A Stray Child

Chapter Two

Sasuke looked out the window and watched as a few angry villagers threw eggs at the compound. Within seconds they were taken away and clean up began. They were still pissed about him being back and he didn’t blame them. He just felt too tired to even run away again or fight with anybody.
With a sigh he sat back on his bed and stared at the wall opposite. It was 2 weeks since his little spat with Naruto and the blonde hardly came by since then. Kakashi, Iruka and Tsunade were the ones that came to see him often. It was depressing that only adults visited him and non that were once considered “friend” or classmates. Sasuke hated to admit that he missed the other teens talking to him and being around him, or just watching them.
But no one his age even walked by the place. A few kids like Konohamaru and his friends would look up and run screaming when they saw him looking down.

‘Am I really that feared? I know I’m a freak, but that’s not my fault. It’s Itachi’s fault!’ Sasuke mentally snarled and tears leaked down his face, even though Uchiha’s don’t cry.
‘He did this to me! He killed our family! He…didn’t have to do things to me!’ He sobbed and didn’t notice Tsunade outside the door, hearing him cry.
With tears in her eyes she quickly removed herself and to an empty room.

‘I know you’re feeling hurt and confused Sasuke. I know you didn’t mean to betray Konoha and everyone in it.’ She thought and wiped her eyes. ‘Seeing you like that just tears me up.’ After calming herself down she went back to Sasuke’s room and walked in.

The boy was still sitting, but he wasn’t crying anymore at least.
“Sasuke I think you should start going outside again.” She said.
“I don’t think that’ll be a good idea unless you want me turned into dog food.” Sasuke finally said.
“Don’t be ridiculous. You can handle anyone if they try to hurt you.” She said and Sasuke stood to look out the window again.
“Why should I stop them? They can do something I can’t do.” He said and her smiled faded.
“Don’t talk like that!”
“Fine, but you guys shouldn’t be worrying about me. I’m not the one that’s dangerous.” Sasuke said and Tsunade’s forehead wrinkled in confusion.
“What do you mean? Orochimaru?”
“No. Itachi.” Sasuke said. “He’ll be coming for me eventually.”
“To kill you?”
“No.” He said and stared blankly out the window.
“Sasuke you can tell me anything. I won’t judge and I won’t tell anyone else.” She said.

“Why doesn’t Naruto or the others come anymore? Do they think I’ll suck their soul out?” Sasuke asked suddenly.
“…No. I think they’re just busy with everything. Jonin and Anbu training is being taken place.” Tsunade said.
“Why do you think your brother will come for you?” She asked again.
“He said once that we’re not really brothers.” Sasuke said.
“Why does he think that?”
“I don’t know.” Sasuke slowly shrugged. “He just said that when he comes for me whether I like it or not I’ll have to be his.”
“His what?”
“…I guess betrothed.” Sasuke said quietly. Tsunade’s eyes widened and her heartbeat sped up.
‘Itachi wants to force Sasuke into incest!?’ She thought.
“I want to be alone…please.” Sasuke said.
“Of course. I’m sorry for forcing you to answer.” She apologized and left him. After a pause at the door she headed off to the huge Konoha Records Library.
