut.” Naruto explained and Ino and Shikamaru gasped.
“It wasn’t in his stomach!” Kakashi corrected. “It was in his side.”
Shikamaru blew a raspberry and they sat at the Ramen shop. “Well that’s a big difference. The think was in him.” He said.
“Really sensei.” Ino joined and the older man sighed again.
“The main thing is that he’s going to be just fine. Naruto is going to be helping him when he gets out of the hospital.” Kakashi said.
“Why Naruto?” Ino asked.
“The Hokage demanded it.” Naruto said. “Something about us not getting along or something. I forgot.”
“You didn’t forget, you just don’t want to do it.” Sakura said and Kakashi agreed.
“Okay fine, let’s just drop it. He’s not going to die and let’s eat something. I can’t take care of him if I’m starving.” Naruto grumbled
